Mr Hastie
June 2019
Although we were told building work (told roof replacement) was ongoing associated with one side of the property it was actually both sides of the property that were having work done.. The next door dwelling was undergoing a major renovation. Although this was disruptive the work on the other side was even louder on several days. To the point that the neighbour came to apologise. Although we received a discount, us retaining the booking was based on the information that we had been provided by yourselves being correct. Several of the issues were as follows. We were told explicitly that the building work that we knew about would not start until 8, it woke us up between 7-7.15 mon- fri. The scaffold meant the normal tv did not work until 430 on Monday afternoon. The scaffold also meant that the rear door which opens outwards (where the car was parked) could only just open enough to squeeze through. Getting luggage in and out was exceptionally difficult and very frustrating. When retaining the booking I explicitly stated that my acceptance of the discounted offer was that the works would not further affect our stay which it clearly did. We would therefore be most grateful to receive confirmation of appropriate further recompense to compensate us for the above mentioned inconveniences. We look forward to receiving your further comments. Kind regards. Scott
