I stayed here for a week with my mother and 8 year old daughter. All three generations of the family loved the cottage. Everything was very comfortable and cosy. My mum loved the interior design, I liked the well equipped kitchen and my daughter loved the big garden and toys. Ann is a wonderful hostess. Nothing is too much for her. An example is that I contacted her just to let her know that I had used the last light bulb. She was there within minutes with a box of new bulbs! I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Its fantastic.

This is our first trip to Trefor and choose this terraced cottage as a base to explore from. This worked out really well for our family and we enjoyed having a place to ourselves. Each room was nicely decorated and clean and fresh. The kitchen was especially well equipped, with hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and ample utensils. Please note the steps up to the house would be awkward for pushchair or wheelchair users, but parking is very convenient with one space outside the front. The property also has a nice garden and utility area which included washer and dryer. To give you an idea of the thoughtfulness of the host there was a cupboard dedicated to plastic cups and plates for the garden. Ann also lives close by which is handy in case of emergencies. Our host gave us a warm welcome and welcome basket, which was easter themed and most appreciated. Simple things like bread and milk were also included and made such a big difference. The living room included a log burner with plenty of fuel and we also noticed a well stocked cupboard with DVDs and some kids toys. I especially liked finding a cupboard of books and scrabble and chess! Ann has thought of everything to make the house a home from home. If I could offer one small thing to improve the property it would be to give all of the doors around the handles a bit of a clean. Otherwise this was a perfect stay and a place I'm sure we would love to come back too.

From the very start we felt right at home, the cottage was well equipped with everything that we needed.. Ann the host was very attentive, she left a welcome pack for us which was filled with bread, milk, welsh cakes & welsh butter. the cottage was very clean inside & out. The cottage itself is in a beautiful area which was surrounded by what I call mountains, there is a quiet little beach not far from the cottage, the village shop had everything you would need during a stay at Bythynnod Newydd Cottage. Myself & my partner felt very much at home there & we would stay there again. Ann has done an amazing job with her cottage & I give her 10 stars. Thankyou Sykes for offering this cottage has a fabulous holiday yet. Anyone who stays there will say the same Just FABULOUS.

This was our second visit/stay at Bythynnod Newydd and it won't be our last. We love this house, it is spotlessly clean, cosy and very well equipped. The local area is lovely and quiet and offers easy access to the main attractions, Snowdon, Cader Idris, Betws-Y-Coed etc. It also offers some great days out that are off the beaten track but offer the same amount of beauty and escape. The house is situated in the middle of a beautiful mountain range, which is always lovely to look out at, if the weather allows! There is a lovely coastal walk at the back of the house, that leads down to a very quiet and peaceful beach. Ideal for stretching the dogs legs after a long journey. The house itself is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We never need anything when we are there, asides food of course! The log burner is wonderful, Wi-Fi is good, washing machine works great, cooker etc, all great. The garden is big and beautiful, our dog loves it, I would love to see the garden in the summer months to enjoy the views from the seating area. Ann, the host is amazing, she couldn't do anymore for us. Both times we have stayed have been over the Xmas period and she really does goes out of her way to ensure we are happy, comfortable and feeling Christmassy! The house is always spotlessly clean and has the most special touches - Xmas tree, outdoor lights, candles, table decorations etc. Its magical. We cannot fault this house in any way. We have found a real gem and will return every year from now on... Thanks again Ann, we are very grateful for all your efforts to make our time away special! x

The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped.. Owner had thoughtfully provided milk, bread etc. The garden is very nice and enclosed although you have to cross a small alleyway to get to it (relevant if you have a dog as we did). Beach is about a 10 minute walk. It’s not a great beach but good for a dog walk and there are plenty of excellent beaches nearby. The shop in the village (5 mins walk) is well stocked with all the basics. We didn’t try the pub as a couple of locals gave us poor feedback on it, in fact there is a dearth of pubs and eateries nearby (15-20 minute drive to Pwllheli or Nefyn required). Overall a very good cottage and a good base for exploring the area.

Ann is a very welcoming and obliging host.. Fresh flowers and groceries on arrival much appreciated. As older guests (70s!) would have benefited from handles to lever ourselves out of the bath and had to take care on the front steps where the bottom step (of six) is partly of a different colour which, in the dark, can easily be mistaken for an extra step. Everything else perfect. Our two fairly minor quibbles are for your and Ann's eyes only.

This is a wonderful cottage with everything you need for a perfect holiday.. The owner cannot do enough for you and provides a lovely welcoming basket of goodies to help get you started. Trefor is situated in the perfect area for getting around to explore other places and ideal if you like walking. Cannot recommend this cottage enough, we have been here twice now and will definately be back again.

We had a lovely holiday at Bythynnod Newydd in Trefor.. The house was clean and comfortable and very well equipped. The owner made us welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Our granddaughters really loved the toys, games, books and DVDs that had been provided, and the basket of food essentials was also much appreciated. The garden was a lovely space for an afternoon at home, and for days out there were plenty of places to visit along the Llyn peninsula. We enjoyed Caernarvon Castle, Dinas Dinlle beach, and pebble painting at Fron Goch garden centre. We especially enjoyed the Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm and Animal Park in Llanystumdwy. Lovely to come home each day to a comfortable and cosy house. Thank you Ann!

We highly recommend this comfortable really well equipped cottage.. It was spotless and had a lovely garden with superb views of the surrounding hills. Being only fifteen minutes from Nefyn and Pwllheli and thirty minutes from Porthmadog it's ideally situated. The owner Ann was very nice and helpful and her recommendation of The White Hall pub for an evening meal was perfect, well worth a visit.

We have just returned from a fantastic week.. The cottage was cosy, beautifully decorated and equipped with pretty much anything you could think of. There were lots of toys, dvds etc to entertain the children both indoor and outdoor. The owner had left a welcome pack for us with some essentials and some treats. She had included some thoughtful items for our children too. The garden was great for us as it was good weather so we sat out most evenings and even had a BBQ. The cottage served as a good base for exploring the area. We had many days on different beaches as well as trips on the beautiful Ffestiniog Railway and to Caernarfon and it’s Castle. There is so much more still to see. As we drove away from the cottage we booked again for next year. Need I say more!

December 2017
We stayed at Bythynnod Newydd with our dog for a week over Christmas - 2017.. We had a fantastic week and were thrilled with the house. Excellent location for exploring, with beautiful walks just outside the door and a very easy drive to the more popular tourist locations - Snowdon, Anglesey etc. The house was very cosy, lovely double log burner and comforting decor throughout. Although this house is in a residential street, it was extremely quite and peaceful. I think we saw 1x person all week and that was the lady next door. We were able to park directly outside the house each day, no matter what time we returned. As we stayed at Bythynnod Newydd in December, we weren't able to make use of the pretty garden but if attending in the summer, i would say this is a big pro. Lovely large garden, very well maintained and with stunning views of the mountains in most directions. Ann the owner was very welcoming and extremely caring. She had decorated the house for us for Xmas with was lovely for us to be welcomed with upon arrival. The tree was beautiful, outdoor lights were a lovely touch and she even brought us Xmas table wear for our Xmas dinner. Very sweet. Main bedroom is huge and very comfortable. After many hours in the day spent walking and dredging though the snow, we were always please to dive into such a comfortable bed. Spare bedroom is also very spacious and cosy, love decor again and great views over the garden. Wifi was great, fast and responsive, which for us was amazing. Normally we have lots of issues with signal in Wales but the connection was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bythynnod Newydd and will defiantly return! Great house, great location, cosy, welcoming and well equipt. Thankyou Ann for such a memorable stay!

The cottage was excellent, very clean and comfortable.. Well situated for getting around sightseeing. Beautiful views. There is even a bus stop just outside the door which takes you into Pwllheli or Caernarvon. We definitely intend returning next year for a longer stay.

We loved our time in this pristine comfortable and well equipped cottage.. Special praise for the beautiful garden and its seating area, and for the friendly and helpful owner. The location is excellent, within a 30 Minute drive of numerous great places to see/things to do including Zip Velocity, Anglesey and Llanberis/Snowdon. All the booking arrangements were really easy. We had a lovely break here and would highly recommend.
