Stayed here for 3 nights. Very clean and has everything you need for your stay. Fabulous fragrance from the bedding when I opened the bedroom door. Very light and airy and bigger inside than the pics showed. Very nice surprise to see we had been left a welcome pack! Really lovely touch as didn’t expect it. Loved watching the fantastic steam train go past every day.

A perfectly located house with excellent facilities. Did not need to use the car for the whole of our weeks stay, travelled on foot or by public transport. The local bus services are second to none and if you use the mainline train service (from Keighley) you will be impressed. The KWVR preserved railway is a joy to use and runs along the back of the house, affording plenty of opportunities to wave at passing trains from your window. My only warning to potential renters of this property is be aware of the steep roads, both in the town and in the surrounding countryside - not for those who find hills a challenge.

Recently returned from a 4 night stay at Chuffing Cottage in Haworth, booked through Sykes Cottages Lovely location, lovely modern cottage, very tastefully decorated and has all that you need for your stay: you could go out to eat or choose to stay in and cook as it has everything you need Space for 2 cars, keysafe access, electric car charging facility. Outdoor table and chairs at the front terrace, chairs at the rear overlooking railway, lovely sun trap to sit out and watch steam train go by Light and bright, 2 storey cottage. Double bedroom downstairs, king size upstairs. Toilet downstairs, main bathroom upstairs with shower over bath. Fully equipped kitchen, inc washer/dryer and dishwasher. Bed linen, plenty of towels, tea towels provided Free wi-fi and Netflix available Surprise welcome pack on arrival, not expected but a lovely gesture and very welcomed on our arrival Very peaceful location, trickling stream at the back along with the steam railway, ran 4 times a day but not intrusive, lovely to watch and hear go by and the train drivers wave as they go by: looked forward to it daily Good location, Co-op few minutes walk away and adequate for what you need, Spar bit further down the same road, as well as a variety of takeaways. Railway station on the same road and all in walking distance. Haworth also in walking distance, definitely worth a visit for individual shops, pubs and eateries: lovely meal at The Fleece Inn. Visited the Brontë Parsonage, worth a visit, if you have a Blue Light card, take it as you get a discount, tickets valid for a year: steep walk up to Haworth so bear that in mind if you have mobility difficulties Felt safe during our stay and the neighbours were lovely Only downside for us was our stay was too short and you can’t check in until 5pm and have to check out by 9am, but I appreciate time is needed for cleaning ready for next occupants: and the cleanliness could not be faulted, cottage still smelt brand new and fresh We would definitely choose this cottage again when visiting Brontë country

Stayed here for a few days pre-Christmas. Lovely modern cottage - with direct views of the KWV steam railway. The children (and I) loved seeing the trains ‘chuffing’ by several times a day - all decorated for Christmas. Very clean cottage - beautifully decorated and with everything you need for a great stay. Very comfortable open plan living, dining, kitchen area. Two spacious bedrooms. Very nice welcome pack. All you need for a lovely stay - inc washer, kitchen accessories etc. Small outdoor seating area which we didn’t use because it was mid winter. Very warm inside and great heating system. Plenty of hot water etc. Haworth Main Street is a 10 min walk (uphill of course if you know the area it’s a very hilly place). Large Co-op (size of a small supermarket) - 5 minute walk. Recommendations: Dayout - The Elf Express - amazing, magical day out on the Christmas inspired steam train - great for kids and adults alike. Visits - The Bronte Parsonage museum - beautiful small museum in the childhood home of the Bronte family. Amazing artefacts, lovely staff and a serene atmosphere. Also very inexpensive. Eat - The Cobbles and Clay cafe on the Main Street. Great food - someone for everyone! Chicken wrap Is top notch! Eat - Betty’s Ilkley - famous for a reason. Long queue but lovely meal and nice staff. Booked the cottage through Sykes Cottages. Love Haworth - loved Chuffing Cottage - will be back!

Just returned from this lovely cottage. Perfect in every way, comfortable, spotless and well equipped. Loved the little treats left by the owner for us. Ideally situated in Haworth for visiting the surrounded area and it was right next to the Steam Train Railway. We will definitely be returning back here next year.

We had not realised that this property is on a very busy building site.. If you are looking for peace and tranquility you will be very disappointed! The property is light, bright and airy but very overlooked. We were disappointed that although the property is advertised as having Netflix and Freeview we were only able to get it one evening out of seven. Despite these things we did enjoy our holiday as there are plenty of things to do and places to go - Howarth itself is somewhat disappointing but you don't have to go far to find better.

Chuffing Cottage is a little gem.. It is modern living in a very comfortable environment. It is very bright & clean and has all the facilities one may need. The owner provides a generous 'welcome package' which is much appreciated. The cottage is ideally situated for visiting many interesting places in 'Bronte Country' and for taking a nostalgic trip on a preserved steam railway where, incidentally, the original film of the Railway Children was made. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Chuffing Cottage and will certainly visit again.
