The satnav postcode sent us to a local farm, so please make sure you get accurate instructions when you get close to the cottage..

Brilliant cottage in a stunning location, so peaceful and quiet.. Facilities were great, kitchen extremely well stocked. We were left cake and coffee by the owner a very nice touch. Living room was lovely and the 3bedrooms were a good size. Bathroom was also lovely I would highly recommend.

Chestnut Cottage is in a beautiful location, surrounded by fields, hills and woods.. The Cottage is part of an old dairy. Mrs Williams is an excellent host who keeps the cottage very clean and extremely well equipped. In fact, we couldn’t think of anything we needed other than warmer weather, but it was November! We would certainly recommend this cottage and the area.

In a beautiful and quiet setting, the cottage was every bit as lovely as the pictures and extremely comfortable and well equipped.. An ideal place to stay in any weather as the cottage has plenty of DVD’s and games etc and there is plenty of outside space too. Excellent places to visit are Devil’s Bridge and Bwlch Nant yr Arian, and we would highly recommend The Lord Beechings pub as a great place a to eat. Mrs Williams is a lovely lady and most helpful and we would definitely stay here again.

Cottage is fine and good value and not over priced, absolutely no complaints.. To add a little more luxury, there is already plenty of luxury present perhaps some more low level lighting (table or floor lamp) in the lounge and a heating facility in the kitchen. But this is being picky and just suggestions - it was all we three needed and expected. Owner and family were most welcoming. Good location - watch your sat nav though - as in do not try to enter through a farmyard - you will end up at the wrong end of the estate by a padlocked gate! Very good most enjoyable

An extremely well appointed and well presented cottage in a quiet location.. Equally suited to use by a family or a couple of whatever age although, due to it's location, a car is a must for getting about. There are some walks in the woods near by and within the estate. The cottage is well equipped with games etc for any rainy days and is centrally heated for chilly nights. Children will enjoy the little child sized summer house in the small enclosed garden and there is an outdoor dining area just by the back door and ample car parking space right outside the front of the cottage.

We were truly happy that the cottage was so comfortable and luxurious, for two reasons.. Firstly, because it was a pleasure to stay somewhere that is so special and, secondly, thanks to Storms Helene, Ali and Bronagh, nobody minded coming back early! Mrs. Williams is the perfect hostess, friendly, helpful and welcoming without being intrusive. The same is true of the rest of the family that we met. Some unexpected delights included the generous welcome tray, the Tassimo with a good supply of pods and the extremely well equipped kitchen. The whole cottage is tastefully furnished and decorated (can't say it's a home from home because it's better!). Would definitely stay here again if we return to this area.

Extremely well renovated cottage in a quiet and secluded area.. Very surprised by size of property and quality of furniture . Large well appointed kitchen with everything needed to host a quality dinner party . Everything in this property impressed us . BBQ area and garden overlooking horses grazing with seating and gazebo were excellent. Free WiFi better than most hotels. Also numerous sky tv channels for those rainy days and a cupboard full of games to enjoy. Unconditionally recommended by us.

Please change the mail with directions to the cottage.. They are not clear, at least 5 people wrote so in the visitors book. If you use a navigator there is a high chance that you arrive from a different direction and you need to call the owner in a place where there is almost no phone reception.

This was a lovely holiday cottage, couldn't fault it,equipped to a very high standard.. The only negative was it was a little difficult to find, the directions need to be more detailed, but other than that, perfect.

We stayed one night for our wedding anniversary, we were pleasantly surprised but the size of the cottage and having the whole place to ourselves. The quality of the finish and soft furnishings were excellent. It felt very homely and the little anniversary card and present was a lovely little touch. We will be back if visiting the area again. Thanks you

We rented the Chestnut cottage for a week and we could not have asked for more. Located in a quiet setting, it was the perfect place to call home while exploring south west Wales. Clean with everything we could possibly need, I would recommend it to anyone visiting the region. The very friendly owner even left us food when we let her know we would be arriving late!

Well, what a lovely cottage the Chestnut cottage is! We loved the living area, so spacious, the table seated six with plenty of room. Our 14 month old enjoyed playing hide and seek in the house there were plenty of places to hide and room for him to explore! We absolutely loved the little playhouse in the 'children's garden' outside. So so adorable and plenty for children to do in there. Also lots of thought gone into providing games/DVDs/Books for all ages. Area was also lovely, horses in the field behind the house, at the end of the drive, turn right and over the bridge there is a river with walks. Further afield Aberystwyth is lovely for castle ruins on the sea front, Hafod Estate is an absolute must for those who enjoy walking, forests, waterfalls and generally beautiful scenery (Even in the rain I might add, since it rained every day we were there)! Devils Bridge was nice also but do note that there are also lovely waterfalls at Hafod Estate which you can access for free/£2 for map. This cottage was such a homely place to return to each day.

Our second stay at Chestnut Cottage and it is perfect; so clean and comfortable. Everything is top quality from the bed linen to the furniture. It was a home from home and better than any 5 star hotel. It is set in a beautiful part of the world with stunning scenery and lots to do within a short drive (car essential). We look forward to going back again for a third time.

We had a fantastic time with our three young children, ages 4, 3 and 10 weeks. We enjoyed our stay immensely and the children in particular had a wonderful time and fell in love with the Wendy House. The setting, a coverted dairy, in beautiful countryside was outstanding as was the short trip to places of interest locally.

Very friendly hosts, a beautiful restored and furnished house, every little detail of high quality. Situated near an ancient manor house in the middle of old forests with extraordinary trees. Great for taking walks, sitting at a lawn with horses enjoying nature. About 5 miles away from Aberysthwyth, a lovely town.
