We have just arrived home after the most amazing week staying at Dolce Casa .As a party of 8 spanning 3 generations ,this was the ideal base to spend our week . On arrival after a long 11 hour journey,it was so lovely to be greeted by our welcome hamper ,chocolates and cakes for the kids and a well needed alcoholic drink for the adults . The house was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need to prepare and cook our meals .The kids loved the separate lounge with TV and board games and enjoyed having their own private wing with the bedroom upstairs . The games room in the garage kept them entertained in the evening ( along with a game of pool at the Craig Bar ,a must visit when staying at Dolce Casa ). The location up a small lane was peaceful and quiet yet only a 30 second walk through the alley to the high street .The house does back on to a petrol station but it's very quiet and caused minimal noise .Grantown on Spey has everything you need from a great coop supermarket to a fantastic chip shop and Indian restaurant ,All within a short walking distance . The only tiny niggle was the super hard mattress in the upstairs bedroom with mirrored wardrobes. I can't praise the property enough Thank you Dolce Casa for a truly amazing stay .

We stayed in July 2021 as a family of 4. On the surface the cottage looks lovely. It was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for our stay and a few things more, like a selection of DVDs, board games and the games room. There was plenty of space and the rooms had good storage. However, the cottage was let down by being a bit tired and in need of TLC. 2 out of the 3 double beds were uncomfortable/ too hard for us. Tiles were missing on the floor in the bathroom, the garden was messy/ dirty/ broken and the garden furniture had seen better days. The sofas were inadequate and past their best. The towels provided were adequate but tiny, hand towels not bath towels. The property sits behind a well used petrol station which really needs mentioning in the property overview as it was noisy and the fumes were quite over powering at times. It should also be noted that access to the property is also quite tight. Good to know if you're not keen on parking in tight spots!

Great little town.. Great not so little cottage. Roomy, clean & very comfortable. More facilities that expected. Great central location for plenty of places to visit. 2 minutes to the high street where there are at least 4 take aways for anyone who doesn’t wish to cook. Had all our shopping delivered by ASDA. Little awkward to find at first. Cottage is down the little track opposite the Craig Bar. The Craig Bar is worth a visit. Interesting decor and even more interesting barman- Robbie !! Overall a fantastic place.

We had a slight hiccup on arrival the boiler for the heating and hot water was not working.. We contacted Sykes who let the owner know who then contacted us. The boiler was sorted on Sunday morning before 10 am.

Great house , perfectly suited to extended families or groups of friends due to its layout.. Ideally located right behind the high street in Grantown. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops on your doorstep, with the incredible and beautiful Anagach Woods within 5 minutes walk too! We loved the well equipped spacious kitchen, the hot tub and the spacious layout. With double oven, two fridge freezers and washer dryer as well as dishwasher, ideal for self catering for a larger group. Very peaceful location, blissfully quiet for such a centrally located property. Generously equipped with plenty of games, films, TVs, plus a games room in the garage. Few minor maintenance issues that were quickly addressed. Overall excellent property.

The property is like a home from home, fully fitted and very comfortable.. We didn't use the wood fired hot tub or games in the garage, but the options available are welcomed. A minor issue with the previous rental not taking the refuse down the access road to main road was quickly and satisfactorily resolved by the accommodating new owner. A great pub at the end of the access road, a minutes walk really, along with the main town 5 minutes walk, meant we didn't go without. If we were to return to this area of Scotland we'd definitely be keen to return to this property.

This house is gorgeous - modern, beautifully decorated, very clean and with some lovely touches like books, DVDs and, of course, the traditional hot tub in the garden. I was lucky enough to stay here during the hot summer so we spent every night sitting in the (very private) tub with some bubbles watching the stars appearing. The house has been finished to a very high standard, with modern bathrooms and kitchen and very comfortable beds. The open plan lounge with wood burning stove gives the sense of loads of space but will be lovely and cosy in the winter too with the stove on. There is also a great second lounge with big TV and games ideal for children/teenagers as well as the garage with pool table etc. Grantown itself is a lovely wee bustling town with a main street with several good restaurants, pubs, butchers, bakers etc. It's also a great base to explore the surrounding area with Landmark Adventure Park just down the road and Aviemore and the Cairngorms just a short journey away. We discovered Andersons restaurant in Boat of Garten this year and its well worth the trip (tho book ahead!) This is a perfect house in a glorious area of Scotland and we will definitely be returning.
