This single-storey, detached cottage has a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and a table seating four guests, and a sitting room with a TV with FreeSat and DVD player, and an open fire. The bedrooms include a double and a twin, along with a bathroom. The shared grounds have outdoor seating and a gas barbecue, along with private off-road parking for two cars. Within 3.1 miles, there is a shop, and within 3.4 miles, a pub. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, but please note, smoking is not permitted. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Note: There is a pond on-site, please take care. Glaisdale is a tranquil village on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, near the Esk Valley. The settlement contains a post office, a butcher (famous for pork pies) and a hotel/pub with restaurant. Whitby and the shore are 9 miles away, as are the charming moorland villages of Hutton-le-Hole, Lastingham and Thornton Dale, as well as the market town of Pickering. For something a little more sedate, visit Saltburn by the Sea, a beautiful Victorian beach resort. The North York Moors Railway ends at Grosmont, where you can take a steam train trip amid beautiful moorland landscape.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
