Nice owner, Helen.. Lovely gardens Cottage very neat but rather dark and a problem with odour via plumbing - stairs to bed were a tad dicey. Shower adequate but very tiny. Heaps of places to visit.

A pretty cottage set in lovely surroundings.. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great time and would definately stay again. There was a welcome folder with lots of useful information and maps plus a huge amount of leaflets to assist with possible places to visit. There was a provided hair dryer in the dressing table drawer plus a jug of milk and basic tea, coffee and biscuits which was nice. I think the site should promote this cottage more and list more of the many places that are easily accessible such as Felixstowe which has a long beach, amusements, crazy golf, fort etc. The Maybush public house nearby has an excellent river view plus great food. The only slight negatives are: 1. The drain smell in the bathroom plus the shower controls were very stiff. 2. Has an old TV which has an extremely slow tv guide. However these are minor niggles and not the main purpose of staying in such a place so our overall rating is excellent

We had a very lovely stay at Daffodil Cottage.. Very warm cosy oldie worldie. Flowers and garden lovely, peaceful and quiet. Plenty foot path walks to take our dog. The May Bush Pub was dog friendly, and excellent for meals, with lovely river side seating for eating also.

Amazing ramblers retreat, great for walking or visiting the local area with all the facilities you need and more.. Helen greeted us with milk, sugar, tea bags and coffee, then showed us how to work everything in the cottage. Welcome booklet explains lots of places to eat, try The Maybush which is top of her list, excellent food. There is map with public footpaths on which we used to plan days out, if you like a walk, but all are within 15 mins by car. Very understated cottage, thanks Helen for a lovely stay.

Helen, the owner, offered a really warm welcome and made us feel immediately at home/ease on arrival.. Daffodil cottage was compact yet spacious enough to feel roomy, being open plan. It contained everything we needed to make our self catering week run smoothly. It was also clean and tidy and well organised/laid out. The gardens added to the experience: they were beautifully kept, peaceful and had a variety of different spaces and outdoors equipment to aid rest, relaxation, eating and socialising. We really liked the tree swing and hammock. The countryside setting was tranquil, and a short walk across fields to the river Deben, whilst also being 10 -15 minutes drive to the local town of Woodbridge, Sutton Hoo and the nearest large supermarket, and a half hour drive to the coastal resort of Felixstowe and also Rendlesham forest. I would not fail to recommend Helen, Daffodil Cottage, the beautiful gardens and the overall location to other holiday makers.

The cottage mostly met expectations, it was nicely converted and was set in a beautiful garden amid lovely countryside.. The owner was pleasant and friendly. However, there was no Welcome Pack apart from a jug of milk. There were no basic cooking ingredients ie. salt, pepper or cooking oil. From past experience over many years these are usually available this is no problem if you are forewarned that it is necessary to bring absolutely everything you might possibly need for food preparation if you don't want to go shopping on the first day. There was no way of receiving radio, the TV was not modern enough to pick it up and no radio was provided. There was no hairdryer. There was a horrible smell of drains in the bathroom which needs investigating. Since the bathroom led off the kitchen and sitting room the smell permeated the cottage at times despite the owner's attempts to mask it with scented reeds.

Lovely little cottage.. Helen, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. I was looked after really well. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location, with several nice places to eat only a short drive away. There are many interesting places to visit, including Framingham and Orford castles as well as the world famous Sutton Hoo. Will definitely be returning. Very pleased.

Daffodil Cottage is a well appointed and equipped cottage, in a great location, close to main roads. Plenty of dog walking areas which is what we needed on our holiday. Lovely riverside pub nearby in Waldringfield The Maybush which is a must visit. We would we book again...Absolutely as there loads more in Suffolk we have yet to see and Daffodil cottage is the perfect base.

This cottage was superb, it was better than we expected, and the landlady had thought of everything. There were large grounds that we could use and the only noise going on was the birds. Highly recommended and will be using it again.

A lovely property in a quiet, but not isolated, location. The cottage was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. It was also very comfortable. The owner was very helpful and unobtrusive. I really enjoyed my stay and was made to feel welcome. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Very friendly owners, beautiful location and stunning gardens. We had everything we needed for a weeks holiday. Daffodil Cottage is lovely place and its a great location for visiting the sites in Suffolk. There are many good pubs within walking or quick driving distance and the kitchen is well equipped so a Sunday roast in the cottage is easy enough. Would definitely try to book again when we come back to Suffolk.

A really cosy and character filled little cottage, very homely and so relaxing. The photographs don't do it justice at all. Would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to others. The owner was very helpful and even though available at all times, left us alone unless approached by us. Had a great time!

Daffodil Cottage is a lovely little place, perfect for a short break. It's very well presented and has a high standard of amenities, better I would say than advertised. The cottage is in a great, out-of-the-way location; it's perfect for outdoorsy-types who like walking, cycling and generally getting out into the countryside. The nearest pub, The May Bush, is within easy walking distance. We went there on four consecutive days; it offers very nice good value food. I would happily go back to Daffodil Cottage again.

We had everything needed for a short relaxing holiday and the owner was available but left us in peace to come and go as we pleased. The garden was well tended and still colourful in October. A good location for places of interest as well as dog walking.
