February 2020
Lovely little cottage, very cosy and close to magnificent beaches.. Mary was very welcoming with a fire roaring as we arrived. The cottage is simply furnished and decorated with all that is needed for a nice stay. Plenty of hot water and lovely wood burning stove. It's a trek to the nearest pub and shop (10 minutes by car) but it's such a great location that's a price worth paying.

The cottage is more than just a holiday home, it is well equipped and has a certain charm to it.. As the weather was a bit miserable we enjoyed having the log burner and it felt cosy. Mary gave us all the necessary tips for the visits and there many to be made from this quiet setting but not so far from the Burren, The cliffs of Moher, ... The only drawback was the quality of the mattress we slept on. It is a metallic grid with fatigued springs protruding, I am of a normal weight, this cannot explain that. My husband and I think it was not up to the standards of the place and the price paid. It did not prevent us for having five marvellous days in Clare Co.

The property owner, Mary, was great.. The scenery around west Clare is stunning; travel around the coast to experience the best of the area.

The only draw back to the location is that there is little or no mobile coverage in the area and next to none in the cottage itself.. Its a lovely cottage, with all the trappings of home from home. Very friendly and helpful owners. The children loved the house and its a 2 minute walk to the beach. To note as well Doonbeg is a good 10 minute drive from the cottage. Overall it was an excellent stay.
