The first words in the listing for this property should be CAUTION - NO WIFI!. I was traveling for two weeks on business from the US and WIFI is a must! I didn't find out until the nonrefundable payment was made. I had to hot spot through my phone with my data plan. The shower drain in the shower room had dried out from non use and the room stunk of sewer gas. The dishwasher stunk up the whole kitchen until I ran it for a few cycles with detergent that I had to purchase. I also had to purchase laundry detergent. The heat and hot water is supposed to "recharge" at night. I was unable to have a hot shower in the evenings until I figured out how to manually turn on the water heater. Depending on the outside temperature I often had to manually switch on the heat in a few rooms. I had to figure out how to reprogram the TV channels in the living area and never did manage to get the bedroom TV to work. If you are light sensitive be prepared to rise early. The bedrooms could benefit from black-out curtains. There are other mild annoyances like no mirror over the sink in the main bathroom for shaving. On the plus side it is a quiet location with beautiful views and convenient to Stratford. There is a nice Waitrose store a couple of miles away. If the neighbors cat comes begging to the back door it's my fault for spoiling her rotten. :^)

Stunning views and lovely location.. Waking up to the view every morning was a real treat. We have young children and the cottage was perfect for us. The garden was a real plus and everything about the cottage was really comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. Would definitely come again.

The general cleanliness was poor.. I suspect the cleaning is hover and light dust. It needs a in depth clean round the bathroom and kitchen ( the oven door was covered in grease it hant been cleaned in a long time). The kitchen and both bathrooms had dead wood lice on the floor cica 25. I havnt check but I suspect it want used the week before and they had built up over the week one or two did appear during the week we were there which I hovered up. we go too Stratford area twice we use this one and another on the same complex, clearly we will not be going back. It did take the shine off what was a good week . Regards John

Very nice cottage ,very spacious ,very clean , location for us was ideal for local places of interest .. And a very quiet place with views of countryside. The only problem we had was with the hot water for the bath but that was a small problem as it was a lovely place.

The cottage was absolutely lovely and very comfortable.. It was situated just on the outskirts of the Cotswolds and enabled us to do lots of day trips with ease of travelling. We were on our honeymoon and live in Canada. We rented the cottage with your on line site. We found it exactly as it says on the site but much more comfy cosy that expected. Parking was ample and allowed for visitors! Although the cottages were together, there was a sense of privacy with each one. We would totally rent from you again and will recommend to anyone we know the use of a Sykes Cottage!

Overall we were disappointed.. The cottage had many good features and facilities but had a slight air of neglect. There were several small but frustrating shortcomings. The deciding point for us was the absence of the umbrella/parasol to enable us to sit outside, one of the key features we identified when booking the cottage. We noted this was missing on arrival and contacted the number given. Despite a further followup text from us after two days the umbrella never appeared. Unfortunately for us, due to medical conditions, we were unable to sit outdoors; this during the hottest summer in recent years. In fact we left the accommodation and returned home a day early, on 5 July.

This is a lovely cottage all on one level with two bedrooms. It is nicely furnished with outdoor furniture and a lovely view. It has its own parking a little walk away from the entrance. It is about ten minutes drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon which was perfect for eating out and shopping. There are lots of national trust places in the area as well as Blenheim Palace and Warwick Castle. My only negative is the cottage doesn't have WIFI. It doesn't say it does on the advert so no misleading but I must admit I was surprised and a little disappointed as this is usually the norm in this day and age.

We had a very good week at the property which was immaculate, very comfortable.. The location was perfect and good road links made it very easy to get anywhere.
