Deekswood is a wonderful, detached cottage, situated in Pilling, over the road from the owners' home where they have horses and pigs on their pastureland. The property has an open plan living space with a super king-size double bed and a sitting area with a gas stove, along with a wet room and a snug with ramped access and patio doors. Through an archway, there is a kitchen with a dining area and outside, there is an enclosed patio with furniture and a luxurious, private hot tub, as well as ample off road parking. In a great spot, perfect for exploring this beautiful region, Deekswood is the perfect romantic getaway.

Accomodation Details
All ground floor. Open plan studio accommodation with super king-size double bed (zip/link, can be twin on request) and sitting area with gas stove. Wet room with freestanding bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC. Kitchen with dining area with archway leading to snug.

Poulton-le-Fylde is a market town in Lancashire, with cobbled streets and a selection of shops and restaurants. This area offers walks in the Trough of Bowland, the seaside resorts of Blackpool and Morecambe, and the scenery of the Lake District National Park to enjoy.

Deekswood was a beautiful well thought out cottage.. Very well equipped, lovely hot tub and extremely well maintained. Good location for visiting the area. A lovely touch having the chickens so we could had fresh eggs everyday. The friendly sheep behind the cottage and helping bring the horses in was a wonderful experience. Dave & Kath were the most perfect hosts who offered advice on places to visit and we would thoroughly recommended the cottage. We hope to visit again in the future. Regards Michelle & David Holman

Where to start? The location was ideal for the break we needed. Deekswood is a beautifully and tastefully converted barn which gave us everything we needed for a relaxed week of reading, walking (country lanes and public footpaths in the surrounding area). The 'green' technology was very impressive and the owners, Kath and Dave couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. Fresh laid eggs from the coop in the drive were absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the friendly sheep and the horses in the field behind the barn. We have stayed in many self-catering properties over the years and Deekswood has to be top of our list on all counts! We fully intend to return as soon as we can!

The reason that I have put meets expectations rather than exceeds is because we have been at this property twice before.. This was our third visit and it only goes to prove how much we love this property. It is remotely situated and thoroughly relaxing.

The property was spotless, spect out to a very high standard ,comfy and homely with every thing you could think you would need and more the location was tranquil with lots of good food pubs dotted around .. fresh eggs every morning from the coupe in the drive now that,s fresh . dave and kath were so welcoming more like old friends rather than the owners.but were not intrusive at all. the little treats and the goodies in the fridge on arrival was a really nice touch the area has some nice walks and is only twenty minutes away from costal towns like fleetwood and cleveleys .we had a really great chill out week and were sad to leave but we will return in the summer for some more chill time and test out the hot tub too

Deekswood was a fantastic holiday let for my 10 year old son and I.. The barn was way beyond our expectations and was so clean and lovely. The sheep and chickens in the field at the back of the barn were fabulous and my young son just loved them. I couldn’t recommend this property enough, we had such a relaxing and fabulous stay. The owners even left us some lovely cakes, milk and tea / coffee which was totally unexpected! The location was also perfect being so close to Lancaster, Morecambe, Blackpool and Fleetwood. Fantastic place and location - highly recommended.

Deekswood was one of the most pleasant properties we have stayed in ( a real gem).. The welcome pack of milk, tea/coffee & biscuits were perfect after a long drive. The location was excellent for getting around . The owners lived across the road and were the perfect hosts - but unobtrusive. The property was truly a home from home. The bed was really comfortable, the kitchen extremely well equipped, hot tub is an added bonus, good parking, WiFi was good, wonderful supply of DVD's films and games - the list is endless - everything was perfect. A beautiful cottage in a peaceful location but conveniently close to places of interest.. We enjoyed the experience of the hot tub situated outside and loved the wet room within the cottage. The option to collect our own eggs from the chicken coop was a nice addition and the taste of these eggs were delicious ! Generous car parking is provided with excellent access to the cottage. We would recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed for a week at Deekswood and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kath and Dave are lovely and were very accommodating. They even showed us round their small holding so our son could say hello to all their animals. We were unsure about the inflatable hot tub as we had only been in regular ones previously, it failed to disappoint!! Thank you very much for our stay!

It was lovely, we booked at the last minute and we were delighted with the cottage.. We overlooked the owners field with three lovely sheep who were very friendly. There were also two chickens who laid eggs for us every day. The cottage itself was beautiful - all on one level and very nicely equipped for self catering. Can't praise this stay enough it was a lovely relaxing holiday.

This is a truly exceptional property. Cosy, comfortable and quiet with countryside all around. Perfect for a romantic break away. It is a great base for walking, cycling and/or relaxing. The cottage provided all creature comforts, we loved the underfloor heating. Kath and Dave ,the owners, we're welcoming and a fount of local knowledge. We definitely plan to return.

Deekswood is a very cosy open planned bungalow nicely placed in the countryside and convenient for Blackpool and the Lake district which we both did.. The facilities were great at Deekswood but the only thing I would reccomend is to add blackout curtains,maybe cos i'm use to them at home. I would definately reccomend staying here and would myself again.

We stayed here in April, so a little delayed on the review, but couldn't not write something. This cottage really is fabulous and the hot tube is a nice touch. The surrounding areas are very peaceful, perfect for a romantic weekend away. It's also about an hour away from the Lake District. The kitchen and bathroom are designed to a very high spec and underfloor heating and fire are a lovely touch. The owner is pleasant and accommodating and the fresh eggs each morning are great. We will definitely be visiting again!

Deekswood cottage is a dream home set in lovely countryside and Cath and Dave are ideal hosts willing to help in any way they can.. The cottage has all the amenities you could wish for with great views from the windows and patio. There is a feeling of peace and tranquility about the whole place. the location is ideal for visits to the lake district to the north and south to Lytham Blackpool Fleetwood Preston and Lancaster if you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind then Deekswood is the place for you. we will be returning in the future

This was our first visit to Deekswood but certainly won't be our last. The cottage was beautifully decorated and finished to a very high standard. There was everything you could possibly need for a relaxing weeks stay. It offers peace and tranquility but is within an easy drive of bustling towns and local attractions. We were both really impressed with Deekswood and Dave and Kath were very welcoming and knowledgable hosts. Loved all the little extras and thoughtful touches throughout that made this a real home from home.

On the north coast of the Fylde, with Blackpool ten miles down the road, Deekswood gives easy access to Lancaster, RSPB Leighton Moss, WWT Martin Mere, the Forest of Bowland. We welcomed the freshly-laid eggs, the vast (and very comfortable) bed and especially the hot tub - a great place to lie and watch swallows collecting food for their nestlings. The owners, Kath & Dave, were very friendly and helpful; the cottage is very spacious and had everything we needed. We would happily book this again (it's a Friday-Friday let).

Lovely cottage with a home from home feel, the cottage is set in its own private grounds, loved the wet room and especially liked to sit in the snug on an evening. Dave and Kath are very welcoming and the freshly laid eggs make a fantastic omelette. Would definitely return and hope to do so soon.

As soon as you open the door at Deekswood you immediately feel at home. It is a warm and cosy cottage with everything to make you feel as though you are in your own home. It is very clean and comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and extremely friendly and helpful. The eggs are delicious. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough , it is perfect for a couple who like peace and quiet and home comforts. The area is of outstanding beauty with many places to visit within easy reach of the cottage.

This beautiful cottage has been lovingy rebuilt it has everything you need and has been done sympathitically so blends in with it's surroundings. The kitchen and wet room are to die for. The bath and shower are perfect after a long walk but why bother when the hot tub is so inviting. It is perfectly placed for Liverpool Blackpool and the Lakee district. There are many walks on your doorstep and decent pubs. The owners are amazing very helpful with suggestions for walks, pubs and places to eat. The fresh eggs from the chickens just have to be tried. We have not left yet and already looking at booking for next year. There is a flight school down the road so if you fancy a tandum paracute jump you can book that too. If you are looking for somewhere to relax or walk or cycle this is the place to be.

A wonderful little cottage in Pilling which is close to Blackpool and Lancaster.. The cottage was in immaculate condition and matched the photos on the website. The owners, Dave and Kath were welcoming hosts and had set up a cot and highchair for our daughter who slept well in the cot. The cottage was always at a nice comfy temperature due to the underfloor heating and the kitchen was sufficiently stocked with equipment for us to cook dinner. There are chickens near the cottage and they provided fresh eggs every morning which was really the cherry on top! Overall, a really lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Deekswood cottage is a very charming and romantic place to stay, just ideal for a busy couple like us.. We really enjoyed all week there, Great location. We were explore the Lake District National Park which is approx an hour to drive. The hot tude is fantastic and giving feel yourself in a luxuri relaxable holyday what deserves ;) Much better equipped than I expected. The "own" hens at the side are great idea from the owners, so you can have a very fresh egg for your breakfast. Dave and Kath very hospitable owners! My and my partner are very satisfied by them and wish them a lot more happy guest and looking forward to go back Deekswood cottage again! Thank you!
