The cottage is located on a hillside, surrounded by fields, overlooking the Welsh mountains in the distance. If you have a pair of binoculars you can see the summit of Snowdon! We found the cottage to be lovely and cosy. The central heating was excellent and kept us warm throughout our stay. The bedrooms are light and spacious with Velux Windows and ample storage for clothes etc Between the bedrooms is a sitting area where you can read, play games or watch DVDs on a TV. The large wetroom has a bath, shower, sink & toilet. There is also an in-built hair dryer. Also, a separate toilet is available in the adjoining room. These are all located on the ground floor. There is everything to keep your outdoor clothing clean & dry. Outside the cottage is a sink for rinsing sand, mud, and seawater of boots, clothing, etc. For drying, there is electrical clothes airer and a washing machine for washing dirty clothing. There is a selection of spades and buckets in a box outside for the beach. There is also a windbreak to borrow. Alan and Gill were very welcoming and helpful with information etc. Highly recommended!

A wonderful location with breath-taking views from the patio.. The cottage was absolutely brilliant and had everything available. The hosts were helpful throughout my visit and let me know what events were happening during my stay. The location was perfect for peace and quiet and would suit couples or families alike. Plenty of walks and easy access to the coastal path and some wonderful beaches - Newborough, Aberfraw, Maltraeth to name a few. Lovely arrival pack in the cottage. I will be looking to book again....

This is our 4th stay at Ffermdy Bach.. My husband and I stay with our good friends and we all love the cottage itself, it's amazing location and the lovely couple Jill and Alan who own it. The cottage contains everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay. On arrival there is always a very good bottle of wine and homemade cake, ground coffee, teabags, sugar, milk in the fridge and a warm welcome from the hosts. The views from the front patio (and front windows) is stunning, across to the Snowdonian mountains and Newborough Forest and Malltreath Bay. The sunrises and sunsets are out of this world. Both bedrooms have good sized comfy beds with quality bedding. The wet room is large and well laid out. There is a great utility room with an extra WC and area to dry towels or outdoor clothes. If the weather is chilly it is lovely to light the log burner and cosy up in the living area with a good bottle of wine and a pack of cards. We will be going back..and look forward to our 5th stay!

The cottage has everything needed for a family holiday. The space has been really well thought out and works really well as a holiday let. Everything is where it should be and works as it should. Its like being at home! Hope to visit again soon.

A very warm welcome by the owners who also left some lovely treats for us to enjoy.. The cottage is fantastic and very well equipped. The views are spectacular, especially on a clear day. It's location makes it easy to travel around if that's what you like to do. There are also some fantastic beaches to visit that are about a ten minute drive away. Fantastic little cottage that's well worth a visit.

A very nicely finished family-friendly cottage with excellent facilities throughout and plenty of space inside and outside. Set in a peaceful and private location with stunning views of Snowdonia. Owners clearly go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and cottage has plenty of DVD's, games and books - we would certainly recommend this property and plan to return next time we are looking to visit Anglesey.
June 2015
Anglesey has much to offer for places to visit and things to do. Ffermdy Bach is ideally located: near a gorgeous beach, almost devoid of people, and charming woodland, close to fabulous castles and many other interesting sights, and a short drive to a major supermarket. And that view... just breathtaking!
Mrs Doney

This is a brilliant cottage if you want a really quiet, peaceful time. The views are stunning and due to the out of the way location it is very tranquil. The log fire makes it a good place for a visit out of summer. The welcome package was much appreciated and the owners are friendly, welcoming and helpful without ever being intrusive. Hard to find fault!

The cottage was in an excellent place with stunning views and easy access to the whole island. There was everything in the cottage you could possible have wanted down to BBQ with outside crockery provided as well as a picnic hamper. We were given a warm welcome by the owners which included a bottle of wine set out with glasses and a home made cake. Their attention to detail was excellent! I cannot praise them enough.

Ffermdy Bach was far and away the best part of out holiday. It was excellent. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Its peaceful and quiet with everything you could possibly need but close to plenty of entertainment for adults and kids. I could rave about this place all day!
September 2014
This cottage was a wonderful place to stay, Gill and Alan are lovely people. The mountain views from the cottage are amazing. Staying at this cottage made our family holiday all the more perfect. A lovely welsh cake was made for us along with a real nice bottle of wine. I think the cottage is in a lovely location not far from Newborough beach with Newborough forest close by. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Have already looked at date's for 2015 :)
August 2014
The owners have thought of every thing you should require for a perfect self catering stay, including a wonderful bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. The building itself is beautifully renovated and the fittings and decor are tranquil and cosy at the same time. The view from the neat patio/garden is absolutely stunning and on a clear day Snowdonia mountains are amazingly clear. The kitchen is very well equipped as is the utility room. The bathroom/wet room is huge and the shower is powerful and temperature control very effective. The bedding and towels were good quality. We are already looking at dates to stay again in 2015.

Really enjoyed our stay, couldn't fault it.
April 2014
We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in Anglesey. The sunny Easter weather has helped but mainly, the beautiful cottage, Ffermdy Bach, has made our week so very special. When my grandson arrived overnight, they even provided toys, stairgates and a cot at short notice. Wonderfully peaceful, beautiful views. Alan and Gillian made us welcome, they seem to have thought of everything. There is a utility room with all you could ever need, including a heated clothes drier. The bathroom is on one level with a walk-in shower. Though it is rural, there are lots of interesting places to visit nearby. The beach at Newborough is lovely, especially when it is combined with a walk through the forest. Just lovely.
