There is no parking up the narrow alleyway at the back of the house.. This should be removed from the description. This is the only drawback to this lovely property which we have visited 4 times. We managed to get a slot up the nearby street but parking tight and we dare not move our car for the duration of the holiday.

Excellent location for park, shops, bars and beach.. Very dog friendly. No problem parking. Not used to road noise but soon got used to it. We would return again due to its proximity to everything you need on foot. Had great holiday.

It is our 2nd time at Elizabeth house and we love the area and the house is very roomy and comfortable.. It is great that we can take our dog and there are lovely dog walks round the corner from the house. We will be back.

The house itself is lovely and generally well equipped.. The kitchen had everything we could’ve possibly needed. One small but very useful addition to the property would be a clothes airer - the weather was so bad we couldn’t hang washing on the line. Well situated for the Mere and the town and only a ten minute walk to the seafront. A lovely welcome pack was provided and very much appreciated (great to have a cup of tea after a long drive and not even need to unpack) and it was nice to have the bird feeders in the garden that had obviously been filled before we arrived. We loved watching the sparrows have their breakfast whilst we had ours. The only disappointing thing (and it’s quite a big thing) is that there is no off-street parking. The listing suggests that this is available and it was definitely one of my criteria when looking for a holiday rental. I have an autistic son and off-street parking makes it safer for him and easier for me. We managed the situation ok but I really think this amenity needs to be removed from the listing - we were able to pull up behind the house to unload but then had to find on street parking and with double yellow lines in front of the property it meant trying to find a space in a side street, often a few minutes walk from the property.

This house is wonderful, lots of space, lovely and clean.. The owner had left us coffee, tea + milk plus lots of loo rolls and cleaning things which was very thoughtful. The property was very close to the town centre and an easy walk to the seafront. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Just returned from a great week away at this property, the owner (Nick) was very helpful with all details prior to our arrival and the house itself was excellent for our needs. Can't complain about anything, we had a great stay in Hornsea which is a really nice town. Great beach, lots of cafes and restaurants, a stunning lake and a great park if you have your dog with you as we did. All of our group enjoyed their stay and we would definitely come back. Thanks again Nick.

Fantastic accommodation in a great position for shops, beach and a lovely park.. Within walking distance of Hornsea mere and the beach Although we all really enjoyed the holiday I think the dog enjoyed it the most due to the location and all the fantastic places to walk Would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future

Elizabeth House was a great place to stay in Hornsea.. Although on a main road, it wasn't noisy and was extremely well situated to walk into town, the park and the sea front. The house has every that you need, was spotlessly clean and very warm and comfortable ( we visited in January). Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic large, comfortable house in a great location.. Stayed here as a party of 6, 3 generations and the house suited us all perfectly. Plenty of space, room for us all to sit comfortably in the sitting room and round the table. Nice, big bedrooms. Very well equipped kitchen, not that you need to us it! So many pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways within 5 minutes walk. Hornsea really has everything you could want right on the doorstep of this house. It's not possible to park at the property but we had no problem parking 2 vehicles on the next side street only a minutes walk away. Our children loved the play park, skate park and zip wire in Hall Garth Park, and also visits to Bugtopia, The Deep and 10 pin bowling.

Elizabeth House is a well presented property that made an ideal base for our visit to the area.. Hornsea, with all its amenities, is a short walk away - the best way to the seafront is through a park, ideal for the dogs. The only minor quibble is the curtains in the main bedroom let in too much light - but then we're used to a blackout blind at home... All in all an enjoyable stay,

Excellent accommodation but no designated parking you have to take pot luck up a side street nearby.. However Mr King did give us alternative parking nearby.

First I must say that the owner Nick us one if the nicest people I've spoken to on the phone.Thank you. Elizabeth House is an amazing home which is comfortable and close to amenities. Not far from Hornsea Beach which is beautiful. We popped into Stackhouse pub a short walk away which is relaxed with a selection of drinks.Five Bite takeaway is the best pizza I've had and the teenagers loved the gourmet burger. Swiss Cottage is good to eat at with generous portions all home cooked but YOU MUST BOOK.Lovely place. Harper's chip shop where you can eat in or takeaway is quality. The home was warm, cosy ,exceptionally clean and well loved and looked after. We were all relaxed and home from home. Only thing is leaving. We didn't want to leave.

Elizabeth House is a perfectly placed holiday home , in a village with a few minutes walk through a park to the beach ( both dog friendly ) . The house has four comfortable bedrooms, all spotlessly clean , and a large kitchen with everything you could possibly need . There were fresh flowers on the table and milk , tea, coffee and biscuits , two TVs , dvds , games ..... and great local pubs and takeaways . The owner ( Nick ) was available via mobile but everything was in order and we will definitely be looking to visit again .

The cottage was big and comfortable and well prepared with every need catered for.. It was bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. A veritable tardis !!!!!!!! A wonderful place to rest your weary head after a day out and about.

It was advertised as Parking for small car, but could not get my Micra in because of a clematis climbing all over the gates.. It either needs chopping down or parking removed from advert.

This was our first holiday booking of this style previously we had only stayed in hotels. The cottage appealed as soon as we opened the front door. It was clean, had a fresh smell to it and was tastefully decorated. The owners have skilfully retained the character and age of the property whilst incorporating modern features. All rooms had the essentials needed and the property layout whilst very functional had the air associated with older properties. The location being on a main road into Hornsea may give rise to apprehension but despite not being double glazed we found that the slight distance from the road kept noise levels down sufficiently that we were untroubled. Surprisingly we also had very little noise transfer from adjacent properties. Close by was Hornsea Mere and a childrens play area. 3 pubs within 200 yards meant that food, drink and a varied entertainment theme was "on the doorstep" but we found the pubs were only lightly patronised and didn't create and form of disturbance. The village started on the doorstep and continued for about half a mile down a single main street. The beach is quite a step away being at the far end of the village which is where a lovely little sports centre is with good indoor swimming facilities. Having enjoyed this style of accommodation we will be trying other cottages. We would have no hesitation in returning to Elizabeth House and will try to return later in the year with relatives.

What did we enjoy most? So hard to say! The house was gorgeous; huge rooms, spotlessly clean, homely, full of so many kitchen implements - pots, pans, plates, glasses etc.... double what normally have so weren't always washing up - dishwasher anyway, welcome pack unexpected but very welcone after long journey. The setting was wonderful, so close to hornsea centre and seafront - walked everywhere and didn't use car for 4days. Beach beautiful, even swam in sea. In fact, we swam, jogged, rowed on the mere, walked and beach combed every day and all loved it. It was a delightful house which lead to a perfect family holiday. Can't wait to come again. The Wright's (Bristol), the Morgan's (Lincs) and the Hales (Herts).
