After a week here with my extended family I feel that I have been robbed of hard earned cash. If some of the rental money was used for the upkeep of the property we may have had a better time. On arrival our 4 year old daughter cried because of the strong smell of curry that we were greeted with. The place was filthy, the first 4 hours of our holiday was spent cleaning and removing black cobwebs from all corners of every room. The decking and decking furniture was rotten and had in some places been attempted to be fixed with wood from pallets. There were rusty screws sticking out of the rotten woodwork that could have quite easily had injured the children. The nature trails were non existent and the fairy cottage was a wood shed complete with rubbish and a hatchet for the fire wood, The bins were full, the weeds were higher than the children and there was not a butterfly to be seen but plenty of wasps. In the children's bedroom the wood burning stove had been removed but the hole that the steel flue should have gone into was still open in the wall. I wonder if the fire downstairs had been lit would the smoke go through the open chimney into the bedroom. there was a trampoline that was covered with weeds and missing springs meaning it was unsafe to use. This could be a stunning property but a lack of investment and plenty of shoddy workmanship has let it down. Dont waste your money and find somewhere else to stay.

Never have I seen or stayed in a dirty unsafe holiday home like this one. Please don't trust any of the picture you see about this holiday home cause it's all rubbish. Myself and family spent are first 4 hours just bleaching it and trying to make it more liveable. I could say endless thing on what was wrong with this place because there was nothing right. It isn't safe for kids or adults!!

The house is very comfortable and big.. Lots os space and well furnitured. Easy to check-in and check-out. The owner of the house gave us all the support we needed answering our questions about wifi and things like that pretty quickly. Went with a group of 10 people and we all had a great time there. Car is a must, but not too far from the city. The only thing I would recommend would be a better care with the back garden/area. There is a big and beautiful area and the grass was very high, so not very nice to walk around.

We booked this house to celebrate Christmas with all the family. The house was perfect for all our needs. The children particularly loved the large playroom/bedroom. There was even a sensory room which provided a space to relax and take a time out from the all the festivities. There was a lovely positive and homely energy about the place, which allowed us all to really relax and enjoy our time together. We made friends with the resident animals a beautiful pony and a gentle and friendly cat. Overall we all had a wonderful time and will come back again in the summer time, so we can explore the surrounding area, as its a great base to discover the sunny South East. Thanks Siobhan you made us feel very welcome.

Butterfly house was the perfect space for bringing together our two families of 4 adults, 5 children ( aged 7-13) and one dog for a relaxing five days at the end of October.. The huge rooms, with their collection of quirky furnishings, invite you to explore, play and rest in a homely atmosphere. The sun pours into the large open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room demanding that you curl up in the corner window with a book or sit at the kitchen island with a cup of tea and chat. From the generous windows you can keep a close eye on the kids bouncing on the in-ground trampoline or playing hide and seek in the surrounding fields. Off the kitchen is a large deck, that in the warmer weather would entice you to take your rest outdoors. The house is cradled behind by an evergreen forest where we went for daily adventures, including the spotting of wild deer, exciting for both adults and children! In the evening we gathered round the multi fuel stove, with plenty of seating for all. Nearby there is a good small supermarket in Cappoquin, beautiful woodland historic walks around Lismore or a larger collection of shops/ cinema in Dungarvan, which is also the start of the Waterford Greenway and close enough to drive to the lovely Clonea Beach. We never made it that far! The kids were so busy playing outdoors or in the family room equipped with pool table, foozeball and air hockey that they never even asked for an electronic device. When they had exhausted themselves they went for respite to the small sensory room that the owner Siobhan has set up with soft coloured lighting, bean bag and gym ball, where they chilled out or read a book. Butterfly House was the perfect escape for our two families to relax, have fun and enjoy spending time together. Siobhan and her two gorgeous children were there to assist if we needed and our kids loved having more company to explore the outdoors with. A great place to reconnect with nature and extended family or friends.

Butterfly House is a large house, ideal for that of large families, or a group of friends.. It’s extremely comfortable accommodation, located in the beautiful Irish countryside, and is cozy and considerably spacious. The accommodation consists of all amenities to make a stay perfect, the highlights for us were the dining area where all can sit together to enjoy breakfast and meals, and also the fantastic views for the terrace which overlooks green fields and also the forest which houses a host of wildlife. The accommodation is also situated well for those looking to do long walks, or those even looking to do some cycling and is close to Cappoquin, Dungarvan, Waterford, and Cork. Ms. Brady, the owner of Butterfly House is such as kind, caring, and helpful person, and it was such a pleasure for us as a family to get to meet Ms. Brady, and also to experience the delights of what Butterfly House has to offer. We as a family recommend the Butterfly House for an Irish getaway.

The property was spacious and suited our needs perfectly.. Very peaceful surroundings. Our grandchildren loved the games room particularly and spent a lot of time there when we were not out. Ideal property for a large family or group and owner was near at hand and very helpful. Access to N72 and Cappoquin or Dungarvan was straight down the lane from the house . We all enjoyed our week thoroughly.

The Butterfly House was perfect for our needs as a family of ten ranging from a one year old to adults.. Siobhan Brady was a wonderful host and very helpful in making recommendations to us around the area. It was the perfect place to get away from it all, yet be close to many local and distant attractions.

It was a nice location, and the house had plenty of bedrooms and space.. but it was absolutely filthy. Deep dust on every surface of every piece of furniture. I don't think the steps had ever been vacuumed. We had to scrub the counter tops and island before even putting groceries down. There was a sign that said if you smoked in the house, you would be charged 150 pounds for it to be cleaned.. I don't smoke, but was temped to, just so the house would be cleaned !
