It was a home from home.. The cottage was equipped with everything that you could possible need for a relaxing and enjoyable break regardless of the weather. A lovely and rural location if you want to be away from it all and with plenty of space for the whole family (including dogs) to enjoy.

It's easy to see the owners of Bod Rhiw have been Letting their cottage for some time.. Nothing you could need during your stay had been over looked, from the very generous welcome provisions to mega comfortable beds, log burners, a well equipped games room, and best of all the Aga. Everyone expects a mixed bag of weather in Wales, but it didn't seem to matter on the one day we were confined to the cottage, as there was so much to occupy us. A thoroughly relaxing great time had by us all.

We fell in love with Bod Rhiw the minute we arrived. The location is lovely and peaceful but close to all the beautiful beaches on the Llyn peninsula. The cottage itself was stunning and exceptionally clean with everything you need and more. We spent our evenings in the barn with the cosy log burner, listening to music and trying to play pool. There are so many books and games for all age groups. The weather wasn't always good so it was lovely to settle in front of the fire and relax. Great garden and paddock for the dogs to go mad and we did manage a couple of evenings outside and even had a bbq . Thanks to Simon (the owner) for your help and knowledge of the area and all the wonderful goodies left for us! We will definitely return.

Having holidayed for many years in cottages with our dogs this has to be one of the most comfortable, well equipped cottages we’ve ever stayed in.. It is packed with books and games and the pool table is a bonus. The barn/games room is huge and with its cosy sofas and wood burner, we spent most evenings in this room. The aga in the kitchen meant the house was always warm and welcoming after a long coastal walk - of which there are many on the doorstep. We were warmly welcomed by Simon who has a good knowledge of the area and were given a lovely welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, butter, cheese, Welsh-cakes and Prosecco. There is also a large supply of logs and coal - it really does feel like a home rather than simply a holiday let which helps you relax from the minute you step into the house. The only thing I’d say - if I was being really picky - is it would benefit from having an additional bathroom upstairs but this wasn’t a massive issue and we will definitely visit again.

The cottage has a lovely relaxed feel from the moment we arrived .. We have had many cottage holidays ( normally twice per year ) with our beautiful vizsla girls , and I have to say Simon has given us the best welcome we have ever received .He made us a cup of tea when we arrived after a 6 hour journey and chatted to us about the local area , and best best places to walk with our girls , dog friendly local pubs etc . When we said we were going to Anglesey he suggest Newborough woods which then takes you onto the beach , it was brilliant. The cottage is well stocked with cooking utensils, which is great as we cook everyday. My hubby loved the Aga experience making a banana cake !! . The large enclosed garden is great when the dogs want out late at night without the worry of the road . Simon gave us a call at the start of our holiday just to check everything was ok and said just to call him if we needed to know anything, which is very reassuring. We are definitely going to have another holiday here , the location is good and the walks are fab for anyone with or without a dog . We spent all our time in the games room with the fire on , as it’s a bright cozy room .

When booking l didn't realise the bathroom was on the ground floor, l don't recall that it was mentioned.. Also I recall reading it was only a mile to the beach, but it doesn't state that the walk is quite difficult terrain.

A beautiful cottage, maintaining lots of original features. The barn/games room is a real bonus. Our two pooches loved the enclosed garden and paddock. We received a warm welcome from the friendly owner. The cottage is set in a quiet peaceful location but within easy access of several beaches and local attractions. A very special place and we all are looking forward to returning.

A beautiful cottage with a games room in the barn which is a great bonus. The owners were very friendly and kept in contact with us to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed. It is in a remote location so was perfect to relax and there was plenty to do in the surrounding areas.

This gorgeous cottage has the best of both worlds, Not only is it authentic with the stone floors, Aga and choice of furnishings. It also boasts a well equipped games room in the renovated barn. Perfect for evenings and rainy days. The garden is a lovely size and has a large table for outside dining and a separate paddock for little ones to run wild! There are beaches to explore whichever way you turn and plenty of quirky villages and amenities within a short driving distance. Bod Rhiw is highly recommended by me.
