The bonus was the constant heating as it was a very cold weekend and was a large house.. Excellent facilities

Chapel House is the ideal place to host large family gatherings.. We've just spent a fantastic Christmas in the house. There was ample space for the 10 of us, and the facilities were excellent.

Our second visit to Chapel House which is an ideal gathering place for larger groups.. The house is very well equipped and spacious with easy parking, two areas for wet coats and boots (it rained a lot, being Yorkshire in September/October) and good social areas. The bistro in the village is lovely and very friendly and there are local walks plus East Riddlesden Hall, Skipton with its castle and canal rides and Hawarth with the Bronte connection. Really one of the best houses we have booked and excellent value.

Such a beautiful house and location.. We had a lovely weekend and very much enjoyed your peace and tranquility. The facilities were great and there was plenty of room for us all. Such a very well equipped kitchen and a lovely welcome pack. We were of course blessed with the most sublime weather which really helped! Thank you for all the little extras.

We had a fantastic stay here and highly recommend it to those travelling as a larger group.. The little extras such as provision of sugar, cooking oil and dishwasher tablets were much appreciated!! Great location which is only a short drive from Skipton.

Such a lovely place to stay. We had 4 generations of our family stopping here and it suited all. Best of all the park right next to the cottage was used a lot! Facilities were good and plenty of seating for everyone. The only thing we couldn't find was a decent bread knife but that's being picky x

We had a great holiday and the location and house were excellent.. We had a slight problem with the boiler malfunctioning but the owners Jane and Peter Shaw were really helpful in trying to sort things out as soon as possible and provided alternative heating. We would definitely consider a return visit if we are heading that way again.

Really great time once again.. 9 adults in a home-from-home setting, ample space and the lovely, long table lends itself to communal cooking and eating. Brilliant!

We booked Chapel House for a Christmas break with four generations under one roof.. We were surprised to find the house decorated for Christmas and even a Christmas tree. It felt homely as soon as we walked in. There was plenty of space and plenty of crockery etc for 8 adults and 3 children. The only negative was the hot water which was sometimes non existent int the main bathroom. However this did not spoil our fantastic week.

Delightful house which suited our group of adults.. Quiet position yet within easy reach of Cowling with its chippy, small shop, very good bistro/restaurant and pub. Walks from the door with lots of room for muddy boots and wet coats, well heated and with a tumble drier - we liked it. Plenty of space. We can also recommend East Riddleston Hall on the outskirts of Keighley (NT) when open. Advice for finding Carr Lane - follow the sign for the school, the name is not readily visible from the road main road.

Adjacent playground was well used and enjoyed by the grandkids..

We had a lovely weekend in Chapel House.. The house was clean, and the dining table and kitchen were a great size for all of us to be together. All of the guests were happy with the accommodation and it was perfect for what we wanted to do - relax, go out for walks and play garden games.

This cottage was ideal for all the family to get together.. Enough room to spread out and just a walk to the shop and pub. Central to the Yorkshire Dales where we all had good days out. Plenty for young and old. The cottage had everything you needed to make the holiday.

Eleven of us including three generations stayed for half term week and we had a superb time, but then the weather was fantastic. The slightly quirky house is recently renovated to a high standard and good taste, and is well equipped including two large fridges. There is plenty of parking, a tidy garden, and an added bonus is the play park right outside the back door! A couple of downsides are the lack of food storage space in the kitchen, and the lack of curtains in the downstairs bedroom, not so good for summer nights. Nevertheless, still worth five stars.

The house is beautifully done out and we were very comfortable.. The welcome pack and the combustibles were an added bonus and I like that the rent includes gas and power. The children’s playground right outside the back door is great for small children and was used daily. There were one or two minor shortcomings. There is a lack of space to store food for so many people, other than the extensive fridges. The downstairs bedroom has no curtains, not too good for children on light summer nights. Other cottages where we have stayed have had a complete range of flyers for local attractions, at Chapel House there were only a few old ones, mostly from 2017, not much use for train timetables and menus! They didn’t begin to cover the many attractions within 20 miles. They are available from Tourist Information points, but it is nice to peruse them all in the accommodation to plan the holiday. A few children’s jigsaws and games would have been good, these can be picked up in charity shops very cheaply. I hope these comments are seen as constructive, we had an excellent week in very comfortable accommodation.

The cottage was perfect for our family get together.. My elderly Dad had a room and bathroom downstairs which was ideal. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Location was good for touring around and there were some good walks you could do directly from the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay - thank you.

House was clean had everything you needed from logs for fire to a great kitchen with lots of China, pans and lovely large cooker. What a lovely house. Deceptively large on the inside and extremely well equipped this property made the ideal venue for our group of eleven to meet up and enjoy a weekend away. The beds were very comfortable, nice bed linen and fluffy towels. We had a couple of issues with the showers water temperature/pressure but with 2 en-suit and a main bathroom we managed. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and other than the smoke detector going of with the slightest with of toast I couldn't fault anything. Location wise it is ideally positioned for the sales and the many attractions in the area, we spent an enjoyable day in Saltaire. Plenty of parking on the properties drive (we had 6 cars!) If weather had been better we would have used the BBQ and decking area.

I particularly liked the attention to detail [ie dish washer tablets].. The cottage was very easy to find with directions supplied by owner, ample parking, we had 6 cars. In all we were very comfortable and i would definately consider booking this cottage again.

Very comfortable and extremely clean and well cared for.. The owners had been very thoughtful and considerate.all appliances and facilities for a family holiday. Well situated for travel to many locations and we were very lucky in the weather only hitch was in the showers ,only one worked really, and it was a bit of a stretch for a party of our number.
