Very spacious yet cosy cottage! We rented this cottage for the duration of our stay at Sledmere where we got married at Sledmere House. This was the bridal cottage with the bride and 2 bridesmaids - we each had own our en-suite which was very useful. A face to face check in would have been appreciated as we weren't able to turn the heating down to a comfortable temperature, it was a little too toasty for our liking. There were also little things like the door locks had a knack to unlocking - this would have been useful to know.
I would highly recommend staying here, the host was very accommodating and was a HUGE help when she allowed us to stay beyond check out time due to one of our cars breaking down meaning it took a few hours to get our bridesmaids and groomsmen home. The complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits were very much appreciated :) Thank you!
Lovely comfortable cottage in lovely area.. Location was ideal for coast line and visiting various places in the area. Cottage was ideal when returning from trips out during the day. Enjoyed nice relaxing evenings.
We enjoyed everything
Had a lovely break in a lovely cottage
The cottage was lovely BUT the listing was very inaccurate.. 1. The picture was of two cottages not just the one we rented- not stipulated in the blurb. 2 the picture also made it look like it was up and away from the road- where as it was very much on the road- misleading. 3. No garden to speak of- which with a dog meant finding places to take her to do her business- also not in the blurb!
The cottage was lovely and well maintained, clean and a good base, however it is unlikely we would return to it for the above reasons.
A lovely cottage in a delightful village.. True Home from Home all things had been thought about. So many places to visit just a short drive away.
A nice fully equipped cottage.. We only had I major complaint during our stay, the trees at the rear seating dropped their seeds which found their way into the house and made it necessary to clean sometimes twice a day. I guess we were unlucky to have this cottage at this time. Another problem was the road noise especially motor bike groups can be quite loud but as we live near a main road this was not a problem to us.
It may seem that we didn’t like this cottage but this was certainly not the case and would recommend it if you cope with the above remarks.
The cottage was comfortable although sofas saggy road noise can be heard
Lovely modern house, clean, lovely view out to the back of the house, saw lambs being born.. Lovely quiet roads, can get to the coast in 25 mins.Tesco & Lidl in Driffield,10 mins away.
Lovely place, would recommend to family and friends
A fantastic cottage, extremely clean and comfortable, had everything we wanted, will recommend a stay to anyone looking for holiday cottage..
Cottage was on a road that was noisy at times..
