There is also an open-plan living space with a kitchen, fold-out dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove, as well as an external utility/drying room called The Old Summerhouse. Outside there is off-road parking for one car, and an enclosed shared garden with a lawn, patio, furniture and a pond. Fieldfare Lodge is a fabulous choice for a couple’s escape to North Yorkshire.

Resting in the midst of the beauty of North Yorkshire, lying just below the River Ure, is the Wensleydale town of Middleham. Renowned for its history and race horses, Middleham is home to a Norman castle dating back to 1190, with only the Tower of London surpassing its castle keep in size. Cobbled streets and and the market square present several places to eat including cafés and restaurants as well as pubs and shops. The market town of Leyburn is within easy reach as well as the Yorkshire Dales National Park for a host of excellent walks.
