Area The quay area of East Looe is always bustling with maritime activity because Looe is Cornwall's second largest fishing port; it is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven-arched bridge built in the 19th century over the River Looe. East and West Looe are connected by a river taxi service. While West Looe boasts a beautiful view across the harbour, East Looe is known for its winding lanes and quaint shops catering to tourists. From the quay, you can walk to Banjo Pier, a great vantage point for seeing Looe Island across the bay and for watching the returning fishing trawlers. Looe's sandy beach, which is located right next to the pier, is a favourite among local families for its calm waters and wide open spaces. Kids will also enjoy the fantastic rock pool area at Hannafore. The charming Kilminorth Woods feature way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect, and bird life, and the recently opened Heritage Centre in the Old Sardine Factory in West Looe feature a climbing wall and a cafe. Apart from the beach, the area of south-east Cornwall is rich in World Heritage-listed mining landscapes, including Bodmin Moor and the Tamar Valley. Authors like Daphne du Maurier have found inspiration in this part of Cornwall, and much of Bodmin Moor figures prominently in stories about King Arthur. In this scenic area of Cornwall, there is a lot to discover.
Region Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Stayed at Tudor cottage in Love, a quaint cottage in a fantastic location, very well equipped with washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and cooker. The kitchen has a good range of utensils, crockery and cutlery. Dining table easily seats 6 and has a lovely wood burner but no logs supplied.
Lounge has very comfy sofas and a nice TV, and internet is available, situated on the 1st floor along with a snug twin bedded room.
2nd floor had a nice comfy king size bed and the bathroom.
Downside of the cottage
2 very steep winding staircases,
King size room has to be entered to get to the bathroom, very limited wardrobe space in both bedrooms, King size room has a massive wardrobe but more than half of it it locked and not available to guests. Towels are supplied, but they are the size of a good hand towel and no good as bath towels, and only 4 supplied, no other towels available. Bathroom floor is pained white and very very slippy when wet.
Kitchen worksurfaces are wood and so very sticky, despite being cleaned numerous times. Oven was dirty and I certainly would not eat food cooked in it, cooker top was very greasy and in need of a deep clean, freezer was iced up and needs attention. There were a total of 6 light bulbs not working in the property. Worst of all was outside the back door, buckets that had been by previous guests had not been removed and the stench from the rotting crab bait was unbearable. Not sure who is responsible for the cleaning of the cottage but it certainly was not up to standard.
A few minor tweaks and the cottage would be a superb holiday let
