Having lived in the Dale for many years we were back to catch up with friends and re-acquaint ourselves with the beauty of Nidderdale. The cottage was warm and very nicely furnished. Everything that we could ask for was there. There was a great view to the rear and excellent pubs nearby, one within walking distance. All pubs had the appropriate Covid precautions in place so it felt like a very safe area to come to. Darley is well placed for local walks along the river and there is a plethora of attractions in the vicinity. Highly recommend Bumble Cottage and would love to come back in the future.

We had been let down by a previous company, when i contacted Sykes cottages they helped out straight away and found us an amazing little cottage in a delightful village that was pictures.. The cottage was fabulous and the owner who greeted us was brilliant we will be staying there again. Sykes cottages help and information on getting there was 2nd to none.

Beautiful little cottage, spent 2 nights here.. Spent the day in Harrogate as the weather wasn’t good although I would have loved to explore the lovely country side which surrounded the cottage. Excellent views. Visited the Wellington Inn which was just a short walk away, lovely pub.

The cottage was really cosy, comfy, and pleasant.. At the end of the week we were very sad to leave, and that says a lot. The village is really friendly. It was ideal for our pup, she loved exploring the nearby walks and playing in the river. The cottage was clean, and had everything you needed for a weeks break, it was an excellent base for exploring the Dales. A dryer as well as a washing machine would have been great (weather meant that clothes got muddy quickly!). We were initially disappointed there was no broadband, but there was a decent 4G signal and so that worked well. Recommended - we would go back.

Lovely area to explore the local area around Darley and our dog enjoyed all the Darley Trail walks.. Cottage was very warm and welcoming and even when we had a problem with the heating/hot water it was sorted out in record time by the owner. Thank you for a lovely stay and would definitely come again.

Stayed over the Christmas period . Cosy and clean with everything we needed. There is a very useful community shop in the village, with a good selection of fresh fruit and veg and other groceries. Only things I would comment on is that the second bedroom is a single, not a twin as described on trip adviser at time of writing and the washing machine only washes not dries, but these were not a problem for us.

Nothing really.. We have been before, which must be recommendation enough However if you arrive in the dark, it would be very helpful to have an outside light near the key box. We had a great time Many thanks

Very nice to have contact with the owner via email before we arrived and afterwards.. Cottage was as expected and very pleasant. A mirror in the bathroom and bedroom would be good. There was one in the bedroom but it was hidden away in a wardrobe. Sofa was a bit of a pain having to plump up the cushions all the while. Good sized television. Excellent location with bus stop to Harrogate outside the door. Would choose that cottage again.

Bumble Cottage is in a beautiful peaceful village with lovely views.. Felt a little hemmed in with it having no back garden. Your description is not entirely accurate at first glance, stating that it has a bathroom. It is not until you read full description that you find out it only has a shower room. I missed that and was a little disappointed. However, everywhere was clean and nothing appeared to be lacking. We found the lounge furniture a little uncomfortable and the sofa could definitely benefit from the addition of a few cushions!! Overall we had a lovely holiday in an amazing area but doubt we will choose to visit Bumble Cottage again.

The cottage is exactly as described and pictured. Its wonderful. Its a great location for travelling around to other tourist attractions, excellent walking around the local heritage trail. Has a fabulous village/community shop near the cricket pitch. Pub very close (not tested) We had the best weather so spent little time at the house but it was lovely to come home to. Fully equipped and comfortable really nicely done. We missed the Internet for planning our trips! The people around were SO friendly and the man next door really helpful. It was a really lovely holiday thank you

Truly delightful cottage -well placed for touring and visiting.. Every household requirement and really nicely set up. Quiet peaceful and even the neighbour next door was helpful re rubbish collections and local knowledge. We would go back again it was glorious. One little thing and some would think ‘for heavens sake get a life comment’ - was the only thing we missed was no internet connection or Wi-fi, it just seems that today everything we have requires some access to this- looking up places, events etc we used all our data capacity. (Our fault I know we should have read ALL the cottage information in depth ) It did not detract from the visit - wonderful thank you

Lovely comfortable cottage.. Very cozy, good beds and shower and everything there for a home from home and lovely views over open countryside to the rear. The local pub is walkable from Bumble Cottage and served very good food and great open fire with dogs allowed and wi fi available. Car parking was to the front of the property by the bus stop. The local post office/shop/cafe in the village is one of the best we have seen - lots of fruit and veg and welcoming. Cottage not too far from Leeds and even closer to Harrogate. Wonderful little find and Thank you.

Lovely cottage in a quiet village only a few miles from Harrogate, Skipton, Knaresborough and lots of other places. Superbly located to explore. The cottage itself is nicely furnished and sleeps a couple in a good size double bedroom, and a single in a small but cosy room. The kitchen is well-equipped with enough cutlery etc for four people, and there is a very nice wood burning stove in the living room - welcoming on a wet or cold day! The porch is ideal for taking off shoes or wellies before going inside, and hanging up coats or umbrellas. One well-behaved dog is welcome, although not upstairs, and there are plenty of walks to keep everyone fit, including climbing the rather steep stairs! Be aware that there is no back garden, and while the small front garden has seating, it's not really suitable for a barbecue. Also note that the local shop in the village closed recently, so make sure you pick up some essentials before arriving. The local watering-hole - The Wellington Inn - does excellent food in the restaurant or bar, and welcomes dogs too. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this holiday let to anyone who wants a comfortable base to explore the fantastic countryside.

Liked the overall standard of the cottage and attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable and the instructions about the cottage were admirably brief and thorough. The owner was most helpful when we contacted her before our stay with a couple of queries. The cottage more than fulfilled our expectations. The village of Darley was ideally placed for exploring the area on foot or by car.
