Lovely place, well equipped lovely and clean, bit noisy of a morning due to delivery’s to the shops nearby, wouldn’t put us off staying there again though, the comordor bar and restaurant was nice good food and prices, not many pubs in the village so make sure you take supplies for the apartment, nice prom with cafe bar to stop for coffee and snacks..

Our second visit to Church view.. Brilliant size accomodation, very spacious for groups. Really comfty beds and great location for quirky shops and a walk along the promenade. Kids and parents both had a great break. We will deffinetly be back a third time.

This is an excellent holiday cottage, with plenty of space for a large group, and is well located in the centre of Grange-over-Sands.. Within walking distance there are two supermarkets as well as a variety of local shops and a number of pubs. The food in the Commodore is very good. The South lakes are within an easy drive and the railway station is only 10 minutes walk away.

A delightful home, everything we could have wanted to enjoy our stay.. The whole of our party loved the house, spacious, clean, warm and inviting, nothing about it was cheap from the bedding and towels to the crockery and cutlery couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you.

The windows in the apartment were very poor, it sounded like the windows were open at night , you could hear every car that passed.. We were woken up at 06:30 most mornings by the delivery drivers who made no attempt to keep the noise down.

The house is beautiful, very clean and tastefully furnished.. It's proximity to amenities is excellent however this was also a downside. Deliveries for the local small supermarkets, and the bargain booze the house is located above, started around 6.45am on both Saturday & Sunday . This wasn't a much of an issue for those who slept on the top floor but for the unfortunate ones on the first floor it meant very two very early starts to the day. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need for a holiday. With 10 adults staying it would have been nice to have 3rd shower over the bath possibly. We had a wonderful stay, spending time in both Grange and making the walk over the hill to Cartmel. We will definitely return to the area.

My daughter booked this property. The house was very clean and tidy when we all arrived. The beds were comfortable and has a very good heating system. We could not find any kind of information booklet with regard to using the spa bath, condensing tumble drier, cooker etc, in the end we found the switch for the bath and finally worked out how the drier worked. It is located within easy reach of three small supermarkets, the only downside to this is some members of the family were woken very early when Tescos across the road had a delivery around 6.30am. Also the property sits above a Bargain Booze shop which can be heard mainly when opening the shutters but not too intrusive. I would suggest having a few more large pans in the kitchen. As the house can accommodate ten people, cooking spag bol for this number with just one large pan and two small pans simply is not enough. On the whole all the family enjoyed this property.

Church View is situated in the Center of a traditional shopping street in the seaside town of Grange over Sands.. Easily reached by rail, bus and private car (parking for two on site.) this town is a delight. The house is roomy, light, comfy and has a calming ambience. The jacuzzi bath is a must after a day on Hampsfell and over into Cartmel Village. Holker Hall and gardens are a sheer delight and a day out in itself. A day on Windermere sailing to Ambleside on the steamer is easily doable too. After a good nights sleep, an awakening power shower, we sat around the table having fresh bread and award winning local breakfast produce whilst deciding the delicious evening menu and easily sourcing the local products from the shops across the road. Or tasty fish and chips from the chippy. After a day in the fresh air and a tasty pub lunch we enjoy a delicious meal around the dining table in the well equipped kitchen, after a jacuzzi bath, choosing our next excursion before retiring to the comfy lounge for a few drinks a good few laughs and a chat. A perfect place for a reunion of friends and family, Church View is a well equipped, comfy home . We will return.

This flat is absolutely great for position, plenty of space, big rooms and good facilities. I would make it a regular place to stay in a heartbeat EXCEPT the mattresses were so uncomfortable I hardly got any good sleep/rest. Can't believe nobody has mentioned this previously, 4 adults have all had the same experience on the main bedroom mattress and the doubles too. Ended up using the duvets as toppers to try to make it better. Would love to go back but not until the box spring rock hard mattresses have gone! Please let me know when they're changed! Most important thing for a holiday is to catch up on rest so please change them for decent ones, never slept in any hotel/apartment with such bad ones. Sorry. If you book take a topper with you and it's a great place!!!!

The apartment was spotless and well equipped, and all in our party were totally impressed. It is also very central to all the towns and villages in the area. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in and around Grange-over-Sands and it is such a beautiful place to visit.

We booked a family weekend away for 10 of us and this property was perfect. Wonderful decor, high spec kitchen, whirlpool bath, powerful showers and set over three floors. Great local amenities and only 20mins from Windermere. We all had a brilliant time and our only disappointment was missing out on booking this place for Christmas 2016!

Excellent accommodation in a good location with nice cafes, shops and restaurants locally. Took walks along the promenade. It was a very reasonable price.

We stayed in this rental for a week over the Christmas period. There were 10 of us from the same family with ages ranging from early twenties to mid eighties. Everyone in the party loved the house. The standard of accommodation was very high, everything was spotlessly clean. The house was very nicely furnished and cosy and the log burning stove was great. There were nice touches like the welcome pack with tea coffees, preserves and nice miniature toiletries in bathrooms. The rental is in a good location for exploring the Lake District and surrounding areas. The house was quiet and peaceful but all the town amenities were within a few minutes walk. The owner had decorated the house for Christmas which included 2 trees which was a lovely touch. We had an excellent Christmas despite the rain and would not hesitate to recommend this house.

So we arrived at this cottage on Friday evening, once we entered and viewed all the rooms it seemed as if people had slept in the bed and all the covers in every room has hair all over the pillows, as if the bed covers were not changed. Second a number of flies and bees in the kitchen cabinet, the bathrooms had towels chucked in the bathtubs and on the floors, toilet was disgusting and to finish it off the wifi was absolutely rubbish. At first it seemed as if we had been double booked but came to a realisation that the cottage hadn't been cleaned. We drove 4 hours to get to Cumbria to come to this mess, which was appalling ruined our entire weekend. I would tell anyone thinking to go here to avoid at all cost. And a note to the owner you can't state your a 5* cottage and provide such appalling service.

Excellent standard accommodation and lots of living space for a large party, which we were. It was a great base to access lots of different parts of the Lake District.
