Fantastic house in beautiful location.. I do recommend having a car or other form of transport as shops are far away and there is a lot to explore on the Ring of Beara and beyond. This was exactly what we wanted, and the location is beautiful for walks. I would highly recommend this house and area for a peaceful, tranquil and comfortable holiday. It is a the perfect location for exploring as it is halfway down the Beara Peninsula and also at the foot of the Healy Pass which will bring you into West Cork in minutes.
Beautiful cottage with amazing views.. Crisp clean beautiful smelling bedsheets. Kitchen has everything you could need and is open plan to dinner and sitting room, perfect so you don't miss spending time with the family. The downstairs bedroom was a plus for us as my mother travelled with us and she isn't so mobile. Bedrooms are spacious and clean with comfy beds. I would definately recommend this property. Plus the owners mother that met us on arrival, lovely welcoming lady.
We was sad to leave
The house is perfect for exploring Kerry and the location is absolutely stunning.
We had a fabulous 3 days here and would definitely recommend it.
Fantastic location for exploring Kerry.. The house was spacious and the facilities were great.
As a professional painter for a property mgmt and letting company the condition and quality of the house was remarkable.. A pleasure to stay there.
Absolutely beautiful home in a wonderful part of the country, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay in Curraha again.. Dermot & Judy
A clean, tidy, well finished house, spectacular views, especially sunset, great location for touring Kerry and West Cork.. Lovely friendly people always willing to help. Plenty of room, all rooms are large and airy.
This is the best equipped and has the most breathtaking views we have experienced.. A friendly welcome really starts the holiday well.
Remember to get your shopping done before you arrive as there is not much chance when you get there. This is the price you pay for the tranquility and the beautiful views.
The location was remote, but exactly what we were looking for! It was very easy to drive to local sites and attractions. The host made us aware to pick up our shopping before we arrived and let us know where the closest small shops and villages were. It was a wonderful base to explore from. The house was very clean, well provisioned and very comfortable.
The hosts were amazing! So friendly and understanding with our requests and provided us with everything we needed! We will absolutely be booking here again later on the year and I will encourage more of my own family to book this property because of its amazing value!
This house is stunning! Such a great location. We took our 2 dogs with us and they had a ball too! It is out the way a bit (nearest pub 4km, shops 30 mins drive. There maybe a local shop open during the summer 10 mins walk) this wasn't an issue for us. There were so many lovely walks on the doorstep. We even walked the 4km there and back to the pub one evening and they allowed the dogs in. (Food nothing special at the pub but cheap and cheerful and staff lovely. We even went for a quick pint on the way home with only the card, which they dont except and they let us drop the money in the next day!)
The house itself was so nice. Kevin that met us when we arrived was very nice, said if we needed anything to ring him, which we didn't. The only thing I would mention is if you're not used to heat (like we arent) ask Kevin to turn off the heating as you can always put it on boost if you feel you need it. We were there end of October and the house was very warm. Fab insulation I'd say (this is not a complaint, we just aren't used to the heat!!).
Take a walk to Rabach Glen while you're there (info in the book at the house) it's a good 4/5 hour round walk from the house but you can also drive down to make it a 2/3 hour walk. You must put dogs on a lead as there are sheep there.
We will definitely go here again as we still have so much to explore! Thanks to Sinead (who owns the house) and Kevin (the host)
A lovely house situated in one of the most wonderful location in Ireland! We truly enjoy Beara and we' ll be back again !
Located between Kenmare and Castletownbere, nestled among the mountains, magnificent base for touring both Cork and Kerry, very clean and tidy new property, beautiful property with everything you could need.
