Both bedrooms are on the ground floor together with a shower room and utility. The first floor open plan living area consists of a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. To the outside there is off road parking for two cars and a lawned garden with countryside views. Bracken Beck is an excellent property for friends and families looking to explore both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

Area
Garsdale is a small hamlet of stone cottages and farmhouses, nestled together with a village hall, church and chapel, resting at the foot of the dale alongside the meandering river Clough between Sedbergh and Hawes. Sheep graze on either side of the dale in this tranquil valley which is perfectly situated for days out in the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. The nearest market towns are Sedbergh, 5 miles to the west, and Hawes, 9 miles to the east, both of which retain their ancient character and traditions and are well situated for shops, banks and traditional pubs.

Region
From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

We had a fantastic stay at Bracken Beck.. A stairgate and travel cot were waiting for us and the welcome pack was a wonderful surprise. The cottage is gorgeous, especially it’s ‘upside down’ layout and in a great location for exploring the Dales and the Lakes. We really enjoyed watching birds, sheep and red squirrels whilst eating breakfast.

Beautiful little cottage, perfect location for touring round the Yorkshire dales.. Spent a week here and were certainly not ready to come home, the fire in the evenings made the cottage really cosy, and the welcoming gift was a lovely touch.

Bracken Beck is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of the country.. It's a lovely place to stay, and has been fitted out with the greatest comfort in mind. We were all so impressed we wanted to stay for longer - the beds are very comfy, kitchen extremely well-equipped, and thoughtful extra touches (like a bottle of wine, truckle of Wensleydale cheese and packet of oatcakes left for us) make you feel right at home. We were very pleased to see red squirrels in the garden, and sheep on the hill. The cottage had everything we could want, and more, and is in an excellent location, half-way between Hawes and Sedbergh.
