We all loved the house.. Amazing walks from the door. Short drive to the beach at Barmouth. House is on a noisy road but we got used to it, it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of it. The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful when we had an issue with the fridge freezer. The games room provided hours of entertainment with table tennis and pool. Would definitely go again

Bryn Cemlyn is a beautiful place to stay.. My family had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back. The games room was a real hit (with the big kids too). With so much space my little one has now mastered the art of walking and climbing up and down stairs. Amazing

A lovely property and definitely one I would recommend with a great location.. The only thing I would say is that the listing needs updating. The listing describes a Pub within walking distance, however this has been closed for sometime.

We stayed at Bryn Cemlyn recently. We had a lovely week, the location is fantastic, stunning views, a short drive to Dolgellau with shops and pubs and lots of activities within a 30min drive including some great beaches and walks. The house itself was really spacious, nice big lounge and the kitchen was well equipped. The games room was great and there is free wi fi. The house is on a busy road and you can hear traffic from quite early in the morning but this is stated in the description. A couple of the beds would certainly benefit from new mattresses and few little issues could do with being addressed such as missing blinds and lack of TV remote. We had a toddler and a dog with us and I wouldn’t describe the outside areas as either dog or child friendly. The patio area has access onto the main road so the only place to let the dog out was down a set of gated steep steps onto a gravelled area which then has access down to the river via some further steep, slippery steps which aren’t gated off. The view of the river is lovely though and had we not had the toddler it would have been much less of a concern. The description states pub within 1 mile but the aforementioned pub is closed and has been for some time by the looks of it so the nearest amenities are a 10min drive away in Dolgellau. We also had some additional ‘visitors’ during our stay in the form of mice. There were at least two that we managed to catch but there were old droppings in the kitchen and bedroom cupboards (as well as some of the previous guests’ belongings) as well as fresh deposits left in one of our bags and on clothing which wasn’t a particularly pleasant find. Despite the above we had a great time but we probably wouldn’t return.

Excellent base for a large group, as long as the bedroom arrangement suits (two triples).. Close to sea, forests and mountains, with walks directly from the house. It is on a busy road, but gated.

We were a party of ten, age range from 8 to 58. Had an excellent time, the house had everything we needed, we all had fun playing table tennis tournaments and pool. The living room was spacious with comfy seating for us and to spare. The views were lovely from every room, we enjoyed the walks almost as much as our 2 dogs, hope to come back soon.

A wonderful house with plenty of room for us all and great to have so many bathroom/shower rooms/toilets. The games room was enjoyed by children, had super beds and plenty of towels. Super large kitchen, super large fridge/freezer and a small fridge for our beer and wine. Cooker also excellent. Lovely big dining table for us all to gather round and lots of seating in the large lounge with great wall-mounted flat screen TV. Altogether a super house.

We really liked this property - the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the linen in the bedrooms were of especially good quality. For such a large house, the heating and hot water systems worked especially well. The many bathrooms had instant water and there was none of the fiddling that you sometimes have to contend with. We will certainly try to rent this property again.

For an adult family group of 10 it was very good, plenty of communal space and plenty of private space. We especially appreciated the semi-circular bath.

August 2011
The property was very spacious which meant everyone could do their own thing. The games room was an absolute godsend in what was a very wet week - the children spent most of their time in it! The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and we were amazed at how big the house was - it was great!

A lovely spacious, really clean cottage. The kids loved the games room. Plenty of space in the lounge and we were all able to sit down and eat together. Excellent cottage for a party of 12 - would definitely recommend!

Everything was beautiful, property was amazing - everything is like brand new and in top condition, absolutely no hassles. Whatever we had seen in the pictures, it was reflected exactly the same when we landed there. Children especially had great fun!
