We really enjoyed our stay at Bryn Y Don Cottage.. It was very easy to find following the directions given. The cottage was clean, bright and spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped. The cottage is in the middle of Benllech village, with a wide range of local facilities available within easy walking distance, such as a Tesco Local, several takeaways, pub and seafood shop. I recommend the Golden Fry chippie, which does an excellent click and collect service. The beach is a ten minute walk away, with a very wide beach at low tide. Dogs are permitted on the northern and southern extremes of Benllech beach, though these sections are inaccessible at high tide. There are several other dog-friendly beaches a short drive away. From the cottage, the beach is visible, as are Mount Snowdon and other peaks. The sea is actually only a few hundred yards away and makes a nice relaxing sound from the patio. The cottage makes an excellent base for visiting local attractions. We took our dog with us to walk across the Menai Strait via the Menai Bridge and then the short distance along the coastal path to Church Island, which is a small island accessible by a permanant tarmaced walkway which is home to the small St Tysilio church and adjoining graveyard. We also visited the railway station at Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll which is nearby. We have also been to Holy Island to take a walk down the 400+ steps to Short Stack island and its lighthouse, although it is currently not possible to cross the bridge to the island due to Covid restrictions. In any case, dogs are not permitted on the lighthouse tour. We would highly recommend this cottage and have already booked our next stay.

The cottage was perfect for our week away.. The track is a bit rough down to it but it is very quiet and private. Extremely clean with free WiFi, all the appliances you need for ease. The beds were comfortable and the shower was ok. Towels, tea, coffee and sugar were all provided with dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc. Within walking distance to a playground and supermarkets, takeaways and a chemist. As well as restaurants and pubs. Benllech beach is a nice walk from the cottage but take the car if you are going to spend the day on it as it is a steep hill to walk back. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone that is looking for a holiday on Anglesey. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely use this cottage again it’s just a shame there is no garden but there is decking at the front.

The only significant issue we had with this accommodation was finding it.. I may have missed some communication perhaps, but we understood that it was a property directly on Amlwch Road, however eventually after several enquiries with the locals we found this property down a short track, so if this information is not already on your website, then I would recommend that you make the necessary change so that future customers don't have the same problem.

Fab cottage, lovely and clean but not free WiFi which is disappointing as I would rather pay extra on the price of the cottage than have to pay £39 for BT WiFi! The house opposite is being renovated and the builders were not quiet! Being woken at 7am with a revving dumper truck is no joke when you are on holiday! Their radio is quite loud too with booming base that I could hear even with the windows closed. Other than that I loved it as it’s an ideal location for exploring the island.

Very clean comfortable cottage nice and warm easey walk to beach and shops pub and cafe ect.. one thing i think I should mention there is a large bump in the end of the lane and I managed to hit the bottom of my car even when I went slow , keep to the LHS as if you are coming out of the lane.

The cottage was in a lovely place, we had problems finding it in the dark, as it wasn’t marked out.. The instructions to find it were spot on, but really hard to follow in the dark. We could see the sea from the cottage, which was lovely. The cottage was really comfortable & we would recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to visit Anglesey. The only thing missing was a hairdryer, but that’s the only fault, other then that it was wonderful.

Lovely, well appointed cottage.. Spotlessly clean. Towels and bed linen provided. Well equipped kitchen. WiFi. Very comfortable beds. This was my first time in a holiday cottage, never mind in a Sykes Cottage. Delightful cottage, and I would be more than happy to do a return visit. Thank you.

Lovely comfortable cottage.. The village of Benllech has a Tesco Express, a fish and chip shop, a brilliant Chinese takeaway shop and a even a dog friendly pub that serves food all day. 5 minutes walk down the hill and you are on the lovely sandy beach where you can walk for miles. Everything my dog and I needed for a restful break away was catered for.

We booked this holiday at very short notice as a last minute getaway for the half term holidays.. We arrived to 2 very welcoming owners who greeted us and made sure we had anything and everything we need. They gave us some hidden gems to visit and told us all the best places to eat. We stayed in the cottage for a week and loved every minute. We had all the amenities we would need to accommodate a family of 4, one of which is only 18months. We had a cot, highchair and stair gate ready in the property meaning we didn’t need to worry about bringing our own. With a TV in every room and good WiFi connection this meant our teenager was more than happy too. The property is extremely well decorated, a nice bathroom and lovely comfortable beds it’s also lovely and warm so we didn’t require heating at all, not even at night! The kitchen is well equipped so if your looking to do plenty of cooking you’ll have everything you need and no stress afterwards with an dishwasher for the pots and pans. The location is 5 mins from the very picturesque Benllech Beach and 300 yards or so to the local shops, chip shop, takeaway and pub. The owners live next 2 doors down and are in hand to help if required. If you want a stress free break book this cottage!!! The only downside for us was that we could have stayed longer..... Thanks Carol and Gareth, we will be back very very soon!

Clean, warm semi-detached rental with well equipped kitchen including Portmeirion crockery. Blue Flag beach is down the steep hill, ten minutes walk back and the rental is very convenient to local shops and places to eat. Unfortunately the bedroom views described, one with distant mountain views and one with glimpses towards the sea are compromised by the extent of static caravans. Really appreciated being able to take our dog however there is no garden with grass available only decking so used torch to walk our dog down the rough track. We enjoyed being able to walk with our dog along Benllech beach to Red Wharf Bay at low tide.

Bryn Y Don is only a short walk to the Benllech shops, a pub, restaurants and the beach but it is set in a quiet area so that it is easy to relax at the end of a busy day. It was the perfect location for a holiday on Anglesey. The property is well laid out and equipped, and has everything in it that a holidaymaker needs and expects. The rooms are large and spacious. The property owner is very welcoming and helpful. My friend and I enjoyed our holiday here and we would recommend this property to our friends.
