It was raining and very cold when we arrived, the bungalow was lovely and warm and welcoming the wine and fudge were a nice surprise but the pot holes in the drive spoilt our arrival it was a very uncomfortable going in and out of the site

I have done self catering holidays many times, but never been anywhere which is so well equipped, if you needed to do washing everything was there including a tumble dryer, we only used the dishwasher once as the amount of washing up we had each day didn't warrant using it as we ate out every day, The wine and fudge as a welcome gift was a lovely gesture, you could not fault this place for anything definate 5 stars..

I had a very comfortable week at Broom Cottage.. It was clean, well equipped, light, spacious and set in a quiet location.

It's in a quiet location and within walking distance from The Donkey Sanctuary, which is well worth the visit.. There was only one downside, and that was you had to drive a couple of miles to the nearest supermarket, not on site. But you can get round that. Would still go back plenty to do within a short distance.

Lovely accommodation providing good quality crockery, electrical equipment bedding etc.. The site is quiet and fabulous for a chill out time. Dont go if you want a club or any facilities.

Great place! Didn't realise how close to the beach it was! Less than a mile to the sea if you walked down the cliff path, and Sidmouth beach (near Jacob's ladder) wasn't crowded with close parking and facilities. Hair dryers were also in the bedrooms, which I don't think was listed. Never had stayed in such a lovely place before with the family. Very quiet. Really great value when compared to other places. The numbering system in the 'village' was confusing, but oh well. Have booked again! Lovely to be greeted with a bottle of wine and card. The owners were also helpful when I messaged them about a couple of things. Also visited the National Trust Places A la Rounde and Killerton. Just a fab place to recharge my batteries ... and of course, the lovely weather really helped. Didn't want to come home!

The cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and everything provided, including tea and coffee which was a bonus.. A lovely touch of a bottle of wine and fudge on arrival. The only downside is the road leading to the property - full of potholes. I have since noted that this was in a review dated November 2017 and nothing seems to have been done.

Broom Cottage was extremely clean and comfortable, with all the kitchen utensils you would need.. It was peaceful with nice views and very near to the Donkey Santuary. We would definitely stay again.

A wonderful cottage with everything you need for a comfortable holiday.. Lovely spot on the site with a view of the sea at Weston Mouth. Convenient for visits to the Jurassic Coast towns. The owners have furnished it to a high standard and included everything you need to self- cater if you wish. Put in wi-fi for us as the site one was not working. We appreciated the wine and fudge and welcome on arrival. We shall be coming back again.

There is no WiFi at this cottage despite what it says in the listing - this is important to some people so please update the listing as soon as possible.. The walls between this cottage and the attached neighbours are paper thin. If your neighbours are quiet or the cottage unoccupied then there is no problem, otherwise conversations can be heard quite clearly through the wall.

Lovely quiet location, twenty minute walk through woodlands and tracks to secluded beach.. Next door to Donkey Sanctuary with its lovely new cafe. Spotlessly clean and generous gift of fudge and wine left for us but also, coffee, tea, washing powder, handwash, loo rolls etc. Every utensil you can think of is in the bungalow. All you need to do is to pack your bag and toothbrush and a bit of food and turn up and enjoy! One small point Wifi is intermittent.

I will not be rebooking as I used the cottage as a base whilst house hunting which I'm glad to say has been successful..

November 2017
Broom Cottage was an excellent property in all respects.. The owners had put a great deal of thought into their guests needs and comfort; fixtures, fittings and accessories were all very good quality and the property was extremely warm, comfortable and well maintained. The only negative point is the standard of the road through the holiday village to individual properties. The road is very heavily pitted with large pot holes which are impossible to avoid and for this reason alone, I would not return to the site.

Lovely out of season break at this little gem of a holiday park.. A fantastic place that we could call 'home' for a week. We'll be keeping an eye on this place. Hopefully with our next booking the swimming pool refurbishment will be completed.

Excellent cottage with everything we needed.. Great location next to the Donkey Sanctuary with a great walk down to the sea. Nice and quiet and very rural but only three minutes drive in to Sidmouth.
