A beautiful cottage in the heart of Skipton but let us down as there was no where to put the food we had brought, crackers bread tins etc. Cupboards full of things we couldn't use, nowhere for coats to hang when it rained or didn't but the worse thing was the shower/bath. The bath took too long to start to fill and the shower was ok till you got in and it was boiling so had to get out. Not good at all and need's fixing. Most people in the visitor book said the same thing but it's not been fixed. The bed was comfy but it was in singles, shame. Would not come again.

Just had a lovely few days away in this cottage. Very clean and well equipped, great location in the heart of Skipton. Parking at the property, which although central is quiet and peaceful. Overall, very nice.

We have just spent a few days at Daisy's cottage. It's a gem, tucked away in a very quiet area between the High Street and the canal. It's close to everything, yet very peaceful. We loved having a parking place and the little patio where we were able to sit out and enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Lovely décor inside, a very comfy bed and a fantastic free standing bath enhanced our stay. Amy, the owner kept in touch to make sure everything was going well. It was - very well! Thank you Amy and see you again

No toilet paper provided (or if it was it was well hidden) had to go out and buy some.. Hot water only luke warm and seem to run hot and cold alternately making a both and shower impossible. Nowhere to put a washbag or toothbrush in the bathroom except on the floor. Needs a bathmat and a decent shower stall..What was the linen basket for? Pointess wash stand in the bedroom and all the drawere were full of bedlinen - what are you supposed to do with the four cushions on the bed except leave them on the floor. Towel needed in the kitchen

The shower over the bath is not very user friendly, the curtain style cubicle is very small and you end up with it wrapped around you, the operating method is also a little hit and miss.. There were no instructions or information pack with the cottage, you had to work out how to operate the cooker by trial and error. No information about what could or could not be recycled, or when the bin should be put out for collection. We did contact the owner on a couple of things and she was very quick in responding.

We had a wonderful few days at daisy cottage in stilton.. . The cottage was beautifully presented ,it was small and quaint and cosy, because it was tucked away behind the high St, it was so quiet and we were only one minute from the high St with lots of shops pubs and restaurants. They have a really good outdoor market several days a week along the high St. The icing on the cake is you have a proper parking space right outside the cottage, we can't wait to go back soon.

Daisy cottage was a nice little cottage.. It was clean and obviously well cared for. The private parking space was a bonus. It was well situated in the centre of Skipton being only seconds from the High Street. The downstairs is open plan and cosy but would benefit from a proper blind/curtain on the kitchen window and back door as there was little privacy at night with the downstairs lights on. Upstairs the bathroom looked fantastic with a large roll top bath with beautiful looking shower over. However this proved to be fairly impractical in use and I would advise that this is not suitable for use by the elderly. The bathroom also suffered from lack of privacy at night as the large clear glass window was only covered by a see through blind. The bathroom door would not close, something I see has been reported in previous reviews but not dealt with. In the bedroom space was taken up by what seemed unnecessary items ie a large wash stand when it may have been better to replace it with a bedside cabinet and lamp. The wardrobe and a number of drawers were full of various items of bedding leaving little room for clothing. We enjoyed our stay but it was marred by a totally impractical bathroom.

Ideal base in Skipton for walking either in the hills around Grassington and Malham.. Excellent walks along Leeds and Liverpool canal. We actually hired a day boat from Snaygill boats in Skipton ,which was well equipped and even included tea and coffee etc. Property was ideally situated, tucked behind the High Street, near the canal. Supermarket 5 mins walk away. Definitely the cleanest and most comfortable property we have ever rented. Comfortable beds and settee.

Great location - very close to most of the things we wanted to do/go see.. Hard to imagine anywhere better in that regard. Good private parking. Just a few things - could have done with a bedside table on my side of the bed, not just the missus'. Come to think of it, there were two beds - would have preferred a double. Rather chintzy decor, but perhaps aimed at much older people. The antique jug and wash-basin stand was going a bit too far though. The bath was very strange, with a plug that closed/opened every time we stepped or sat on it, and it was impossible to avoid doing that. The overhanging centre taps were very much in the way and the shower curtain clinged disconcertingly in a 360° cold wet embrace. The bathroom door would not shut. Had a good time though.

The cottage was very homely and comfortable, and very well equipped with what we needed.. Furnishings were to a high standard. And I personally liked the large single beds, so comfortable, i slept very well. The location was exceptional, really close to the market town of Skipton.but you never heard noise at night from the town.so close if you had forgotten something it would only be 5 minutes to go back and collect.change foot wear or use the bathroom. The church chimed in Skipton and it was very delightful, idyllic .we had a front door and a back door both accessible to the town and to people watch. And our car was safely parked outside ourback door in its Owen parking space at no cost at all..we never used the car all week it was fabulous.we used the train twice and it was great. There was plenty to do in Skipton,a delightful market town, restaurants and pubs ,and a market 4times a week. Town hall has plenty of things going on through the week as well. This is our second time to Skipton and Daisy cottage is the best bye far, and we can't wait to come again and stay at Daisy cottage. And I must say Amy the owener of Daisy cottage was great, so helpful and accommodating.

We found the cottage very comfortable for two and spotlessly clean.. It is situated in a quiet cul de sac just 20mts from the high street with a private parking space just outside the front door. The fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. The only small criticism we have was that the shower over the bath was very claustrophobic due to the shower curtain space being quite small. We were welcomed with milk and biscuits and Amy the owner checked that we were comfortable and was just a phone call away if we needed anything. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to a return visit.

Daisy's Cottage is a charming property located in a very quiet cul de sac yet only around 30 metres from the Town Centre shopping area where numerous independent shops are to be found along with the open air market.. The cottage offers everything you may need for a self catering holiday and I had a very peaceful stay with no noise whatsoever from neighbouring properties. Skipton is a great Town to be based to explore the Yorkshire Dales and I had a very enjoyable two week stay.
