The property was perfect.. Large bedrooms with very comfortable beds and storage space. Bathroom had a bath and shower with good water pressure and hot water. Utility room was well equipped and instructions provided for everything. Living room had dining area and 2 couches with TV and lots of books and board games. The kitchen was amazing with everything you could want or need - slow cooker, 2 ovens, lots of pans etc. The whole house was spotless and to a high standard.
The garden area was beautiful with gardens right around the house. There is an open stream on the back of the garden which was very tranquil when sitting in the hot tub. Garden also had table and chairs and a bench. Hot tub was great. Decent size with mood lighting and was enjoyed by everyone. The foot bath was a great touch to keep dirt out of the tub.
The games room was great. The small heater was definitely needed in the evening and allowed us to stay out there for as long as we wanted playing fusball, pool and badminton.
Towels and bed linen were provided.
The hostess, Isabelle, was very welcoming and helpful. And there were folders of information regarding local walks and places to visit.
Very good Wifi signal too. Would definitely recommend and cannot wait to return next year.
Bungalow is well located on the outskirts of the village so nice and quiet but a very good local shop and pubs are within easy reach.. Hot tub was excellent and well used by our party, garden is a good size and dog friendly although it is unfenced along the riverside. Kitchen was well equipped and everything worked (not always the case).

Everything was excellent.. Location, hit tub and the kitchen was amazing. Wifi for tv a little poor and shower but fidgety. You could do with a heater in games room. I would definitely come back again.
Isabel was very helpful and if you called her she answers everytime.
Thank you for letting us stay.

Perfect location near beach lots of different types of walking.. Also the vllage has good amenities. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need for your holiday including a hot tub. The only problem is creaky floorboards throughout.
Lovely clean cottage.. Very well equipped. Super comfortable bed. Felt very at home & relaxed here.
Excellent base to explore the lakes & lovely local walks too.
The dogs & us enjoyed it & we would not hesitate to book it again.
Great place for a holiday.. Very quiet location. The owner was helpful when the washer broke, and did the washing for us. Then she brought and fitted a new washer.
Garden is large but is not secure if your dogs have a tendency to roam.
All together a relaxing holiday with walks on the doorstop. Can recommend to anyone.
Perfect location peaceful and still near facilities fells and beach not to far away.. Walks from the door. Hot tub a bonus after a long walk up the fells and everything we needed for our stay in the cottage.
The cottage was lovely, the garden amazing, the facilities fab, wonderful setting, us and our dogs had the best holiday ever.. .. truly blissful.
I have spoken with Claire from Sykes to discuss this situation.. John Wood
We have just spent new year in bleng Garth cottage which was fantastic.. Cottage has everything in it that you could possibly need. Beautiful location along with a gorgeous walk into the town of gosforth, where the locals make you feel welcome along with your dogs. Fantastic trip to be repeated again .
Nice cottage just not hard to find if you don’t know the area at all keys just left in the kitchen door open on arrival hot tub facility is great but not much else to do locally.. Very loud floor boards no blinds just very dark curtains and no blind in the bathroom loud at night with animals in the field next to the cottage. Didn’t appreciate upon checkout no time was stated received a text saying cleaners should be round at 11 which gives a bit more time however was rudely spoken too when “cleaner” arrived saying “you should of been out at 10 really I’ve got other people waiting to come” when having empty everything leaving cottage spotlessly clean
The property was good and had everything you needed in kitchen.. We thought the property was ours for the week so were very unimpressed to arrive home one afternoon to find someone actually in the property said he was checking electrics. We had left personal items in the property of ours. Then again another day we came home and found that someone had been around as windows had been closed in kitchen and bathroom that we had left on catches. We took our dog and one night went to let her out at 10pm only to find an enormous cow in the garden who would not move and took up the stance ready to charge so had to ring owners and he came down and got cow back into field but every day after in the evening the cow came down and tried to get back into the garden so felt very unsure about letting out dog into garden on her own. Even thought generally we were with her we didn't feel able to turn our backs.
This is a very comfortable property in a perfect location.. It is very peaceful by the river. Everything you could require for a holiday is provided and it was very comfortable. My request for a teapot was quickly acted upon. The only thing wrong with the cottage is the lack of a blind in the bathroom which faces onto a lane.
No blinds on bathroom windows no teapot or trays no waste bins in lounge or bedrooms no wastebin liners
Lovely cottage no hassle to book, comfortable and warm and a great area to explore the lakes, excellent facilities in the cottage and would love to go back again..
Lovely cottage in an excellent location.. We were very warm and comfortable the dogs loved the big garden and was very quiet and peaceful just listening to the river and watching the birds. We will definitely return.
Excellent cottage with great facilities, very cosy place to stay in the Lake District
The property was well furnished and equipped.. Triple aspect views from the lounge so wherever you sat you could see the views. A lovely little tiver trickled past at the rear of the property.
Comfort and cosy warmth made for a wonderful holiday and we will no doubt return. Owner was very helpful but not obtrusive.
Wonderful, comfortable cottage.. So peaceful....just the sound of the river in the back garden. Great location for lakes, fella and coast. 1 hour 15 mins from Keswick. 1 hour 30 from Windermere (take Hardknott/Wrynose pass.......if you dare!!). Dogs loved it too. Would not hesitate in coming back again.
I would have liked to have had someone meet us and show us around the property and how the heating hot water system worked.. This apart the cottage was very equiped and in a lovely location the village of Gosforth is only 15 min walk and has great pubs and places to eat. All very friendly and welcoming
Good location for West Cumbria.. Reasonable pubs and restuarants in easy reach and a well stocked village shop.
Beautiful cottage, quietly location, yet not remote.. I loved it would like to return in the future. Beautiful river running at the end of the garden. Walking distance to local shops.
