The cottage was lovely very warm had to turn of the heating not a bad thing really, the dogs loved the beach, the walk along the back of the houses to portmahock was excellent the beach is so clean, unusual looking white bird visits the garden, it was ok for us as just me the wife and dogs but if you had a full family there you could do with a bigger toaster lol

We have had a wonderful time in the cottage, as this was the first time we had done this type of break we were not sure what to expect.. But the experience has surmounted all our hopes. There is nothing we would change it was really comfy and our two dogs had a whale of a time, of course the weather could not have been better and the piece and quiet was great. Would definitely try this again.

Great base for touring around North Scotland.. Cottage very good but needs a little updating. A new shower head would be a bonus and the broadband can be very slow at times ( slower than me and I'm getting old!!). Shame the local pub was never open, something to consider when guests are booking late season breaks.Everything else good.

The cottage was a traditional fisherman's cottage in its past; it had all that we needed, bedding, fully equipped kitchen, TV and DVD player, 2 minutes walk to the Dornoch Firth with easy walks around the bay which were greatly appreciated by our dog in the morning.. The location was a good base for day trips South to Speyside and North to Caithness. We ended the holiday not ready to leave which is always a good sign.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in Braemar cottage.. It was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed to make our holiday a good one. We would be very likely to use Sykes again to book our future breaks.

We had a wonderful break at Braemar Cottage.. The location was perfect for heading out to explore the east coast of Scotland and a short distance from the pretty village of Tain and all of the facilities there. Inver is such a quiet wee place and there is absolutely no traffic noise at all - sheer bliss! Dornoch Beach, just up the road is a safe swimming beach and Portmahomack is lovely too. And there are so many great walks to do throughout the region. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and we loved sitting in the conservatory out the back for breakfast and in the evening when we returned from the beach; it was a real sun trap! It has a lovely little dog friendly yard, fully fenced and enclosed. We had a fabulous time and cannot wait to head north again.

We had a lovely stay at Braemar Cottage.. Cottage had everything you need plus lots of things you didn't realise you needed!! Weather wasn't great but the heated conservatory was lovely to sit in of an evening.

This was a very disappointing property given the amount of money charged. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. The decor was tired and dated. The kitchen crockery and utensils were all mis-matched like someone had had a clear out of their own place. The one non-stick frying pan was so badly damaged it was unusable. There was no blind in the children's room which meant sunlight was streaming in from very early in the morning. It is evident that no care or attention has been taken over this property which is a real shame as it is a beautiful area.

The cottage was welcoming and spacious and provided everything one could possibly want. The area and neighbourhood were both delightful. We had such a good time that we are hoping to book again for next year.
