Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, a celebrity chef on the Food Network, chose the area for the location of his River Cottage headquarters at Park Farm. Lyme Regis, on the beautiful Jurassic Coast, is only a short drive away. The sandy beach is ideal for swimming and water sports, the quaint harbour offers regular fishing trips and the opportunity to go fossil hunting, and the town itself is a delightful maze of narrow streets with interesting shops and cafes. Axminster, a picturesque town just a short drive away, is worth a visit, as is the Seaton Tramway. Wonderful place to spend a holiday that offers a wide range of opportunities.
