We had a lovely peaceful holiday in this lovely holiday cottage.. I can't think anyone would be disappointed if they had a holiday at Caer Moel. Mrs Williams was most helpful with everything, we hope to go again and take our friends.

We stayed at Caer Moel for a week with our 4 young children, the cottage was immaculate and even better than the description. The owners were very warm and welcoming and we arrived to a lovely welcome package of tea/coffee/sugar, milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine and box of chocolates on the table. We would definitely recommend staying here and if we return to Wales we will be booking this cottage again.

The cottage was immaculate and even better than the description given.. When we arrived the owners had left us a bottle of wine, chocolates and basic supplies tea/coffee/sugar and milk in the fridge. The owners were contactable by phone should we need them and were very warm and welcoming. I would most definitely recommend staying here.

My Husband and I stayed at this wonderful place with our two daughters , son-in-laws and two grown up Grandchildren. It is a really well equipped and clean farmhouse and very modern and spacious inside.Bedrooms were lovely and beds really comfortable. The garden is lovely and private surrounded by fields with a little narrow gauge railway that runs by most days at the bottom of the garden. There was a lovely welcome pack on our arrival consisting of a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge and a tin of freshly baked Welsh Cakes on the table which were delicious. It is near to lots of the attractions and beaches We would certainly book to stay at this lovely place again if we come back to Wales.

A brilliant location.. The house was amazing - really lovely and extremely well resourced. Mrs Williams the owner was very helpful, kind and welcoming. The steam rain passed by close to the house and an excellent view of it on the track was available via the nearby bridge 100 metres from the house. The beaches at Criccieth and Llanbedrog were fabulous. The area provided many walking opportunities: Beddgelert was particularly superb. We strongly recommend Caer Moel to families with or without children

Met expectations because it was our second visit.. A lovely base for a family holiday. The only improvement we could think of would be another loo downstairs, but we don't think the lack of one detracts from the accommodation much.

Our cottage was perfectly situated so close to everywhere we wanted to go and explore.. Rhian Williams was brilliant and was available on the phone to help with a query we had about a local attraction and we arrived to a very kind gift package: milk in fridge, welsh cakes, wine and chocolates which started our holiday off perfectly. Plenty of room for our two families to hang out independently as well as together and the rooms were comfortable and well furnished. Wifi a bit intermittent (couldn't get it upstairs) but that just meant the teens hung out with us more :-)

This is a smart and cosy place and fantastic for a large group.. We especially liked the location, close to local amenities but very private with its own driveway. Thank you so much to our gracious hosts for a wonderful stay.

The unexpected Welsh Highland Railway running down the bottom of the garden was seriously ace.. Seeing steam trains 4 times a day made my week :-) The house was warm and toasty, spotlessly clean, seriously well equipped. The location was very good, 10 mins to Caernarfon, 40 mins to Portmeirion, 20 mins to Anglesey.

We absolutely loved this place! ! I would definitely return. It wouldn’ve been good to know before hand though that there was a hair dryer and caffetiere there as we were told by Sykes that wouldn’t be included. There was far more amenities than advertised. Toilet roll, salt and pepper was included also. The rooms were all large and the area so peaceful. A truly amazing property with under floor heating, great showers and outside area with picnic tables. No negatives points to this place! X

We were 4 generations between ages 15 and 89 and have just returned from one of the best houses we have ever stayed in. Great location peaceful easily accessed and rooms furnishings and equipment all to high spec. The house was spacious and light with lovely views and was warm and welcoming couldn't have wished for more we were happy to stay in and enjoy the house. Lovely touches such as welcome flowers wine and Welsh cakes (Very nice). Owner very helpful and warmly welcoming we would certainly recommend and hope to return soon.

No everything was just as described and the owner was very acommodating.. The house was very comfortable in everyway. This was one of the nicest houses we have stayed in and we rent a holiday home in Wales 3 to 4 times a year. It was especially good for our elderly parents with a well appointed ground floor bedroom and facilities. It was also nice and warm and the drive up to the house gave a good impression. Maybe a little bit of info on where we could do our own recycling locally would assist as the collections are not very frequent and this may assist the owner. We would definitely recommend and hope to re book.

5 of us stayed for a long weekend.. We all loved the farmhouse. Such a quiet and peaceful location, overlooking fields with hills in the distance, but only a few miles from Caernarfon for all it's facilities. A great location for exploring the mountains, Anglesey, or down the Llyn peninsula. The farmhouse itself was so warm and cosy, what with the underfloor heating and all. Very spacious bedrooms and really well decorated throughout, dining area a lovely place to sit down together. Can't recommend enough.

Caer Moel is a lovely comfortable farmhouse in a fantastic setting with a family friendly garden and a wonderful open plan kitchen, dining area with great views of the surrounding countryside.. It's really well located between Llanberis and Caernarfon with a huge amount to do in the local area.

July 2018
Caer Moel is a lovely place for a holiday.. The cottage is ideally situated in beautiful countryside yet within a few miles of Caernarfon with its restaurants, pubs, shops, boat trips and, of course, the magnificent castle. The cottage is quiet and peaceful, the only noise coming from the infrequent steam trains (the wonderful Welsh Highland Line) passing the end of the garden. The cottage is, in effect, a completely detached building with a large garden, patio and scenic views over the distant hills towards Snowdonia. There’s plenty of space around the cottage too – the immediate surroundings are mainly fields and woods. The very large kitchen and dining room, and bathrooms are modern with all of the facilities you would expect in a brand-new building. The living room and bedrooms are furnished in an older, more comfortable style and are very cosy. The rooms are big, with plenty of space for a large group. And, of course, the bottles of wine and welsh cakes were very much appreciated.

A wonderful place to stay, perfect for our two young children, us and my parents.. A great location for exploring north west Wales and Anglesey. We hope to return to Caer Moel again for another holiday some time. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for self-catering accommodation in the area.

We had a fantastic time at Caer Moel! What a wonderful retreat of a home! Rhian made us feel truly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be back to Caer Moel another time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Light, airy and spacious with everything you could need for your stay. We were a group of three generations who all found the house comfortable and relaxing, with facilities on your doorstep but a glorious rural feel; surrounding fields and the steam train passing by - which is a brilliant, nostalgic sight! If you're a large family group you won't be disappointed in what this house has to offer.

We have just returned from a lovely week in Caer Moel with our son, daughter in law and two grandchildren to celebrate a 70th birthday. The cottage is superb very nicely decorated with everything you may need for self catering. Rian the owner was very welcoming and came to ask if we needed anything, she also left for us on arrival home made welsh cakes, bottle of wine, easter eggs for the children, milk, tea and fresh flowers what a warm welcome. The cottage is in an excellent location to visit lots of attractions near to beaches and a short drive to the mountains. When we arrived home we had an e-mail from Rian asking if we enjoyed our stay and wishing us Happy Easter. We would definitely recommend and visit again

Caer Moel is a great property with excellent facilities and plenty of space both inside and out.. It is a relatively recent refurbishment so everything is in great condition. Easy to find and a great location for trips into west/north wales Caernarfon etc. We did the zip wire at Bethesda which was about 25 mins away. Overall would recommend this place. When we got there, there was a bottle of red wine and some really tasty home made cakes, which was a nice touch from the proprietor. Overall would recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage, clean and well maintained.. As we stayed over the Christmas the owner provided a Christmas Tree, and Christmas Crackers. Two bottle of wine, bread and milk. In the evening she popped in with home made mince pies. What an amazing host :) Location was great close to steam railway station, short drive to Caernarfon Castle, local supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Already thinking of booking another stay in the summer with friends and family

This cottage is absolutely beautiful, the photos do not do it justice! It is incredibly well equipped, and the personal touches by the owners make it feel very homely. The home baked welsh cakes, wine, sweets, milk and flowers were a lovely and most appreciated on arrival. We would love to come back again and would happily recommend to others.

All in all everything was excellent from booking and paying the contact and information was excellent.. The cottage was stunning Rhian & Wynn the owners were faultless and a welcome box of Welsh cakes plus milk & wine was a nice gesture. It was always warm and very well appointed we had a great week. Thank you ever so much. Even the fact that a steam train passes by at the foot of the garden made us reminisce of our childhood when steam was king.

Caer Moel is a fantastic cottage that exceeded our expectation.. We were a party of two families of four, and with the spacious layout of the cottage was perfect for the mix of space and comfort. The finish to the cottage was very modern and extremely clean and the gardens were great for the kids (and adults) to run around and the setting is superb. The owners were really accommodating and welcoming and I would recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area.

Me and some friends stayed at Caer Moel for a weekend, the house itself is a dream home with a nice big fire place and conformable, sociable seating area, the dining area is light and airy and each room was decorated lovely, there were some games and cards that kept us entertained. There were 7 adults and we never felt crowded. The owner (Rhian) was very welcoming and came to see us once we had settled in to make sure we were warm enough and had found everything ok, she had left us some welsh cakes, some milk and a bottle of wine which was great as we had a 5 hour drive to get there. There is a nice pub just down the road if you turn left at the end of lane its called the New borough arms, the food was very nice here and there is a small shop just opposite or a large Tesco a little further down the road. The house Is a good location for any of the Zipworld locations and mount Snowdon, we went to the Safari Zip and it took us around an hour to get there, it was a very scenic drive with lots of small waterfalls. I would recommend this house to anyone, me and my friends were very happy with our choice.
