Nestled in the historic county of Fife lies Auchtermuchty, a memorable village known locally as Muchty. Auchtermuchty boasts a wealth of history and culture, dating back as far as Roman times, where evidence of human habitation was found in the southwest corner of the village. Stratheden Whisky Distillery was present from 1829 to1926 where Alexander Bonthrone, the owner worked for six decades, making him one of the world's oldest distillers. Now, the village is a cyclists and walkers haven, with many recreational footpaths and routes to choose from, as well as an array of amenities for your needs.
