We had a wonderful weekend at Coopers Barn.. The setting is idyllic, as is the barn itself. The barn was very well equipped with everything needed for our stay and much more. Everything in the barn is of high quality along with a beautiful hand made kitchen. The welcome touches, from the Yorkshire Brack, chocolates in the bedrooms and even treats for our little cockapoo were much appreciated. Looking out from the dining area the windows frame the stunning views, so there is always something different to see with the changing sky and light. Just open the door and head up or down the road and enjoy the walks and of course the views. We actually had a bbq and did a bit of star gazing! We would recommend Coopers Barn it definitely deserves a 10! Our thanks to Chloe for calling in to check on us and ensure we had everything we needed. Also Boo the cat and Swift the dog two sweet visitors.

A lovely barn conversion, so relaxing and a beautiful setting.. Excellent facilities, comfy beds, comfy sofas and a well fitted out kitchen, with good equipment. Fantastic for walking and close to lots of villages nearby. The farm cat Boo was the icing on the cake for us!

Could not have asked for a better holiday.. Coopers barn was an idealistic and charming barn conversion set in a peaceful countryside setting. The facilities inside the cottage exceeded our expectations. It was clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped. Outside you could see for miles of unspoiled natural beauty. The owners were friendly and welcoming and approachable. They allowed the dog (a white German shepherd) to be exercised in a field on their property. Would definitely consider coming again next year.

This is a brilliant barn conversion.. We cannot fault the comfort, the views and accessibility to all the lovely countryside and coast within a short distance of this property. We cannot think of anything negative to say. We stayed second week in September 2018 and the weather was really kind to us. It was like home from home. Lovely room sizes beautifully fitted out with everything you need. Parking just outside for one car and extra parking just seconds away. Whitby and the rest of the coast is within close proximity and so is the North Yorkshire Moors railway station of Grosmont. Fabulous week. Owners extremely friendly and helpful and live next door if you need them otherwise very unobtrusive. Lovely owners and fabulous accommodation.

Coopers barn is much better than the photos, it has the most wonderful view from the kitchen window of the countryside and so quiet and peaceful.. It was handy for us to get to many places we hadn’t been before. It was good to have the two en suite bedrooms and extremely well fitted out. I think anyone would be extremely happy to call this home for their holiday period. Ii also have a holiday let property in Spain where I live and thought it was good but Coopers Barn is just as good.

Had a nice relaxing week in Coopers Barn, didn't want to come it was like home from home or even better as the views we had there we definetley don't have at home.. Loved everything about the cottage itself we couldn't fault anything, loved Boo coming to visit every morning while we sat on the patio having coffee. We will be back in the future as our friends want to come with us next time as we haven't stopped talking about it since being back.

Coopers Barn was as we expected, clean, well maintained and all the facilities needed.. the owners, Fran and Glyn, were extremely nice and helpful and the welcome tray and the Christmas decorations were very much appreciated and make the Barn look very festive. We were welcomed personally and then left alone for the duration of our stay, although we were told to contact them at any time if a problem. We would certainly visit again but maybe in the Spring/summer due to its quite remote location as if the weather was bad (snow and ice), would make driving very difficult due to the narrow and winding roads to the cottage. A must for anyone wishing to have a "away from it all" break, but within 20 minutes of the beach and facilities of Whitby and the lovely homely and friendly pub at Egton Bridge.

Some of the "Sykes Cottages" pictures are out of date! Nothing wrong at all with the Barn, it deserves it's 4* rating, it's with the personal touches that were lacking ....All homely parts of the place are second to none, little expense seems to be have been spared. Don't go without Tea, Sugar, Milk or even Bread ......... for a place that covets a 4* accommodation it was a shame that the owner hadn't the ability to understand that the "Personal Touch" is an essential to one's enjoyment of the place, one will always commend the "York Moors" as most of the reviews will herald but should one arrive to the barn and have nothing to make a cup of tea with it's a "bummer"! Chickens occasionally roam the field in front of the barn, what great "PR" to be presented on arrival with half a dozen of the Farm's eggs. Shame no "Personal Touch" was ever evident. As for the patio, so lovely to sit and what the world go by but we never quite managed to relax again after "a stranger" opened the Barn door and said "I thought you was someone else" ........

The cottage was fantastic. Situated in a quiet location with beautiful views, but near enough to get to tourist attractions. The owners were very nice and friendly and around if you needed anything. We had a fabulous week break and we will definitely go back.

The décor and cleanliness of Cooper's Barn was immaculate. It was a perfect country hideaway. The setting was beautiful. Easy distance to the gorgeous beach at Sandsend and the friendly local pub in Aislaby. Looking forward to coming back in the Spring.

This was the best holiday let I have ever stayed at. There is not really one particular thing that makes it stand out, everything was so good. I suppose I would have to say the attention that has been paid to every single detail in the property, making it feel like better than being at home!

This property is the best holiday let we have ever stopped in! The property has great views over the Esk Valley, plenty of parking space and a nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy the views. The property description does not do it justice. It is much larger than first appears in the photographs. Everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The accommodation has been very tastefully fitted out with great attention paid to every little detail. The owner lives on site, but after a warm welcome was not seen again, but we knew she was there if we needed anything. The location of the property means that it is quite centrally situated for walking on the moors, or visiting the coast, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay etc
Mrs Wilkinson
