It was great to go somewhere that was exactly as described.. We and the dogs had a fantastic time. The village was perfectly located for local attractions and we would also recommend the Tollfield kennels in the village.

Comfortable cottage with log burner which added to our evening comfort after days of really wet cold weather.. It was well equipped and covered every need. The position made it easily accessible to all the towns and beaches. We never got to sample the garden, but imagine in warmer weather would be delightful to sit out in.

Fabulous well kept cottage with great facilities that made for a very comfortable stay.. Great place to use as a base for exploring Northumberland as only a few minutes from the A1. We found some amazing local beaches that were so quiet and beautiful with almost white sand and aqua sea, you could almost believe you were on a tropical island! The village of Belford is friendly and welcoming with a co op just up the road and some fabulous pubs which serve great food and welcome dogs. We’d love to visit again next year!

The cottage was really comfortable and in a great location for us - quiet but within walking distance of amenities and only a short drive from Bamburgh beach which was perfect to walk the dogs on every morning.. We had a great holiday and would use Sykes cottages again to book another holiday in the future.

This is a lovely cottage that feels welcoming as soon as you step through the door.. The 'welcome' tray was a nice touch too. There's plenty of clear instructions on how things work plus a washer and microwave that some properties lack. It was all very clean and nicely decorated. One of the nicest cottages we've stayed in.

Just had a few days break up in our ancestral heartland and Clover Cottage proved an excellent base for where we wanted to be and the locations we wanted to explore.. We arrived on a bitterly cold day to be met with a very clean, comfortable and warm cottage. The Cottage is well equipped with what you'd require for your stay. Very nice thought of the owners to provide a nice bottle of wine and some biccies too. The cottage is well situated in Belford, just a short stroll from the main central area. The Co-op is within a very short stroll and is well equipped for anything you could need. The town Chippy is over the road and well worth exploring. The pubs are dog friendly, and we particularly liked the Black Swan where the staff and customers were very welcoming. Belford is well located just off the A1 towards the upper part of Northumberland, and handy for exploring towns like Bamburgh, Alnwick, Wooler, Berwick etc. We even border hopped to visit Kelso one day - a nice drive. We would certainly recommend the Cottage and would consider it for our next visit.
