Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.. Owner was very kind and welcoming. We had a fantastic week with our dogs. WiFi was a bit dodgy, but not really a problem. You can walk down to the fisherman’s path and into Beddgelert very easily, great walks on the doorstep. Pubs were perfect too.

What a wonderful cottage, in a perfect location.. The views were fantastic, and it was so quiet and peaceful, the garden was great for our two frenchies., there was plenty of space for us to bbq and sit out. This was just the right place for a hardworking family to relax. The owner was really friendly and helpful, especially when we had high winds and rain, she came to check that we were ok. I would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay there again.

The cottage had everything we needed despite the restrictions due to coronavirus.. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. Our dog had a great time too.

The views from the patio door were fantastic and the surroundings were peaceful, with only the twitter of birds to interrupt your holiday.. The landlady of the property was very attentive and understanding when we had a problem during our stay and she always asked if we were having a nice time. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were well appointed. In fact, when we arrived, the whole bungalow was spotless and the porch was a useful addition, as were the torches provided. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and taking a stroll along a beach with our dogs as well as taking photographs of the beautiful scenery.

We really loved this cottage it is the BEST we have ever stayed in.. It is very homely, nicely decorated, very clean, and had everything you could need. We had our two Cavaliers Bertie & Suki and they loved the very dog friendly garden. From this cottage you had really lovely views it was so peaceful. It was the ideal base for touring around we will definitely stay there again we wouldn't even look for other cottages. We give this cottage 10/10

Directions to property could be amended to include "take left turn signed Nantmor, cross railway track, continue up narrow road, turn left at large chapel and pass phone box on right".. Cottage was very clean, had excellent wifi connection but no BT mobile signal and the central heating was very efficient warming the property from cold to cosy in a short time. Plenty of drawer space in bedrooms but hanging space a little limited. Adequate kitchen utensils, sufficient pots and pans etc. but could do with some additional glasses and bowls especially if four people using. We found the lounge lighting a little inadequate for reading but the owner kindly supplied an additional lamp which solved the problem. Small welcome gift of bara brith and milk appreciated.

Having experienced various cottages over the years we can happily say that it was the best.. Every requirement was met to the smallest detail. A real home from home in all respects. Even the dog didn't want to come home! Hopefully will be back again one day.

Idyllic tranquil setting in beautiful countryside - just the place to get away from the normal daily stresses and hassle..

The cottage was lovely and very well stocked with just about everything anyone could need.. The people we met were very welcoming and the owner was there if we needed anything and she kept us informed about anything we might need. We were close to many places we wanted to go to and there were some lovely walks you could do if you wanted to. There are two gates which needed to be opened and closed whenever you went out but that was a minor thing. The views from the cottage were beautiful and it was in a nice private area so if you didn't want to see anyone you didn't have to. The weather was mixed but we managed to do everything we wanted to do in the breaks between the rain. All in all we had a lovely week and couldn't have wanted for anything.

The Cottage was extremely nice and comfortable.. The Patio and garden were astonishing and grace to the nice weather we could really enjoy it. Good beds and a good shower in the cottage. The Cottage ‚Bwythyn Y Wennol‘ is because of the perfect location a good base for hiking and sightseeing.

We could not fault the cottage for the facilities,it is rather remote but there are plenty of walks nearby.. The weather was not very kind to us the week we stayed,so didn't manage to do all the walks we planned to do. Nantmor railway station on the Welsh Highland Railway is a short distance down the road if want to go to Beddgelert and walk back along the Fishermans walk along the river.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cosy cottage.. We were warm and comfortable. The surrounding countryside was beautiful with the hills and moutains all around us. The cottage itself was charming and we loved it, the only issues we had were lack of coat hangers and space to put suitcases etc. The kitchen needs looking at carefully and items such as vegetable knife, wooden chopping board needs adding also. A set of weighing scales should be added too, i took my own ( for weighing out dog food). An enjoyable week with some beautiful walks on the local beaches and visits to copper mine.

A lovely little cottage in a very quiet and beautiful location.. The owner lives nearby but is not at all intrusive, and made us feel very welcome with homemade cake. For train lovers the steam train from Porthmadog to Caernarfon can be accessed from Nantmor (a short walk from the cottage) as it is a request stop.

We had a lovely winter holiday in this cottage, which is well-equipped, comfortable and warm (one reason for choosing it was somone else's past review mentioning what a warm cottage it was - they were right - it's great - and often this is not the case with holiday cottages).. The pictures don't really do it justice - there is a good porch with coat hooks, shoe/boot rack and a huge selection of tourist information leaflets; this opens into a fairly wide tiled hall / passageway which makes the cottage more spacious than it seems from the pictures. It's very cottagey and homely with a lot of art and ornaments to look at when the cloud comes down and you can't see the lovely views outside. The wifi worked without any fuss (not always the case) and there is an ice-box style freezer compartment within the fridge which I am sure would have been worth mentioning in the description and a useful combi washer/drier as well. The kitchen has everything you could need and is quite spacious too. The cottage is well-located for many excellent walks; the enclosed side garden was useful for the dog and I'm sure it is pretty too in the right season. The owner is right next door but her house is the other side of the big barn, so the cottage feels secluded and it is a beautiful and peaceful spot. I'd consider it again for a winter break.

Bwythyn Y Wennol is a perfect holiday cottage.. It is very comfortable, has a great heating system (which was important for a November stay) and every facility we needed. For us it is ideally located at the end of a secluded track, making it very private, quiet and set between the hills, with a great outlook from the lounge to the surrounding pastures. Our host, Gay, met us soon after arrival to ensure everything was okay and then left us to our own devizes. The cottage was spacious and very cosy at all times. We're happy to highly recommend it to anyone seeking a base in North wales.

We had an amazing time - if anything the listing didn't do the cottage justice.. We were delighted with the location (remote, beautiful), and the size of the property, which was much bigger than we expected. We did lots of walking (plenty of walks without needing to use the car at all), and the kids loved it too. Perfect!

The pictures of the cottage online dont reflect the true beauty of the cottage and surroundings, so as you can imagine we were in awe of everything. Would highly recommend this cottage stay.

Bwythyn Y Wennol was cosy and comfortable. Plenty of walks from the door with local shops and pubs only a couple of miles away. Lots of walks and activities locally and surprisingly weather was good and even managed to get up into the snow. Good base for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding area.

The location was perfect for us and we were more than happy with the accommodation. The property was very homely and cosy and lived up to all expectations. It was ideal for planning walks, and the coast wasn't far either. A very very nice stay, will holiday there again in the future.

Liked the ideal of feeling secluded, remote close to Welsh mountain life and yet still having the modern comforts and access to a village and town close by.

May 2015
We found this cottage absolutely delightful, it was great to be off the beaten track 'but only just' over a slight hill. Every aspect was exactly as described and we felt at home as soon as we entered the cottage - and that was late in the evening in the dark! We awoke the next morning and were very happy with the aspect and surroundings we found ourselves within. We had a delightful stay.
