Great house, clean and well equipped.. Well sited for local attractions and activities although local roads can be tricky in places. We found the journey too much but once ar Gairloch, enjoyed the holiday immensely.

House has everything you need, comfortable and in a good location.. Good parking space- plenty of room. Wifi works well and good TV set up.Owner very helpful on the phone and put milk and bread in fridge for us. Only niggles were having to keep an eye on electric £1 meter, phone network deadspot, rubber bathmat would be useful, we couldn't find a teapot!

The cottage was very well equipped, I could find anything I needed.. The bed and the sofa were very cosy. I did like the furniture of the large living room and the practical serving hatch to the kitchen. The cottage is surrounded by trees and rhododendrons, so the view out of the window is lovely and you even catch a glimpse of the harbour. Creag Hastin will be my top choice for a next stay in Gairloch.

Lovely cottage in great location an had a great holiday but .. . one of my criteria was an enclosed garden but it was only partly fenced and my dogs could get onto the road through the bushes and trees

This is an excellent cottage, the pictures on the website really don't do it justice, You would think it was a small square flat roofed building, but actually its so much more, and the balcony off the first floor landing is plenty big enough to have a breakfast or evening snack outside, while enjoying the fabulous views of the nearby mountains and over the harbour.. Brilliant base as well, an hour and a half's drive from Applecross in the south, and Ullapool in the North.

Creag Hastin is a lovely house in the heart of beautiful Gairloch. My family (including a toddler and little dog) found the accommodation to be exactly what we needed as a base for exploring the region and it is located only a short walk away from the local beaches, golf course, harbour and The Old Inn restaurant while you are only a few minutes drive away from the shops. The house is very clean, well equipped and spacious while there is ample parking in the grounds. The gardens are large and ideal for dogs to roam, there are some parts that were overgrown but in general was in good condition, and as a bonus there was a patio area with seating/table to enjoy the view looking down to the harbour/sea/hillside... However, the rain made sure we were not going to enjoy this as much as we would have liked. Overall, I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a quaint relaxing accommodation in a peaceful part of the country while not being too far from the local amenities.

Mr & Mrs Gunn are very considerate hosts as well as being friendly and welcoming.. They have upgraded the WiFi since our last visit and it now works better than ever. They also replaced the DVD player which had developed a fault just before we arrived. We are planning to return again next year.

We enjoyed a wonderful two weeks in this homely yet quirky house in an idyllic location.. With everything you could possibly need on the doorstep and proximity to the fabulous beach and interesting working harbour - you could not want for more. Perfect for dogs and humans alike with lots of lovely walks and dog friendly local pub and cafes. A holiday to remember and look forward to again!

Creag Hastin is a delightful holiday property in a prime location in the village within walking distance of the harbour, shops and the Old Inn.. We were lucky enough to meet the owner when we arrived and she was very welcoming. The house is comfortable and was spotlessly clean. We will certainly try and return next year.

The house is in an ideal location, close to all amenities and adjacent to the golf course and beautiful sandy beach.. It was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, it was comfortably furnished and the mattress so comfy, I took a note as I'm thinking of getting one! Cleaning materials were provided free which was very useful. I would highly recommend Creag Hastin and the Gairloch area is fabulous for outdoor activities.

Although not a "chocolate box" exterior this is a very comfortable and fully equipped house. Its location is ideal, within walking distance of the shops, cafe, hotels, harbour and adjacent to the golf course and bank and a stunning sandy beach, whilst the large garden retains the feeling of being in the country. The interior was spotlessly clean and had cosy furnishings, lots of books( I loved finding one of the family's Sunday school prize from 1955) and not the clinical Ikea interior of so may holiday houses. The soft furnishings have been tastefully updated since the photos were taken and the mattress on our bed excellent. There are great walks nearby for dogs and the wider area offers innumerable beautiful walks at all levels. On a rainy day the Gairloch museum is fascinating. Many thanks to Mrs Gunn for coming to the rescue when we forgot our towels! Great value for money.

This is the second year we've stayed at Creag Hastin. The house itself is extremely comfortable and very well-equipped. What makes it an idyllic holiday home, however, is its location. Situated in the Charlestown area of Gairloch it is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, the beautiful Flowerdale walk, the golf course, the harbour with its friendly shop and a number of boat trips, and the charming Old Inn where you can find very delicious food at a very reasonable price. Both my husband and I, and our four children enjoyed the most wonderful holiday here this year and we were all very sad to leave. Hopefully we'll be back again soon.

This house was perfectly positioned in the small village of Gairloch. Two minute walk down the road, a right turn was the harbour where you could book fishing/whale watching trips and a left turn was the local pub and the flowerdale waterfall walk. Ten minute walk in the other direction was the most amazing beach! We stopped at Creag Hastin with our two dogs and they loved every minute of our fantastic holiday! They were truly tired when we got home as there are so many lovely walks and places to visit. The house itself was clean, homely and well looked after, with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The house had a massive drive, front garden and another garden to the rear which was very secluded with large hedges all the way round the property (beware with your dogs as there are holes in hedges that they could escape though). Overall an amazing holiday!!!

My first view of this area was on a warm sunny afternoon with all the sail boats on the sea, so beautiful. Very dramatic scenery, lots of things to do and see, lovely sandy beach nearby - perfect for the family including pets - I came home with a puppy from a local farm and his name is Hamish!

Our third visit to this property and I was very impressed with the new furniture the owner had installed since our last visit. As usual we had a fantastic holiday with everything we needed close to hand. There are some lovely scenic walks literally on the doorstep with great restaurants and shops close by too. The only downside was the annoying midges which stopped us from enjoying the fabulous garden as much as we would have liked.
