Beautiful cottage in scenic area.. Short drives to all sights attractions towns etc . Extra touches like chromecast/firestick for television. Bikes in shed. Would like to have stayed for longer as so comfortable there. Highly recommend and host is lovely too

An excellent stay that didn't disappoint.. We were fortunate in that ours was the final week long booking before the pandemic lockdown and indeed, Ireland was locking down all around us during our stay. But this cottage is situated in a rural, isolated spot on the west coast of Clare and was ideal for the circumstances. The cottage is modern but with comfy and cosy touches that made it feel very homely. A few small points for the owner to consider for improvement. The mugs were stained and some were chipped - a new set needed. Also, a 'Welcome Pack' with information on arrival would be beneficial to explain for example the garbage disposal/recycling set-up as we wanted to do our bit but were slightly confused as to what went where and when it all went. Also to explain little things like the control for the skylight in the main en-suite double. I slept the first night with it open and the early morning light woke me earlier than necessary. I texted the owner who swiftly responded to say that the control panel was on the door frame - as it was white on white, it wasn't easy to see. I appreciated the owner being so responsive but felt guilty for having to disturb him in the first place. An information pack on arrival would answer these little questions. But in all, excellent and highly recommended. If we were to ever visit beautiful County Clare again, I would definitely consider a return to the Farmhouse.

The cottage was amazing, it was clean and tidy.. It was so homely we have got to our own home and it doesn't feel like home anymore and we are missing how open the cottage is! The fire is perfect for a cold evening and the bedrooms and bathrooms are so prefect. We will be staying back here again. A few little broken bits in the house but couldn't fault as been so busy I cant imagine when they would have had time to fix them!

This cottage was absolutely out of this world set in perfect location.. Showers are of the highest quality beautiful views throughout. Owner was very nice and accommodating as we had to cut our trip short due to some unforseen circumstances, he had offered to arrange 3 nights later in the year for us to take as we had to leave 3 nights early, true gentleman

We were only there for 3 nights, going to the Irish Open at Lahinch.. So the location was perfect. Directions to the property could be a little better, as in the middle of nowhere, but we found it eventually. The property was perfect for us and the amenities top class. Cannot Really suggest any improvement

It is such a beautiful cottage and place to be.. The house is really modern and has everything you need. We had no problems with the communication to the lessor. And i also have to say, that the cottage has a perfect location. Near to Doolin and Lisdoonvarna, but nevertheless absolutely quiet and privacy. Perfect! All people were so friendly, doesn't matter where we were. You don't have to speak perfect English to understand. When they noticed that you are not from there, they spoke slower. My family and I are avid of all these beautiful impressions. The house, surrounded by beautiful nature, the beautiful and small villages, all the kind and friendly people, everything were quiet beautiful. We hope we will come back as soon as possible.

An excellent stay.. A welcome pack with information about the cottage facilities (eg remote control of the bedroom roof-light), local facilities, bin collection day and where to leave the key on departure would have been appreciated. A visitors’ book would also be useful as recommendations/experiences can then be shared. Having said that we would recommend all of the local restaurants, pubs and cafes we visited! Top of the list, however, was the Doolin Inn for breakfast served between 8.00 and 10.00pm, and the Ivy Cottage for evening meals. The town of Ennistymon is well worth a visit and the Little Fox cafe offers tasty and very different lunch options. All the pubs in Doolin are good but the best draught (local) beer we found was in Fitz’s Bar Doolin and The Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna. The Doolin Inn also sells bottles from Western Herd which is excellent! A ferry trip to the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher is definitely a must. We booked on-line a couple of days before we went with Doolin2Aran Ferries once we knew the weather forecast was likely to be favourable. This company is highly recommended.

The Farmhouse was decorated to a very high standard.. The bedrooms & bathrooms were a very generous size & 5star rating. The showers & bath were a real luxury after exploring The Burren which was a truly unforgettable experience. The kitchen was fully equipped & all appliances appeared new. The sitting area was very comfortable with a wood burner which made it very cosy at night when we reflected on our day. Family bikes were provided, barbeque & outdoor furniture. The Farmhouse was located close to Lisdoonvarna, Doolin & The Cliffs. We also visited Lahinch, Milltown Malbay & Spanish Point. We enjoyed exploring Doolin & visiting the knitwear & crafts shops & having a cuppa. There are many nice eateries but we enjoyed eating in O'Connor's Pub & our daughter enjoyed visiting the Chocolate Shop. The people in the area are very friendly & helpful in their recommendations. The highlight was visiting the Cliffs of Moher. We had a very clear sunny day & the views were magnificent. Bring a Picnic & take it all in! We were very recluntant to say our goodbyes to West Clare. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse Cottage. We would highly recommend it & we hope to return soon again. Thank you to Clement & John who were on hand to show us to the cottage & if we required any assistance. Thank you to Hogan Cottages for a great listing of Cottages & for helping us to find this real gem, "Farmhouse Cottage" Claughan, Co. Clare. Looking forward to returning already. Happy Holidays Sharon Lowe

This was the best home we've ever rented! It was clean and comfortable and had modern amenities. The location was quiet and the view from the street (of the cliffs and ocean) was amazing. Thank you so much!! If it is helpful to know, the bike tires were flat so having a pump in the shed would be helpful. Also, it was super helpful to have the person (who met us in town and led us to the property) show us how to turn everything on in the house because a lot of the switches weren't intuitive.

We booked this property for my fiancé and her bridesmaids for the night before our wedding. When she arrived, the electricity had gone in the small area and the owner was nowhere to be seen. We thought at the very least he would offer candles, a generator or maybe find them alternative accommodation considering we had our wedding the following day! The power never came back so we had to book alternative accommodation ourselves which was more cost. This property cost us €300 and the owner refused to give any sort of refund at all! We weren’t expecting it all back but we thought because we couldn’t use it that he would provide something but no, he wanted to completely ignore us. My wife had to rush around getting things ready which was not ideal when he could have made some arrangement to help but he never did. Avoid this place, not for the property itself, but for the owner, pure ignorant!!

Pro's -------------------------- Fantastic Bungalow.. Well decorated and high quality finish. Quiet and peaceful location. Very comfortable. Easy access to major roads for touring the area. Great view of the stars at night (clouds allowing). Sky TV and acceptable wifi (dropped out one morning for a half hour). Cons -------------------------- No soap in bathrooms. No shaver socket (for electric toothbrush). Never found a room thermostat so property was always very warm (although my wife puts this as a plus :) ). Overall: -------------------------- Would highly recommend and will likely stay here again.

An excellent property with a high level of finish and facilities.. Very comfy beds and excellent bath and showers. One note - you may wish to amend the listing to state that although broadband / wifi is available at the property due to its rural location, it only runs at 1 mbps at best, which means internet searches and making bookings online can be rather laborious. Other than that a fantastic holiday home.

Had a wonderful week this March at Sykes.. Cottage is very comfortable, tastefully decorated and is well equipped. Especially loved the log burner and very comfy bed. What a fabulous property, which exceeded all expectations, the cottage was well equipped with everything you could require , home from home, the standard of the property and interior design was far better than expected for a holiday let, gorgeous open fire, and comfortable beds, the people were friendly and welcoming and the area just stunning you can see the sea from the gateway we didn't manage to find a footpath that lead directly to the sea unfortunately but that didn't spoil it .. I would not hesitate to book this property again , first class, I didn't want to leave :(

If I had to describe the Farmhouse in one word, it would be 'quality'. Everything from the furniture and appliances, to the towels and bedding are of the highest quality. Staying there was a delight. We were here in March and found it to be very warm and cosy, particularly when curled up in front of the fire. The location is excellent; very peaceful and quiet, but only a few minutes drive from Lisdoonvarna and just 10 minutes from Doolin. It's a great base for exploring the Burren, with most of the major attractions less than half an hours drive away.

Just back from a wonderful holiday in Clare and staying in this holiday home made the trip truely enjoyable. It looks impressive from the outside but as soon as you go inside you will be taken aback by the high standard of this house. The kitchen is very well equipped, beautiful bathroom, great showers, lovely bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, nice comfy couches in livingroom area. The house was very warm and there was hot water 24/7. Having wifi was a great bonus and there was plenty of TV channels. The owner has put great thought into providing everthing you need to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I absolutely fell in love with this house!! Definately the nicest holiday home that I've stayed in. Location is great as the house is in a lovely quiet area and yet only a short drive to Doolin or Lisdoonvarna. Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Caves, Lahinch beach etc. are all on your doorstep.

Overall excellent a lot of work went into the preparation of the property very clean and well presented.. The position of the cottage was excellent so nice to get away from it all. The outside and garden furniture if weather permitted. We enjoyed the experience it close by car or bike if your fit to Doolin.
