Blaensilltyn is a detached farmhouse set on a working livestock and arable farm, 2.5 miles from the market town of Newcastle Emlyn. This cottage sleeps twelve people in five bedrooms, consisting of one super king-size double with en-suite corner bath, two king-size doubles, one twin and one adult bunks, as well as a bathroom and ground floor shower room. Cot and highchair. The cottage also has a kitchen with breakfast bar and conservatory with dining area, a sitting room and a second sitting room with a double sofa bed. Outside the cottage has off road parking for six cars, front, enclosed patio with furniture, an enclosed lawned garden with hot tub, patio and furniture, and there's also a games room with table tennis and darts. Blaensilltyn is an ideal retreat for families and friends in an area that has something for everyone. Please note: This property only allows dogs in the downstairs of the property.

The bustling market town of Newcastle Emlyn is situated on the River Teifi and offers a number of shops, antiques, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and a ruined castle. Nearby is wonderful countryside, plus the Cardiganshire coastline is ten miles away, and within driving distance is the town of Carmarthen.

Over three phone calls, I was on the phone for over 100 minutes.. Not acceptable even during the Covid-19 period. Also, it was only due to me ringing that we found out that we had to take our own linen, sheets, pillows, duvets and towels. Also that we couldn't use the games room and the BBQ. Also, the check in and out times had changed. Luckily, after contacting the owner, we were allowed to use the games room and BBQ as long as we cleaned them properly. We were told we would be called back by Sykes but we weren't. The lady who we eventually spoke to was better but the wait to get through was unacceptable. However, all of this was forgotten as the cottage was fabulous and the owner was great too.

Just returned from an amazing 7 night stay at Blaensilltyn.. The location is awesome with plenty of wildlife and cattle around. We were lucky to see Red kites swooping from the sky as the farmers ploughed the fields. The home is everything you could want and more. The home is furnished to a high standard and the space you have is brilliant if you have teenagers (we have 4) The Kitchen and Dining area is well equipped. All the bedrooms are spacious and furnished lovingly. Having 3 separate showers with one by the kitchen was brilliant before using the jacuzzi. The highlight for us was the use of the Jacuzzi (even in the rain) and the large back garden and front patio area.Thank you to the owners for an amazing stay in such a beautiful location.Highly recommend.

Excellent holiday home for the week over New year.. The house was very spacious, well equipped and maintained throughout. The property is located in the middle of nowhere so really peaceful although, although a few cows nearby. The WiFi was hit and miss so with kids was the only real downside. The hot tub was a very big plus for all. Overall very nice, comfortable and what would like to get anway for the week / weekend. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay and everything was exactly as listed.. The house is very big, we were a family party of twelve and had loads of space. The facilities were excellent and the owners very helpful. There is loads to do in the surrounding area and we are already planning to return. I would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay with high quality accommodation in a beautiful part of the world

The cottage was brilliant we all absolutely loved our 1 week stay here, the cottage offers everything you would need and more the games room was a bonus and enjoyed by all especially the kids.. This is a lovely spacious house that was equipped with everything you could think of.. There were 4 adults and 5 children in our party and the house accommodated us all without feeling we were living on top of each other. The hot tub was a great hit with everyone.

We was a family of 12, ageing from 2-60, we all had a great time, had plenty of use from the hot tub and the kids made extra use of the games rooms, overall we loved it.. Lovely added touch of fresh eggs and 2 bottles of wine in the fridge for our arrival.

It was our fourth time in 'the big house' and we will definitely be booking again for next year.. The house provides everything we need and more. Ages ranged from 4 to 71 and everyone was catered for. We spent most of our time in the kitchen (when we were inside of course). The kitchen is very well equipped and has a dining table big enough to seat us all which is really important to me and my family. Huw, the owner is great. He comes to the house every day to service the hot tub, and is very quick to respond if you have a problem. The house is in a great area. Very quiet as it's in the middle of farmland with the only neighbours being horses, cows and sheep, but close to the most magnificent beaches, castles etc. There's so much to do in that area you are really spoiled for choice. Can't wait to go back.

A beautiful setting, this cottage is in the middle of fields.. Our neighbours were horses and cows. Great (huge!) hot tub and the owners were good at responding to a couple of repair issues. Excellent space with the addition of the games rooms out the front. Ideal for family groups as lots of space. Be prepared to be in your car everyday if you want to see local sights. Whilst the setting is idyllic it is quite remote, very narrow lanes means it’s difficult to walk too far from the house. Would definitely recommend.

Totally agree with all the good reviews. Really lovely spacious well presented, spacious property. The property is described as dog friendly - just need to add a note of information. It wasn't until we got to the property we found a hand written note in the welcome pack that dogs had to be kept only in the kitchen and utility room. Whilst we have no problem with the normalrequests from properties of no dogs on furniture or bedrooms ... we hadn't realised that our dog was not going to be allowed in the other communal rooms with us. The kitchen whilst being a very nice area complete with TV , was not the room I had envisaged spending most of our holiday in with our pet dog. Our dog is used to sleeping in a utility room at home, but she is part of the family and shutting her away whilst we all chilled out in the other rooms proved to be a tad stressful. Most properties include this kind of information in the description of the property which we feltshould have been the case here. If you have a farm/ working dog that is used to being kept away from you - you will have no problem with this property. We still managed to have a lovely holiday despite it being spent, most of the time in the kitchen!

Excellent house for a big family to enjoy a relaxing break with loved one's we spent new year in the hot tub which was well maintained and there was even a games room to keep the kids occupied. On arrival to this lovely clean home we had fresh eggs and 2 bottles of wine which was a bonus there was also every thing provided from utensils to baby cots and gates this is a wonderful place in a wonderful part of the country really feels like home from home highly recommend will be coming back

Celebrated my 60th birthday and New Year with my family, including my three grandchildren. Spent seeing in the New Year in the hot tub - absolutely fantastic. Accommodation superb, Welsh cakes, bottle of wine and fresh eggs provided by the owner absolute treat. Owner very helpful. Our Tibetan terrier had a wonderful holiday too. An amazing cottage in a wonderfully secluded location. It was fully kitted out for plenty of guests with nothing overlooked. A wonderful cottage with a large amount of living space, a wonderful enclosed garden perfect for playing with the kids and dog, and enough beds to accommodate 10 easily. The house was well maintained and clean. The hot tub was maintained daily by the owner who answered all our questions promptly.

The property was beyond expectations as the online pictures don't do it justice. For example; there are no pictures of the fantastic hot tub which, in line with everything in the house, is of the highest quality. The fixtures and fittings in the house are of a very high quality. The house is very spacious and the en suite in the master bedroom is huge. All beds are comfy particularly the bunk beds where the mattresses are really thick. The table tennis, pool table and dartboard in one of the barns is an added bonus. All in all one of the best houses we have stayed in.
