Self-Catering Reviews

The flat was actually much nicer than the 'advert' showed in the photos, as there is a new pale grey thick carpet in the bedrooms, lounge and hall area, giving a unified look and feel, and new beds in the large bedroom as well as rearranged furniture in the living room made it all look much more modern and attractive.. The kitchen was well equipped but the gas cooker seemed dated. Parking next to the house was a bit tricky for even one car as there's not much of a turning area, but there is also parking on the track by the gate. The garden and patio were not as advertised as the owners have now made the patio private and off limits to guests, and part of the garden was being re-grassed, but as it was often rainy and windy we didn't want to sit outside! The sea is very close anyway, less than 100 yards to the nearest little beach. There was an irritating problem with the curtain tracks in the living room which weren't properly attached, but presumably the caretaker will have remedied this now? Apart from these few niggles we were very pleased with the flat, finding it very spacious, light and comfortable.

Wonderful cottage close to the beaches and local walks.. Comfortable for 7 easily and excellent facilities within, cooking, cleaning, laundry etc all catered for. Had a wonderful stay and would gladly do so again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bryn Gors and I would happily return. The location is absolutely beautiful, with views over the bay to the front, and over fields to the rear. the walk around the headland to the village is really beautiful, and we found several lovely places to eat. for a couple, it was very comfortable, if a little dated. I would have to say, I struggle to see how seven people would be accommodated. the small bedroom is barely big enough for a single bed, and having a double in it, is ridiculous in my opinion. similarly the large bedroom, has three mismatched single beds which makes it rather unattractive. I do feel if it was marketed for a family of five, with a double, a twin, and a single, that would be far more realistic, as there simply isn't enough living/dining space for seven people.

A fantastic apartment to help celebrate our 32yrs of marriage followed by my reaching 65yrs of age! An opportunity to revisit with our children and their respective partners favourite place around Treardurr and Anglesey from having spent 25yrs there at weekends and summer holidays at the Lea Caravan Park. The apartment was everything one could have hoped for with the owners being very pleasant and welcoming. The weather was fantastic making the views from both the apartment and whilst out walking spectacular.

The cottage was in the perfect location, away from the main beach, but with easy access to another small inlet with a small beach, cliff top walks and spectacular views of the bay and sunsets.. Just across the road was the Seacroft bar/restaurant, very popular and rightly so, serving good quality food in a lively atmosphere. The cottage itself was well equipped, clean and comfortable and brightly decorated, a very cheerful place with space for my kids to run around outside and in the fields to the rear of the property. A great holiday.

Unfortunately we had a problem with the kitchen hot water tap not turning off on the first evening, Mrs Foster was very sympathetic but as the caretaker could not come out we had to fix it ourselves, not too big of a problem.. Also the heating seemed to be coming on and going off at odd times, we couldn't alter it, and generally we had to use the back up heaters in the lounge when we where in, the bedrooms where always cold apart from about 6 in the morning. Saying all that, for the money we paid (and Mrs Foster left us a Christmas cake on a bottle of Prisecco as a welcome gift) we would go again.
