Situated in a delightful setting, Cherry Tree Cottage is an elegant retreat in a wonderful part of England.

Three bedrooms: 1 x king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request), 1 x double, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with living flame gas fire.

Area
Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within close distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

It is a lovely, well presented, cosy cottage with all that is needed for a holiday stay.. It is just off Skipton High Street but it is so quiet you could easily forget you are in the centre of a thriving market town. An excellent base for visiting the Yorkshire Dales.

The weekend away was great.. Cottage lovely, nice decor and spotless. Everything we needed. Great spot for exploring Skipton. Quiet area but soon in town high street or walks on doorstep.

Lovely cottage in a great location for the town and trips around the Dales.. It's in a really quiet position with parking available right outside. Everything provided for our stay, heating hot water, TV and wifi all worked fine. Looking forward to returning to the Dales and staying at the cottage.

Excellent and comfortable cottage in centre of town, with parking space, close to shops and many places to eat and have a relaxing drink.. Skipton Castle and the canal are close by with a pleasant canal side walk taking you to Aireville Park and the leisure centre. We would highly recommend Cherry Tree Cottage as a base to explore this lovely part of Yorkshire.

Stairs are a little steep and narrow (especially at the bottom) for older people.. Central location is excellent, yet still quiet. Skipton is a lovely place with good markets, shops and restaurants. A great place to be based when visiting the dales.

Great Cottage, ideally situated and well equipped.. We were able to sample a local restaurant, walked around skipton woods and saw the local railway including stopping for a coffee at the cavendish arms, well worth the walk. Cottage warm and cozy, great to have a parking space and easy to walk out the door and be on the high street with shops so local.

The cottage is lovely, furnished very well, all kitchen equipment you could require.. Beds beautifully comfortable, no trouble sleeping in those. All that & only two minute walk through the alley and directly into the High street, a definite advantage. The town very well served with major supermarkets only a 10 minute walk around the corner. Words cannot express the beauty of the Dales. THE COTTAGE. The Hot water boiler was broken on arrival (water when running from taps kept going cold, however owner & caretaker done all they could to rectify). This was still not as good as it should be when we left. Television reception abysmal not possible to watch. This was a disappointment as after a very long day hiking all that is required is a hot bath/shower & relax in front of the TV. We believe an aerial booster would rectify this problem. If the above were addressed we shall have no hesitation in booking this cottage over & over again.

Extremely comfortable, well presented & thoughtfully equipped including good local reference material.. A minor glitch with CH was sorted efficiently and most importantly cheerfully by caretaking staff.
