Enjoyed our few days spent at Cheshire Cheese Cottage. Cottage well equipped and comfortable. Was lovely to sit in the hot tub after a day out and watch the sunset behind the trees in the garden. Had a lovely relaxing few days. The only improvement I can suggest is that the outdoor wooden table and chairs are well past their best and the table is warped. We had luckily brought our own fold out chairs so used them. Perfectly placed for some love days out would recommend.

Myself and my boyfriend enjoyed a couple nights away at this lovely cottage. The cottage itself was very welcoming, spotlessly clean and clearly well maintained. We had issues with the WiFi during our stay but I’m sure this was just a one off and couldn’t be helped. The fish & chip shop in the neighbouring village is a must, or a little further away Chester is great for a spot of shopping/lunch. The best feature was definitely the hot tub. All in all an enjoyable stay.

We had a really lovely stay at the Cheshire Cheese cottage.. Ian was a fabulous host, giving us our privacy while always ensuring we knew he was there to answer any queries. The cottage was in a wonderful location - all in all, a very peaceful, enjoyable stay - we're already looking forward to booking again.

Excellent little cottage with everything you could want for time away. Ian is a fantastic host, very helpful without being intrusive. This cottage is great whether you're looking for a relaxing holiday or a base for lots of days out around Chester/Liverpool or further afield to Wales. The hot tub and log burner also give that extra touch of luxury. The pictures really don't do this cottage enough justice. We will deffinitly be looking to stay again next year.

The cottage is absolutely perfect.. Lovely size, has everything you could need for a short stay. Couldn't have asked for a better 5 days. Have already recommended the accommodation to friends looking for similar breaks (We only arrived home yesterday). The surrounding area has everything you need, and there are delicious food options in should you decide to venture out. Absolutely fantastic.

Large kitchen diner, plenty of space for self catering.. The Cottage was easy to find, as described and the hot tub as a nice feature for relaxing after a long walk. We did get a couple of people knocking on the door obviously looking for the owners house, which is behind the cottage, other than that, extremely peaceful. The WiFi was sufficiently good to watch some films which was a pleasant surprise.

Had a wonderful week at the cottage.. Luckily had 6 uninterrupted days of really hot weather and was able to sit out in the garden catching up on some reading. Enjoyed having a glass of Prosecco in the Hot Tub each evening - so peaceful & relaxing. The surrounding countryside is very lush and beautiful and in the field opposite the cottage you can enjoy the company of Ian & Sue’s friendly cows. They currently have 2 cute baby calves and for bunny lovers like me you’ll see them hopping around in the early evening. Ian is a perfect host, very helpful but discreetly unobtrusive. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a home away from home. I’m already booked in again for July! - Jeannie Alsager

It was a beautiful cottage, very well equipped in a stunning location with beautiful views.. The hot tub was a bonus. The owner was very helpful, just next door, but was unintrusive. It was one of the best cottages I have every stayed in. Had great eating places near by, and well located to explore Cheshire. Very clean and comfortable, excellent all round.

Lovely cosy little cottage, Ian was very helpful and on hand when needed.. This cottage was close enough to explore Chester, but in a quiet location for us to relax and have a well needed break. (the hot tub was a bonus) Fantastic eating places just down the road, and the facilities to cook so you didn't even have to leave the cottage if you didn't want. Would 100% recommend and will be booking again in the new year. Thanks Ian!

Overall we loved staying at the Cheshire Cheese Cottage, i was abit wary booking a hotel as we have a 10 week old baby but this it was perfect for the three of us.. The location was lovely and we managed to do a lovely walk in the countryside and also wasn't at from Chester to do some shopping. The cottage itself was so comfortable and clean and the owners were lovely and just next door if we needed them.....all round we was very happy and would definitely be booking again in the future.

All round this cottage is lovely. It's very cosy, comfortable and has everything you need. The owners live just next door but is still private enough to feel like your the only people up there and are alway happy to help if you need them. Cleanliness is number one for me and I take my dettol everywhere we go but the cottage was spotless so it was nice that I didn't have clean before relaxing. We normally book hotels but since we had a 10 week old baby, I thought a cottage would suite us better and I'm glad I found this little treasure. The cottage is set in the countryside with lots of lovely walks and a village just down the road that has everything u need from pubs, takeaways and shops. And then further afield is the gorgeous city of Chester and If you like a of shopping, there lots of lovely boutiques and also Cheshire oaks outlet village also not far. If you want good food with lovely views and walks and definitely recommend The Pheasant Inn, Higher Burwardsley which is just up the road from the cottage. We will definitely be booking again in the future, thank you for a lovely stay
