A lovely cottage which met all our expectations.. The owners Dorothy & Brian Jackson were absolutely charming and helpful. We in fact stayed 2 weeks in Dorothy's Cottage as the owner arranged for the family who had booked for our second week to have Brian's Cottage instead, thus saving our having to exit with all our luggage by 10am and return at 4.30pm - a very thoughtful solution. A super week.

Everything provided that we needed for a great holiday.. Cottage was spotlessly clean. Location was perfect for us - about a 3 mile walk (or cycle!) into alnmouth along farm tracks and cycle paths which made for great evening strolls. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to all age groups.

This is an excellent property in a quiet setting.. The accommodation was clean and tidy and the kitchen well stocked. This is indeed a home from home. Highly recommended.

So me and my auntie and family all decided to rent this lovely little cottage for the new year weekend 2018/2019 and we weren't disappointed. It has a lovely kitchen and sitting room with enough space for all 6 of us. The cottage was always warm an cosy. The bedrooms are lovely. The only problem I had was I was stopping in a single bed and the mattress was hurting my back but that maybe because it was soft and I'm used to having a much harder mattress. It is about 5 minutes drive from alnwick but everything about it was beautiful.

Excellent location for visiting the area, perfect if you have a large party and can book all 3 cottages.. We found it to be comfortable and clean but the carpets may not be to your liking, especially if you prefer hard floors. For example, if you have allergies or just don’t like the idea of carpets from a cleanliness point of view. All in all, a well equipped cottage in a great location.

We had a very enjoyable week at the cottage.. It was extremely comfortable and we felt at home from the very first evening. The owner's daughter Katherine was there to meet us and was very helpful explaining things and answering our questions. She was very welcoming. The cottage was spacious and well-equipped for our needs. The cottage is in an ideal location for walking on the Northumberland coastal path, visiting Holy Island, Alnwick and Bamburgh castles and National Trust properties. The holiday was made even better by the good weather we experienced. Although there was a cold wind on the coast it was fine all week and we had lots of sunny days. We would certainly return to the cottage for another holiday.

A lovely cottage that provided everything that we needed.. A family with two young children. Lovely surroundings and near to Alnmouth and Alnwick. The children loved playing in the garden. Plenty of space. Highly recommend.

This cottage is just outside Alnmouth which is a lovely coastal village with pubs, PO, gift shop and deli. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The living space was comfortable with 2 sofas and an armchair. Once you master the log burner (keep the door open whilst lighting it) it's very comfortable for the evening. The kitchen is large and the cupboards have plenty of crockery and pans (frying pans looked a bit well worn so we didn't use them) and cutlery. A small downside is the the property gets virtually no sun. The French doors open on to a shared garden but when we got home in the evening the sun didn't reach the cottage which was a shame. There was only one table in the garden but 3 cottages. Neither of these issues are major but a long G&T in a sunny garden at the end of a day is very enjoyable. Of more concern was the stairs. They do a U Turn halfway up and there is only a handrail on the first section. If you have any mobility issues then you need the security of knowing that the rail goes to the top of the stairs. It should be fixed on the wall side and not on the left as you go up. In the bathroom where the shower is over the bath, there is no grab handle to help you out of the bath. Overall a good cottage and the area is lovely.

Excellent location and the large garden helped the boys to let off steam.. We enjoyed the huge bbq and evenings in the garden. The cottage was delightful

A very enjoyable stay.. The cottage was warm and comfortable. Tastefully decorated to match the property and fully equipped. We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas and with the log burner, and Christmas tree provided, felt very much at home. We needed to ask a couple of questions and Dorothy and Brain sorted these out very quickly, including coming straight up to show us how to work the electric Cooker! We would certainly book to stay at this cottage again regardless of the time of year - though perhaps we'll opt for the summer next time so we can appreciate the wonderful setting and countryside.

The cottage was probably the best one we have ever stayed in for the location. The facilities available in the cottage, a proper home from home, excellent. If it wasn't so far to travel we would return every year. We could have done with staying a fortnight.

We were greeted on arrival by the owners and told where things were and the nearest local supermarket was for shopping. The cottage was very clean and modern with ample space for everyone with a nice garden at the rear of the property. It's just a shame that the weather wasn't too good so that we could take advantage of this facility.

Cottage was ideally located for touring the area. Northumberland coast is beautiful. Lots of lovely gardens and castles to visit. Fantastic bookshop (Bargain Books) in Alnwick to lose yourself in when it's raining. The owner was most accommodating and welcome milk and jam were much appreciated.
