It's our third stay at the cottages which says something really.. The location is beautiful, have seen eagles and stags in the past. The cottage is very well equipped, a welcome pack of tea/coffee/sugar/milk would be nice, just to kick start the holiday.

This was our second stay at Driftwood Cottage, we love it so much we have already booked to come back in March 2020.. . The cottage is amazing, very accommodating host, great size, great facilities, great location and even greater views.. However, for us there was a downside. the mattress in the en-suite room is a (very) firm ortho-mattress, so for us made it extremely uncomfortable.. sadly my wife and I ended up sleeping in the twin room..! Other than this I can not recommend this place enough..!!

The cottage is wonderfully situated overlooking the sea: the views are beautiful and we could watch sea eagles from the garden.. We met the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly.

WE HAD A GOOD HOLIDAY IN THIS COTTAGE WITH FANTASTIC VIEWS TO CELIBRATE OUR GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSAY, ONLY DOWNFALL IS THE ROAD UP TO COTTAGE WHICH IS PRETTY RUGGED AND CAUSED A BIT OF DAMAGE TO OUR CAR, PERHAPS THEY COULD LEVEL IT OUT AT BIT..

Driftwood Cottage is in a superb location and has everything that you need for a good holiday but some of the furniture and equipment is rather dated and could do with being refreshed.. Having said that I would very happily go back tomorrow! The views over the Sound of Mull cannot be beaten.

This was our second visit to this group of four delightful properties.. We now have stayed in Sunset and Driftwood. We chose to come to Mull again this year just so we could experience one of these cottages again. It was warm (underfloor heating) and very comfortable - a pleasure just to sit around on the one day when it rained for hours. The view is lovely, looking down over the sea. We did light the log stove a couple of times and this was very easy to manage, as we do have an open fire at home. Plentiful supply of logs in the utility area between the cottages. We had an issue with the TV when we tried to tune it in but a phone call to the owner solved this as he talked us through it. We would certainly choose one of these properties on our next visit to Mull.

The garden chairs on the grass area and table were in need of replacement due to poor maintenance also the table was quite small if 4 people were to try too eat there.. The internal paint work and doors could be refreshed. After saying something negative. It would be hard to find a better location and views also central to explore Mull.

We have just spent 5 days in Driftwood Cottage and loved every minute of our stay. The well equipped cottage is situated in an elevated position about 10 minutes drive from the ferry at Craignure. Surrounded by hills and with stunning views across the water to the mainland, it's a birdwatcher's/stargazer's heaven. There is a local Spar grocer shop in Salen, 6 miles away, which stocks just about everything you need for self catering. The cottage is cosy with the underfloor heating kicking in when it gets cold and the log burner is very efficient. The fenced garden is ideal for dogs and small children. Would highly recommend a few hours on Iona, if only to see the white sandy beaches and colourful rocks.

The cottages are ideally located for exploring Mull with great views.. The cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The small enclosed garden is perfect for a dog. It was a very wet the week we were there and unfortunately we had problems with the underfloor heating turning itself off. It was off for 4 days out of the 7. The owner was very helpful doing his best to get it sorted. When it was on it was unbearably hot in the bedrooms but the cottage soon felt cold when the heating went off. The wood burner came in handy!. A few niggles - the sofa and armchairs need replacing as you can't sit on them without sliding onto the floor, the single mattresses were incredibly uncomfortable and the headboards bang on the walls every time you move in bed. Apart from that, we had a good stay.

We were very pleased with everything until the last night when we had a complete power failure in the early hours of sat morning and were unable to wash the bed linen for you if some form of emergency lighting was available this would be great I e candles or a lantern of some sort .. but having said that one of the best holiday homes we have ever stopped at congratulations .
