This is an enchanting cottage, cosy and beautifully furnished, set in a fabulous, rambling garden deep in the Welsh countryside, near Lake Bala.. It has excellent wifi access for anyone wishing to bury themselves in delightful surroundings and work 'from home'. The host is unobtrusive, but is on hand and extremely helpful if needed. I would heartily recommend this holiday stay.

What a beautiful cottage.. Mrs Wood is unreal she cannot do enough for you, genuine lovely women. Two log fires, tumble dryer, washing machine, very very comfortable beds and the views are stunning. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals or the Town of bala is ten minutes drive with takeaways and Co op shopping at your dispence. The cottage is tucked away but close enough to go and explore North Wales, we took our 4 kids and thier cousin and went out everyday to see something new, great part of the world. Thanks Bethan x

The cottage was just gorgeous! - in an idyllic setting and the views from every window are all lovely. The owner is so friendly too and made us immediately feel welcome and at home! The cottage had everything we needed and more! It is exceptionally well-presented, clean and comfortable, with lots of extra touches which make it feel so homely. The woodburning stoves were an absolute delight - so cosy at mealtimes and of course wonderful to enjoy in the lounge after a day of adventure. There is lots to see and do around the local area. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location!

We had an excellent stay at Eithin Fynydd (Gorse Mountain).. The cottage is a quiet rural retreat, peaceful and relaxing, in a beautiful garden setting. Situated between Bala and Dolgellau it makes the perfect base for exploring this southern part of Snowdonia. Cadir Idris, the Reinogs and the Berwins are close to hand for adventurous walkers. As is the Tanat Pass and Pystyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, a lovely drive. Water sports are available at Bala and for whitewater at Manons Cafe and Whitewater Centre. The owner Mrs Woods is so nice and wss really helpful to make our stay so pleasant.

Lovely cottage in a nice peaceful location.. The owner Mrs Wood was just as lovely and very helpful, not that we needed much help as the cottage had everything you could wish for. Would go again.

We had a marvellous a week at Eithin Fynydd from the time we arrived and saw the wonderful surroundings and garden until we begrudgingly left at the end of our stay.. This wonderful cottage offers truly comfortable accommodation and every little detail was thought of to make our stay an exceptional retreat from the busy world of 2019. The cottage was originally chosen as it is just of a the famous Mary Jones Walk, a walk which my wife had waited more than thirty year to experience and although she only completed two of the five stages (the walk is more than 25miles) to come back each day to the peace and rest at the cottage was wonderful. The cottage owner lives next door and is a delightful person and is extremely helpful and willing to assist with any concerns, of which we had none. We will look forward to visiting Eithin Fynydd in the future to complete the walk.

We had a wonderful time here.. The cottage and gardens are beautiful and Bethan was a great host. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the cosy wood burner! So relaxing and peaceful! But we did explore the attractions nearby and recommend Coed y Brenin, Ffestiniog Railway and eating out we had an amazing meal in Bala at Plas Yn Dre

The cottage was more than we expected , so homely , comfy sofas and especially with the log burners we struggled to find the motivation to leave it on a daily basis (on Sunday we just didn’t bother] .. A lovely host , we couldn’t have asked for more.

Super cosy cottage with a large equally cosy garden. Cottage has everything you need for your stay, including 2 woodburners. Cottage and garden are decorated with an eye for detail ... you could stay here for 2 weeks and still discover new things in and around the house.

This was our second visit to Eithin Fynydd and we have another booked for July - we like it so much. The cottage is beautifully furnished and the garden well maintained. The chickens are real characters and provided much amusement. Bethan, the owner, is a fantastic host. Light the woodburners and curl up with a good book. The local area is stunning.

We had an amazing time in the cottage which was so beautiful, spacious and cosy.. The location was perfect as it felt remote and was in a stunning location but not far from Bala lake or the local village. My 2 year old daughter adored the chickens and the cat as did we. The gardens are beautiful with amazing views and feels like a little fairytale. We even saw 3/4 buzzards flying over us one morning which was amazing to watch. will most likely return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eithin Fynydd and are already considering returning next year. The cottage is quite secluded but the upside of this is the tranquillity and the superb views. The owner Bethan is very welcoming as are her two chickens. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has plenty of cutlery and crockery etc. Lovely grounds and parking for 2 cars. The boys enjoyed lighting the wood burner in the lounge in the evenings.

The cottage is superb and it was a privilege to be able to visit it.. The linen and towels are not only of an excellent quality but were the whitest of whites. It doesn't feel like a rental but a home from home. We loved watching the dragonflies hatching in the pond and the tadpoles turning into frogs; we picked just the right week. The cottage is excellently situated with the ability to drive out to anywhere; we spent a day on Anglesey this year. We will use the cottage again!

Arrived at cottage recently for a weeks holiday in Wales. The owner could not of been more welcoming and was really friendly and helpful throughout the week. Could not fault the cottage, spacious, clean, beautiful gardens and had all the mod cons. Location great with a great pub within 30 min walk and more pubs, shops and things to do in Bala. Would thoroughly recommend this place and could not of picked anywhere better to stay.

Oh my where do I start? Eithin Fynydd is everything we ever wanted from a holiday cottage. It’s full of character with all the mod cons set in stunning surroundings. Every second we spent there was enjoyed. Starting with the warm welcome from the owner. Not only are the rooms spacious, tastefully decorated clean and well kept with everything we required as a family of 6 (4 adults 2 young children and a dog). The gardens are amazing with a 360 degree panoramic view of all the surrounding hills. The whole place oozes tranquillity and our only regret was the fact the week went by so quickly. It is a fantastic cottage that we would all thoroughly recommend. We shall be back.
