The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.. Brilliant location for both Windermere and Bowness and not far to drive to Ambleside, Kendal and Keswick. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for a lovely holiday.

A few small things would improve the house .... A few small things would improve the house Another lamp in the living room + some new cushions Definitely new pillows needed in the twin room Heater in en suite bathroom not working No chopping boards in kitchen That said, house was warm and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay

The stool in the living room had a broken leg, i did raise this to Sarah, also there were a few slats missing from the bed in the corner of the back bedroom on the first floor which mean't that at one point my brother's mattress sunk, he was able to take a slat from the bottom of the bed to add to the middle, so it wasn't an issue, I also raised this to Sarah.. All in all a great little cottage in a really good location.

The house was lovely, immaculately clean throughout well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked (although we mostly ate out - great choices locally). It was just over a 5 min stroll into the centre of Windermere. We didn't use the garden but there was a lovely seating area. Sharon the housekeeper was very helpful both before arrival and after we left (sending on favourite jeans which we managed to leave behind!).

The online photos of this cottage make it seem brighter, fresher and better cared for than it actually is. Having recently had a holiday here, I wouldn't recommend it. Although it is in a good location (5 minutes walk to the centre of Windermere), and has a spacious master bedroom with a comfortable bed and a good ensuite, other aspects of the property are lacking. It wasn't as spotless as I'd have liked. Some fixtures and fittings are tired and need replaced and the downstairs rooms are somewhat dark, dingy and unappealing.

Great location, just 5 minutes walk to the centre of Windermere. Well furnished, comfortable and clean. Sharon the housekeeper was excellent with communication prior and after the stay. Would highly recommend this property!

Very comfortable cottage. Fantastic location, close to pubs and restaurants. 15 minute walk from train station

Booked this last minute for a holiday in half term! Stayed 4 nights and loved the lovely gas fire in the cosy front room. Bedrooms all clean and nicely decorated. VERY close to Windermere- 10 minute walk MAX! 30 second drive! Only downside is it is near a lot of other houses where people live as opposed to other people on vacation so if you love the 'holiday' feel this may not be for you

The cottage was first class, very central located so no need to use the car once you are there. Everything is within walking distance and there is plenty of on street parking. We could not fault anything, a very nice weekend away.

Spent a weekend at the bluebells and its a lovely place to stay. The rooms a spacious and clean and the beds are so comfy. Nice area at the back to sit out in the sun. You can park you car right outside the property and in a few mintes walk you are in Windermere village. Will definitely be returning.

Bluebells was situated in a perfect location for transport to shops, lakes, boats and open top buses. The house was roomy and comfortable with a good sized separate dining room.

We stayed at this beautiful holiday home with a mixture of adults and children. The house is immaculate , well equipped , spacious and has wifi which is a bonus for the children on iPads etc. the beds were very comfortable and made up with crisp white sheets - perfect ! The top floor bedroom has a large bedroom with ensuite which was great for me and my husband, the kids used the main bathroom. The house offers plenty of space so your not on top of each other. It's only a five to ten minute walk into Windermere so no need to bother with the car. There are plenty of nice eating and drinking places and a park around the corner for the kids. Fantastic house and location, highly recommend !!

Would certainly recommend staying here. Beds were lovely and comfy, quiet area, Very Central so close to all amenities such as shops, plenty of restaurants. Only down the road to Windemere Boating lake, Other places to visit are only a few miles away.

Booked Bluebells for a long weekend with my husband and enjoyed a very comfortable and homely stay. The house was clean (freshly decorated) and the kitchen was well equipped. Slept in the spacious double room on the third floor which has an en-suite with a large shower; the kingsize bed was extremely comfortable (in fact my husband said it was comfier than our bed at home!) The house is in a brilliant location; Windermere (village) is just an easy 10 minute walk with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and a very nice supermarket/deli (Booths) near the railway station. Bowness is 15 minutes stroll in the opposite direction. It is a 20 minutes stroll to the boat jetties in Bowness from where you have a choice of cruises which drop off at Lakeside and Ambleside. You can park on the street outside, although you could stay here without a car and still access the Lake District.
