August 2018
Great hosts very welcoming and sorted out minor issues quickly.. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable reclining sofas and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. The cottage and area are very pretty, though hidden in the mist for much of our visit. We enjoyed Zipworld, the National White Water Rafting Centre and the Roman Steps walk.

It was one of the best holidays I have ever had.. The cottage was lovely equipped with everything you could have wanted. The surroundings were spectacular with plenty of places to visit. The only downside was that I didn’t see my 2 daughters for 2 weeks ,but thanks to the WiFi we could FaceTime them

We particularly liked the location of cottage, a beautiful setting, which was peaceful but within easy reach of local amenities. Stunning views and easy walks from cottage. Good base for visiting tourist attractions in Snowdonia National Park. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

May 2016
It's a truly lovely house that has everything you need for a perfect holiday. For us the most important aspect is that it is dog friendly, and there are numerous walks straight from the front door, and the fabulous beaches at Dyffryn and Harlech are only minutes away by car, which meant that we hardly used our car at all. The owners are delightful hosts and nothing is too much bother for them. We have stayed in many cottages in France and the UK and this one certainly comes out in the top three. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we're thinking of booking for next year to make sure we get the week we want!
Mrs Jenkins
September 2015
The setting of two cottages back to back was ideal for us as we were with friends and both of us had a dog. The scenery was beautiful and the owners couldn't have been more helpful.
Ms Howard
August 2015
A really nice farm house. There were lovely views and it was a great base for walking and visiting beaches. It was nice and comfortable, and the owners are lovely and friendly but don't invade your space.

March 2015
The property is beautifully located and we particularly liked the updates on the lambing and seeing the new lambs. We know the area very well so not short on things to do and this is an excellent base, although would also have been happy to stay put and relax for the week! We hope to be back again next year.
Mr Moore
October 2014
Its remote location on top of highland, in front of a mountain in the middle of sheep country was appealing. The enclosed fenced garden was great as children and dogs could be let out to play safely. The sunsets were spectacular looking out over the Irish Sea. The owner's were very pleasant and helpful and the Wifi worked well. I would go again to the same place.
Mr Venfield
October 2014
The house was in such a peaceful location, but not too far from the main road. The house was well equipped and the owners were such nice people. We could not fault our stay in any way.
Mr Driver
September 2014
Quiet location, great enclosed garden for dogs, it had everything we needed. In a good location for great beaches. The Cottage was very well equipped, traditional rather than cutting edge. Very clean and comfortable.

July 2014

An ideal area to walk the dog; peaceful and quiet but still had beaches a drive away. The cottage was lovely and the owners were very welcoming, would love to go again next year.

March 2014
We like the peace and quiet of the area, seeing the new lambs and wildlife. The owners are very friendly..
Mrs Jones
March 2014
The owners were very nice and welcomed us. The cottage was of a high standard and a home away from home. The area was out of this world and a lot to see and do for the time of the year. We are going to book the same cottage again as my son loved, as there's plenty of room to run wild.
January 2014
Caerffynnon cottage is excellent in every aspect.Quiet remote but very easily accessed. It is a peaceful holiday in superb countryside and only a short distance from beautiful miles of sandy beach. The owners are on hand for advice but do not interfere with your vacation. Wonderful walks from right outside the door with breathtaking views all around. Lovely local Cafes in Dyffryn and Harlech and great trips to Portmadog and lake Bala. Cottage is clean and very well equipped, the best we have been in. Highly recommended
Mrs Hartley
October 2013
We enjoyed the whole holiday. The cottage was the very best we have stayed in, the surroundings were wonderful yet remote, the owners could not have done more for us, so friendly yet they did not disturb you. Altogether we had the best holiday, and the very best cottage, you could not want for more.
Mr Williams
September 2013

August 2013
I enjoyed many of aspects of our holiday. The accommodation, housekeeping, hospitality and customer service was excellent, as well as the attention to detail, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We all had a fantastic family holiday.
August 2013
The entire experience of our holiday was wonderful the service from Sykes staff was first class and booking was a breeze the cottage was a home from home and we were made extremely welcome by the owners with a welcoming gift of home made cake tea coffee sugar. And milk all there for us to use. Such a quiet location at the end of a private lane no passing traffic no road noise just the farmers sheep for company most of the time the facilities were excellent all cutlery pots and pans provided and clean bedding etc the only slight problem was no mobile phone signals but this was offset by the provision of free yes free WI FI all in all a truly enjoyable first time Sykes experience many thanks to all involved in making our holiday worth while
Mrs Bradford Gibson
July 2013
The owners were wonderful, very welcoming and could not do enough for us. The cottage was in a very quiet area, and was very private, enabling a wonderful holiday, thank you.
Mrs Birtles
July 2013
The location was ideal, between Harlech/Barmouth and a quick drive to a beautiful beach. Wifi was a good bonus in an area with limited mobile connections. There was a proper cot for my son, not a travel cot and there were plenty of sheep to keep him happy too. A well appointed, lovely cottage that I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
July 2013
This was our second visit. This cottage is in a beautiful quiet location set in tranquil setting. The cottage has all it needs or should have. Comfortable well equupped. Mr & Mrs Jones made us very welcome and were very helpful. We hope to come again.
July 2013
We stayed here as a base for exploring the castles of North Wales. It was a bit of a last minute booking, but everything was sorted very quickly. The cottage was in a fabulous location surrounded by hills and sheep and was very comfortable and clean. We were made very welcome by the owners, with Mrs Jones baking us an absolutely delicious cake! Caerfynnon is a bit off the beaten track, but it was very accessible to the main road by car. The sandy beach was only about 10 minutes away with Dyffryn ardudwy about 1.5 miles down the road. There seemed to be lots of things to do and places to visit in the area - we were concentrating on castles so didn't have the opportunity to explore fully. It was so peaceful, with just the sounds of the sheep and birds to keep us company. Sadly the internet access failed, but Mr Jones was very apologetic and kept us up to date with progress, in the end we were so busy enjoying the glorious sunshine in the garden we didn't need it. The cottage proved an ideal choice for our stay and we are all hoping to visit again.
Mr Carter
May 2013

May 2013
The property was above our expectations in all aspects of accommodation and furnishing. The owners were most welcoming and we wanted for nothing to make it a home-from-home. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Many thanks to Sykes and the owners for a wonderful holiday.
Mrs Wissen
March 2013
Property is located at the end of a very quiet lane, no passing traffic with beautiful views. Comfortable, clean and warm...even in the snow!
Mr Donovan
November 2012
The owners were very welcoming. The cake was much appreciated. The cottage was very warm and comfortable. The location was beautiful with a view down the lane that could grace to any greeting card. There were so many places to visit. We particularly enjoyed Barmouth and walks on the hills above. The absence of light pollution at night produced the most incredible of night skies.
Mrs Clark
October 2012
It was very peaceful and secluded, but near enough to the area's amenities.
Mr Cole
August 2012
Location ideal for the mountains and the beach. Sheep and sheep dog. Ideal for small person (18 months).
Mrs Payne
August 2012
The owners were very helpful. The views were beautiful and the cottage was perfect for our family. Getting there to see a home baked cake was a huge bonus.
Mr Bird
August 2012
The cottage was first class. Milk, sugar and teabags supplied, with a cake made by the owner that was to die for! I would recommend this cottage and the location to everyone.
