Casa Dell'Architetto

The house first appeared dark and a bit worn but turned out to be a very authentic gem in the winding old town of Dervio, with balconies, roof terrace and lots of vintage Italian books. The kitchen is fully equipped (with toaster and Bialettis). No garden, only a small courtyard. Shops, cafés, supermarkets, and the lake are within walking distance. Minor issues with water, alarm, and electricity were quickly solved. Public parking costs ~€30/week via EasyPark. Enjoyed our stay - recommended!

The location offered a truly Italian feel, nestled between the mountains and Lake Como. Better Wi-Fi and a full-fledged coffee machine would have been welcome.

The house is very big, even too big for just 4 people. That's why we didn't use the room in the attic. The house was also very clean. We just had to leave the windows open on the ground floor because the air was very stagnant and the verandas were sweeping. The kitchen is old but functional, except for the oven. It doesn't reach the temperature to bake cakes. The bathrooms are super good and the shower works very well. Parking is very easy to find nearby.
