The location and property were both fantastic.. It was a really homely atmosphere everything was as a self catering holiday should be.
There was 9 people staying for one night, there was still plenty of space, and facilities were not stretched. There is a village shop, but it took some finding, it is up the lane by the cottage on the left behind the church. There was a woodburner, which was great, but once the wood ran out, neither we nor the caretaker could find the keys to the garage where the extra logs were stored. It did not mar our stay, possibly a previous tennant took them home. The only down side which possibly needs looking at is that there are no gates above the stairs which leads to the cellar, which has been turned into a very useful games/play room. This access was from the kitchen diner, which was in daily use. The end of the dining table backs onto this staircase, so caution is needed when as us you all sit around the table and one chair backs onto this staircase. Other than this, an ideal property to rent I would stay there again. If the owners sort out this stair gate, they get a ten from me. Thank you
