Wonderful character holiday cottage.. Well equipped and spacious accommodation. Excellent location to reach a variety of attractions easily; Salisbury, Winchester, and the New forest all within easy reach. The owners are friendly and helpful; on arrival the owner made sure we had milk for a hot drink while we awaited our grocery delivery. The cottage is located on a farm with walks available; the owners provide details in the cottage. We had 4 pre-school grandchildren in our group and they loved the horses, chickens, sheep and cows.

Location was fabulous; rural, quiet, on a working farm with friendly owners who were very helpful. The house was comfortable and warm. Hampshire is delightful; a hidden gem.

Lovely cottage in great location.. Easy access to Salisbury, Romsey, New forest and Winchester. The cottage was very big with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. Quiet location surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside but good local shop within walking distance and local pubs both good. Will definitely return.

The welcome by the owner was warm and natural.. There were nine of us but the accommodation is so extensive that we all had corners to disappear into on a wet Saturday, mostly spread out on the sofas. The farm style kitchen was the hub for the families, warm and cosy as with the rest of the accommodation. Fresh eggs are accessible for breakfast from the farm. There is a green lane adjacent which leads to a little used tarmac lane which takes you to the village shop and the Black Horse pub with a choice of footpaths to return on. We all went to Mottisfont Abbey, National Trust, and Salisbury, both half an hour at most. Could have gone to Winchester but we pottered around Stockbridge which is a delight. So, a great base, deep rural, starry nights and bird song filled days but with easy access to all amenities. This was our fifth time but not our last.

We were a party of 10 (8 adults + 2 children) plus two well behaved dogs.. The accommodation was perfect for our special family gathering. Spacious, rather quirky, and fun. The owners of the property were charming and welcomed us on arrival.

We were a party of 6 Ladies on a walking weekend and the cottage met all of our needs.. It has a rustic charm, and is rather quirky and old fashioned which was fun and it is a lovely setting in a farm with all the farm buildings around it. We enjoyed the fact that it has a lovely history, being the old dairy. The house is not at all modern or elegant but It is very roomy downstairs with a good size kitchen to gather in and the bedrooms and bathrooms are of a good size. It is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The garden is perfect for an early morning cuppa and an evening glass of wine with plenty of seating. The owners were very polite and attentive and answered all our queries promptly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and we completed half of the Clarendon way from Salisbury to Broughton, which I would highly recommend. The house is near to Mottisfont house which is a must visit National trust property. A great stay!!

The cottage was ok - the description was accurate in terms of the basic facilities - numbers of rooms etc.. The owners had gone to a lot of trouble to put lots of flowers / hanging baskets outside (watered daily) which looked lovely. However, everything inside was just a little more basic than I would have liked / expected in a rental costing me more than £1500 per week - I don't think it would take a lot of investment to improve the experience substantially - a few examples: - the kitchen is equipped with a collection of cast-offs (yet has a (presumably expensive) range cooker). There are only stainless steel pans - no non-stick ones. There are whisk fittings for an electric whisk, but no electric whisk, etc - the beds are ok but could be a good deal more comfortable, the bed linen / towels are ok, but you would not call them luxurious - the lighting throughout the property is provided by a somewhat confusing mix of table lamps and spotlights with light switches hidden in odd places The wifi/broadband is patchy (although that's probably BT's fault rather than the owners') We gained some amusement by trying to work out what angle had been used to take the photo of the property - to create the impression of a spacious lawn and a property standing on its own (in reality the dairy is part of a collection of old farm buildings with a smallish (pleasant) patch of grass / patio in front) We still enjoyed our holiday, but I would not regard it as "value for money" - I think the price is set at a premium level that the equipment of the house does not match up to.
