The cottage sits in a very quiet tree lined lane and is only 5 minutes away from the town centre of Nairn. It's beautifuly kept and so clean and fresh. Really well equipped dining kitchen, cosy little living room with woodburner and nice big TV and various games etc. Bedrooms are bright with loads of cupboard and drawer space and great bed comfort. There's a lovely private garden too with seating, gazebo and gas bbq. Parking for 2 cars. The owner lives next door but does not interfere, he even left us flowers and freshly baked scones and was so helpful. Would certainly recommend the place it's lovely.

We have stayed in quite a few of your cottages over the last few years ,and would not book with anyone else ,they are always to a good standard.. We just hope we can get to the one we have booked with you for Christmas .with the current situation. We look forward to staying in many more in the future.

We feel that the description and especially the photos did not do justice to the cottage..

Deskford cottage is ideally situated for touring around this lovely area of the Highlands, the cottage is spotless, the log burner is cosy and the welcome pack with the scones is much appreciated after a long drive north! We visited Cawdor Castle, Culloden, epic drive over to Applecross, scary mountain roads but fantastic scenery all the way. Dunrobin Castle certainly worth the drive to visit, fairytale castle! Nairn beach is lovely, we had a very good evening meal at the Bandstand restaurant in Nairn. Our lasting impression of the Highlands is the scenery, it's beautiful! The people are so friendly, we have met some lovely people on our travels around, everyone has so much time to talk to you.

Miserable weather on day of arrival but mood immediately lifted by the quality of the accomodation. Cosy lounge with wood burning stove and an array of board games, DVDs and information leaflets. Extra downstairs bathroom very welcome with two kids! Bedrooms are bright and airy with Velux windows and kitchen/dining room very spacious and well-equipped. Little extras like the 'welcome pack' of milk, tea, coffee, sugar and home-made jam and scones make this a cut above. The cottage is in a great location, not far from the town centre and with a Co-Op and playing field/small play area just around the corner. Ample parking and a very pleasant separate garden opposite. Highly recommended.

This property is perfectly situated for exploring - small beaches, castles, lochs, Inverness shopping! I was travelling solo and felt safe and welcomed to the cottage; the owners were available as required and left me to my privacy also, which is important to me. I would like to return with some of my family - its their turn!

This is a lovely cottage, nicely decorated, located in a lane just off main road into Nairn just a few mins away and it also is the main road for Inverness. The cottage has a good sized kitchen, owner friendly (next door)and nice welcome pack provided. There is a small co-op store very handily nearby.Nairn itself has a lovely beach and a nice restaurant called Sundancer on front. We stayed first week in July and weather was lovely which enhanced the holiday and the beautiful highlands. This is an ideal place to stay for whatever type of holiday/break and good base for getting to the numerous historical sites and other attractions.Highly recommended.

This is a lovely cottage.. Nicely decorated, good sized kitchen with all appliances, located in a small lane within easy reach of main road into Nairn or to Inverness.Owner Mr. Stuart friendly and welcoming(did not meet Mrs .Stuart).Nice welcome pack provided.I would recommend this cottage as a good base for visiting the surrounding area and attractions.Of course the weather was also lovely which does enhance the experience but even so the cottage would still be a good place to stay. There is a small co-op store at the end of the lane which is very handy.Another week would have been ideal to see more of the beautiful Highlands and places of interest. My wife and i enjoyed our stay and holiday in general immensely and have no hesitation in recommending a visit. If there is anything to quibble about at all its just that, although practical, there is a lot of gravel at the front but this is just a minor thing.--John/Joyce Swales

You felt at home the moment you arrived.. Was just delightful. We know the area having lived there for a few years. But just having somewhere like this to come home to and wake up made our holiday even more memorable

We had a great time staying at Deskford cottage.. The cottage was very clean and modern. The little extras were a nice touch such as the welcome basket, having towels and little bottles of shower gel and body lotion. As well as the information book on appliances in the cottage and where to go for coffee, lunch and dinner. The emails from the owners welcoming us and if we had any problems just to let them know was a good idea

We enjoyed our break in Nairn very much. We were out sightseeing mostly every day and Deskford Cottage was lovely to come back to. Because of the aspect the cottage, the garden gets sunshine most of the day, so it was lovely to have morning tea, or an evening glass of wine enjoying the sun's rays. A delightful welcome basket including home made bread and jam was waiting in the kitchen. A most comprehensive instruction book giving details of how to work systems and appliance, and lots of booklet information for the area was available together with a personalised introductory letters from owners Phill and Karen Stuart.....thank you both for the big part you played in our very enjoyable holiday. The cottage itself was very clean and very comfortable.
