Castlerigg in Keswick is a superb, modern maisonette apartment, in the centre of Keswick, surrounded by shops, boutiques, pubs and attractions. The apartment sleeps 4 adults, with one double bedroom, and one master double bedroom with a single day bed. The open plan, bright lounge/diner/kitchen has a television and a dining table, and the kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, a washer/dryer, a fridge and freezer, and a microwave. The maisonette is within easy reach of Keswick’s attractions, including the Pencil Museum, Fitz Park, the Puzzling Place, Skiddaw mountain and Derwentwater. Castlerigg is the perfect base for a family to explore Keswick and the surrounding areas of the central Lake District, even without their own transport.

Accomodation Details
Two bedrooms: 1 x first floor double room and a further second floor, 1 x master double room with single day bed, which could be used as a twin, with TV and DVD player. Ground floor bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. Lounge/diner/kitchen with television.

Area
Keswick is a year round destination with a wide variety of attractions on offer including, lake cruises on Derwentwater, live performances at the Theatre by the Lake, fine fell walking, lively street markets and an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. Hope Park is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit at any time of year it is only a five minute walk from the apartment, here you could enjoy a round of golf or keep the children entertained with a game of crazy golf. Also nearby you will find the River Greta and Fitz Park with tennis courts, pitch and put golf or just simply stroll along side the river. For the more energetic visit Whinlatter Forest Park which has a fantastic mountain biking trail and also hosts the tree top adventure Go Ape.

Everything went fine, the apartment was as advertised, and it was very handy being in the centre of town.. There was very little noise.

2nd time we've stayed in Castlerigg and we weren't disappointed. Very cosy and easy to access. Slight noise from street at night on weekend but nothing bad. We like to be close to pubs etc so couldn't ask for better. Would definitely return.

Very nice and clean apartment.. It was also very convenient to be in central Keswick within easy walking distance of the shops and cafes - but of course the flip side of that is it was quite noisy in the evenings at the weekend with live music from the nearby pubs until late (mid-night) and then the noise of people leaving the pubs. Overall had very nice stay

Lovely little apartment, perfectly situated in the heart of a great town.. Clean, well presented and though could sleep more is ideal for 4. 2 minutes from the main square. Parking is covered by a pass at one of the local car parks. Enough locally to do to not need to move it. Or use the public transport do the hard work..

The apartment is very conveniently positioned in the centre of Keswick, and exceeded our expections.. Thank you for providing a parking permit, however exact parking instructions would have been useful before arriving.

Very conveniently situated, and quiet despite being above a well-used throughfare - and the parking permit was a bonus.. Not a complaint, and it wouldn't stop us recommending it to anyone else, but a cafetiere and corkscrew would have been appreciated.

Property is excellent, well placed and nicely kept.. Electric oven is dated and a bit odd, needs a document to convert its labelling to degrees celsius, never seen that before. Hot water runs out quickly if fully occupied. Staff from the nearby pubs tend to sit on the stairway smoking though, so you have to ask them to move to let you past and then you have to pass through their stench, not so nice Those are minor grumbles, but worth noting nonetheless. Otherwise a great place to stay.

A great apartment centrally located to Keswick with an abundance of bars and restaurants and located close to The lake.. Only niggle was no cleaning material supplied for washing up.

It was great to have more than a b&b.. Only thing was i ciuldnt find the hairdryer. Luckily for us we had wonderful weather. Will dinirely revisit

Superb apartment very spacious and very well equipped with excellent quality fixtures and fittings. Great location just off the main square close to all amenities, although close to pubs it was very quiet even with the windows open at night. Master bedroom is huge with plenty of storage space. Great place and I would highly recommended this great place and look forward to coming back.

The apartment was lovely and clean and had everything we needed, and was very comfortable indeed, it is in a small shopping centre and by a pub but there was no noise to disturb us, all the shops and restaurants at hand no need to use the car, having the car park pass was great there was no need to worry about paying parking fees and clock watching in case your ticket ran out. We would recommend that when you arrive for your stay, and have collected the keys, park in the short stay car park Bell Close Brewery Lane as it is defiantly a lot easier and a lot shorter to carry your luggage to the accommodation, then after park in the long stay using the car park pass, it took us quite a time to work this out, as we did not know the area
